I love the loose-ish silk color block pants (black w/beige stripe), but have no idea what top to wear w/them. I tried a thousand the other night and had to bail on wearing them b/c nothing looked good. Contemplating returning them..... Thoughts?

ReplyDeleteJruby18- go to the Net-a Porter website. Last week there was a whole article about how they are the hottest craze and in the shopping section attached to the article they had some great ideas. You need to wear heels and something closer to the body on top to balance the fullness of the pants. I am a personal stylist and I wore them to work w/ the Lillian suede sandal ( heels kill my feet all day) with a black silk tank ( few years ago), untucked and the tortoise shell flower necklace and the white linen blazer w/ black tipping. I got lots of compliments. Also a jean jacket would look good too.
ReplyDeleteExcellent suggestions! Thx so much!! I have black Valentina pumps. I had beige leather wedge sandals on and that looked good when I was working on outfits. Just couldn't get the top right. I love the jean jacket idea! Now gotta get a black silk tank....
DeleteSorry- I just remembered that I started the day with the leopard ( last year) Valentina pumps. The pointed toe looks good with this. Changed into the Lillians after a few hours!
