"Thanks!" goes to many of you, including MissMasala, Marietta, love2shop4bags, & Heather:D, as well as Silver_Lining (in this post), who let us know about J.Crew's latest email.J.Crew announced that their final sale online (click here) offers prices up to 50% off now.
To be honest, I was hoping to see a "% off final sale" email instead of this one. Oh well! A JCA can dream, right? ;) Unless there are some amazing deals, I plan on holding out for Fall's new arrivals (which look fabulous!)
Are you planning to purchase anything in the Final Sale? If so, what items are you planning to get? If not, what are the reasons behind your decision (e.g. nothing tempting to get, promo not enticing enough)?

ReplyDeleteAnybody tried the Maya cardigan yet? I'm totally curious! Also eyeing the Anton sweater, but saw that it was listed in the sweaters under Dream yarn, so that has me very apprehensive.
I picked up the Aurora heels, which popped back earlier this morning. Otherwise, saving up for fall.... :-)

ReplyDeleteI didn't notice any lower prices either. I have a few items I'd like to get (that I've tried on already) as soon as there's an extra percent off (to help cover shipping).
ReplyDeletesilver_lining: I bought the maya cardigan in charcoal...i really like it, a modern twist on a classic. Fits TTS and isn't super long like some of the other cardigans that are out right now. (great for me b/c i'm short!)

ReplyDeleteI bought a couple of pop backs today, like the silk indigo top and space dyed cardiagn. I hope they work for me ;) Otherwise, I am holding out for all the fall arrivals.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like all the other stores are doing big friends and family discounts (e.g., 30% off at GAP, ON, BR, AT, ATL). I wish JC would do the same, or at least for the sale items.
I was disappointed as well that the prices for the existing sale items also were not reduced further.
Oh well...I hope another red card comes out for fall items.
Newbie here! Could someone explain to me why some things show up in Final Sale and then are back to full price again (i.e. Classic Leather Belt and suede Juliet pumps in chalkboard)? I'm confused and annoyed:)

Oh & Roxy, me too! For some reason, whenever I log on to the NYTimes site I seem to get a lot of Jcrew banners. I must say, they seem rather indiscriminate. Yesterday I saw several (admittedly cute) adverts for crewcuts. I'm a DINK, so I never shop that part of the site. I don't think I'm dragging cookies over from jcrew, but I could be mistaken.
Still looking forward to the fall season. Anyone out there hoping for another HOHOHO promo?

I did not notice a price change and I have been watching several items - trousers, etc. I am VERY disappointed that there has not been a % off email and will definitely be holding out for that and new fall items.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering, does anyone know what Jcrew's sales/promotion patterns are, or if there is one at all? Do they do 20% off of sale items mid month or end of month (around paycheck time perhaps)? I have not seen a 15% off in a long time on like $150 or $175 order.

ReplyDeleteKate: I like the dream sweaters. I don't like them as much as cashmere, but I have a few dream sweaters and they hold up well. I ordered the Anton, but haven't rec'd it yet.
No more final sale for me!! It is ridiculous that I can't return something that doesn't fit and is online only. its a waste of my time and money. I'd rather spand it on the new stuff.

I think the "up to 50% off" wording means that some items in the sale are half of their original price and doesn't necessarily mean that there are new sale items or newly reduced prices. A little misleading if you're too busy rushing to the website to give it much thought! :)
ReplyDeleteI picked up the metallic-dot fern bikini bottom to go with the bikini top I ordered a while back. Someone must have returned one they bought cause it had been sold out for a long time. I also grabbed a couple of $9.99 Tall XL t-shirts for my brother. He's 6'6" and they fit him so well.
Does anyone know how long final sale lasts? As in, when will it finally go away? Ha ha.

ReplyDeleteI love the Salina flats- I own a number of pairs of them. They definitely fit TTS- I would not size down or your feet will be squished! And they don't stretch, at least not in my experience.
Arianna, sorry for the late reply. They got me with the Juliet too and I'm not a newbee ;-). It's a matter of color. It means that certain colors are on sale but when you clic on the icon they only show you those that are not (like the chalkboard and the black). If you go to the sale section, you'll find them under the shoes category (there are two colors on sale).

ReplyDeleteI purchased the strapless sangle taffeta dress in black... but only because I'm to wear it in a wedding next month. I DID notice, however, that the price dropped $50 from $149 to its current $99 when the new email came out.
ReplyDeleteI thought about it but I just bought a bunch of clothes from the fall colection a week ago and I bought a belt, clutch, and skirt at my B&M store yesterday, so I have to be good and save my money for the winter collection...but I'll probably weaken and cave in to buying the professor blazer/jacket when it comes out.
