Question for you JCAs -- has the herringbone vest been popping back? It shows up when I search for "vest" but I haven't caught it in stock in a while.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it pop back! If I were you, I'd have my local store look up inventory and have it ordered. It's super popular and has sold out almost everywhere. My closest store is an hour away and I went during the 40% off sale. The SA was nice enough to call and order it for me and added the extra 30% off (since I'd spent like $150) so I only ended up paying $45 a piece.

DeleteUnfortunately there's no store near me. I've called to ask and they told me XXS is an online exclusive and completely sold out. I should finally snip the tags off my XS (which might be the right size anyway) and count myself very lucky!

DeleteI have seen the herringbone vest on pop back, as recently as this past week. It's usually one random size at a time, and in very limited quantities. I ordered one on the 15th on a pop back, and it was backordered until the October 10th. As soon as I made my purchase, it became out of stock on the website. I was able to order the vest through a store via charge send, so I ended up cancelling the order. HTH.
Has anyone tried the factory multicolor Fair Isle sweater? Wondering if it's itchy and/or TTS. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to grab the ripstop utility jacket and the tailored shirt dress, but they are both sold out in my size. CS said that factory stores do not carry either in xxs, but if you happen to see the army green ripstop jacket or the tailored navy shirt dress in xxs, please let me know! I called my closest store and they said neither are available at other stores.

ReplyDeleteFits the same as the retail version, have found mine have lost buttons relatively quickly. One developed a tear where the neck tag is. But for the price I think they're fine.

ReplyDeleteSorry, I know this is late. I found that the Jacket is TTS. I usually wear Medium, which is what I ordered. I can wear a med thick sweater underneath and it's fine. I also could have sized up to a Large. The black isn't as "shiny" as the retail version. It is definitely a light jacket and is best for early fall and spring. I couldn't find any obvious defects, but I've only had it two weeks.

DeleteMe too, Cate! I was highly annoyed that I didn't receive the email notification of this sale. I hopped on chat to inquire about it, and was told by the rep that the email went to everyone on the distribution list. Seems funny to me that I receive both factory and retail emails every day...sometimes multiple times/day...at both my personal and work email addresses, but I didn't receive his one. Contrary to what the rep said, I'm fairly certain this email didn't go to everyone, and I'm also fairly certain that was intentional. My husband, who has never purchased anything from J. Crew online, received the email.
