  1. How fun! I'm driving to Houston tomorrow, too :) I'll have to email and ask what time it is, though I'm not sure I'll get there in time.

  2. I love the picture you chose, too :) Could never pull that off IRL, but it's pretty.

  3. Shares: You are so right about the outfit! Very cute on the model but almost impossible for anyone else to wear. :)

  4. That is a great outfit in the pic! I'd go for a skirt instead, but everything else is cool. I love the way that the pieces go so it's fine having black and brown together. It takes away from the bumblebee effect of the black and yellow, too. The tights with the Charlies is what does it for me, I'm kind of a pointelle junkie.

Have a great time at the do, Houston JCAs! Hope the new arrivals are up to expectations.

  5. PS, anyone debating on the Palma anklewrap heels, step away from the credit card. I am heinously disappointed with the pair I got from last week's 20% off + free ship deal. They're actually really pretty on, and the leather is surprisingly good quality, but the fit is TERRIBLE. The toe is way too almond shaped for an open toe shoe. I can't imagine whose foot is actually shaped that way! The toe strap is very short, while the ankle strap is really long, so much so that I would have had to punch more holes if I kept them. Last the rise of the footbed was wicked awkward. It was like I was standing on tiptoe, my foot only met shoe at the toe and heel. I'd recommend getting them only if you try them on first, they just don't fit like any other JC shoe I've tried. So glad they aren't final sale!

  9. I'm always a day late and a dollar short. I'll be in Houston about a week and a half later. I am, though, really looking forward to shopping in a B&M. There isn't one in my state. :-(

  10. Cheesy, the toe on the Palmas sounds like the toe on the Elodies - way too almond-shaped as well. It just looked weird. The straps felt like plastic instead of patent leather, and there was definitely potential for them to cut into the foot. I hope too many people don't end up stuck with these shoes!
