ReplyDeleteno additional % off today, but some new arrivals were in -- the new ruffled cardi, some new belts (including the studded ones), and I picked up my 4th fall item -- a gorgeous ruched scarf/wrap, listed at $45 - came in a mulberry, avocado/olive, cream, charcoal, and (the one I got!) BUTTERSCOTCH!

That's the only thing I'll lift my ban for this month, although seeing those Cosette mary janes on sale did tempt me a bit.

On vacation this week and stopped in yesterday to the Hyannis, MA J.Crew (at Cape Cod Mall). Wonderful SA named Mimi was super helpful. Lots of swirling flower tees on sale and tanks as well as swirling ruffle cardis in the blush color and lots of chinos, corsage cardis (black) and tons of flower flip-flops. I got some nice sale items and one new merino sweater -- not online yet -- v-neck and ruffles as well as my much coveted boyfriend military jacket in the surplus grey color! Yeah! Nice store...very helpful and pleasant SAs there! They confirmed new roll-out in stores by Tuesday/Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteIf I were going to layer anything substantial underneath, I would actually size up so as not to stretch the arms, althought I would be concerned that the body would be too baggy. But since it's lightweight I don't put more than a cami or tee underneath so it's perfect. HTH!

ReplyDeleteDoubt I'll make it to a B&M this weekend, but I did pull the trigger on the watercolor tortoiseshell silk/wool skirt last night. Initially, I didn't notice this skirt at all but took a look at it after hearing good things about it from a few JCAs, decided I {loved} it, couldn't stop thinking about it for several days, and finally placed my order at about 11:59pm last night. I'll post a review once I receive it in case any of you are considering buying it too.

ReplyDeleteI was in the rockingham park nh store two days ago and the store did not look great. There was NO sale section and low stock on sept arrivals. Did not have school boy or professor jacket. Very dissapointing
ReplyDeleteStacy - I believe the new rollout is next Tue or Wed. According to someone I spoke with there will be consistent new shipments now through the holidays. The SA rattled off about 3 between now and Thanksgiving and then 2 or 3 after that. Not sure how accurate that is. Also not sure if they will simply receive a certain number of boxes/items each time and mix them in with whatever is on the floor. OR if there will be massive rollouts like the one in July where the whole storefront has been swapped for new items. ReplyDeleteWent to the Beachwood Oh B&M after I had to return some stuff to another store. All I got was the navy linen tweed mica mini for $19.99... someone must have returned it. It's cute enough for that price, and hopefully I'll wear it a few times before it gets too cold to do so!

Cotton Long vneck Cardi in copper (the long one with 2 front pockets)- This is actually an exchange, I ordered my usual size (S), and it was very boxy and sloppy looking.
Paisley perfect shirt in pumpkin- Excited for this!
Cambridge Cable Crew in plum raisin- Last week I ordered one in sage, and I love it! Feels more soft and substantial than last years version, although I could be imagining it, as mine from last year is a bit worn (Pilled) out.
Perfect Crew LS Tee in rust- love these autumn colors
Perfect pencil skirt in cinnamon- Couldnt resist, even at full price!! Ive heard good reviews though, and I cant wait to wear this color!!
Some other items I've tried recently:
Cashmere Shawl Popover Sweater- great sweater, runs a tiny bit large (good for layering), but I wouldnt size down. I got mine in heather aqua-- Not sure if I like it with my complexion, so may exchange for a different color. The cashmere feels softer and denser to me than last years, but again, it's impossible to compare, as I dont have a new item from last year
Carlin Coat- Have been eyeing, and stock has been dwindling!! I have not tried this on, but I called CS and they told me they would be receiving another shipment (for online) on the 28th-- So this may also apply to other items, as well
I also have bootcut cords and a boyfriend-esque sweater on the way from M+O, I'll post a quick review when they arrive!

I went it to return a few items at the Mall in Columbia and bought the black/white/grey tweed pencil skirt...it fit TTS and is quite soft! They had only a few left...I was lucky they had my size. The SA said they were flying out the door.

ReplyDeleteI think I saw signs at the Cambridgeside Galleria saying that the Eden blazer was now $118, but I was on my way out and didn't look too closely. Has anyone else seen this?
ReplyDeleteAnd they had some of the doggie tees when I was there, but again, I wasn't looking around carefully, so not sure about sizes or other hot items available, sorry! The sale section was pretty small overall.
