Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Great new sale today SHOPSALE with extra 50% off sale and up to 50% off on some new arrivals. I grabbed the Collection quilted cocoon jacket in heavy satin AQ458 in warm olive for $99. I already have this jacket in navy and I love it. It is not heavy enough for a super cold winter day but great for the rest of fall and winter. The Sherpa collar is removable so you could even wear it into spring too. I took a size small and is is generous fit but roomier in the shoulders than the hips. I also grabbed the high rise wide leg trouser in leopard AQ617 many of you have raved about for $10 and a couple pairs of earrings. Sadly I was not able to grab any of the great deals on cashmere sweaters this morning but I hope some of you were lucky. It looked like a swarm of locusts had come through the Cashmere section.

    1. I wanted that jacket too, but simply could not justify it!

I sent two pair of dress pants to my stepson who was looking for some 'business casual' outfits. There were some great deals on mens suiting.

March is card member month so we get an additional 20 off all month!

    1. I also bought the Liberty romper! Been waiting for that to go on sale for sooo long, lol. The reviews are positive so I'm hoping I'll love it!

  3. Ladies, I’m so happy for the great deals you’re finding. I’ll live vicariously through you since still no shipping to Canada. I’m so annoyed.

@Kate, the beach is calling to me so badly. Since our trip was canceled last year it will be two years since we’ve been to a beach destination and honestly it’s crazy how I realize how much those trips meant to us. My little guys keep asking. I hope that you’re able to get away sometime in the near future. At least things are moving in the right direction.

    1. Jan, like you I'm sorry to be missing out on the great deals our American friends get. The good news is I'm not buying things just because they are on sale.

And like so many of you I was to be in Maui the past two weeks. First time in almost ten years that there was no winter getaway for us. Here's to things improving in the coming months.

    3. @jcrew guy, good point, it has forced us to put on the brakes and avoid sales goggles. It’s probably good to have a breather but I am really curious about what changes will happen. How can it take so long?

Maui sounds so amazing, hopefully you get back there sooner than later. If it wasn’t such a long flight from Ontario we would’ve gone there in the past. Looks so beautiful.

@Kate, Aruba or Turks sounds like a dream vacation. I know that you have your vaccine so I hope that it works out for you. Working in health care you really deserve that vacation!

    5. I think warm weather will help! Winter is tough to do local outdoor activities! It’s cold and grey! Although was never a fan on beaches here, I can do a beach day at jersey shore right about now! 😆!!
I think and hope next year will be better!!!
One day at the time I guess!!!
Suz has... South sounds wonderful! It is a lot warmer!

  4. No great deals for me today. I’m sick of the shopping/return cycle and final sale doesn’t make me want to pull the trigger. Maybe with an extra 20 off I’d be swayed to buy a few things. Still waiting on the relaxed fit button up, maybe with my rewards when it goes on promo...

Our last beach trip was to PR thanksgiving of 2019 with all our girls. Husband is pushing to get away but I don’t want to have to quarantine after. If anything we will drive down to ATL next month to visit our two older girls who both relocated there.

    1. @Suz, at least ATL should have nice weather and I’m sure that seeing your girls will be amazing.

    2. My eldest is in savannah for the moment and it’s about 80 degrees there!

    3. That sounds amazing! The snow is about knee deep here. Savannah looks beautiful, hope she gets to enjoy it. 😊

    4. Thank you, Jan! She lived there for five years and loves the south. ♥️

    5. Suz Has, that’s great, I didn’t realize that she’s been there so long. Gives you a nice excuse for some warmer weather. ❤️

    6. Well she was home since Memorial Day but has been planning her escape to Atlanta since. Her goal was always to head back down this past fall but understandably things changed due to COVID.

  5. Good prices on a few of the sneakers, but I don’t like the final sale.

  6. I had posted about ordering everlane sweaters from Nordstrom and Rack. Prices were fair but one sweater had a very strong perfume smell and one was worn looking. I already tried soaking the perfume one and it still smells.
I’m wondering if everlane sells their returns to Nordstrom/rack. I don’t know how merchants get rid of that stuff, like how Marshall’s and TJMaxx get their stuff, so I could be wrong. Maybe there’s a broker of some kind. (Didn’t Ramona from housewives of NY do that?)
Anyway, all they will do is allow the return of both items. I may try soaking the sweater again as I love the color and fabric.
So buyer beware. Luckily it’s not a major hassle to return if needed.

    1. Sorry to hear this @SuzHas. I’ve had a couple of items arrive from JCrew this past fall/winter smelling very strongly of perfume. One was a pair of jeans. I kept the jeans and after washing a few times in a row they were better. I did have a few items arrive from stores (when I bought directly over the phone) in the past smelling of perfume but I think it was from the store itself. Some stores seemed to have a scent or spray something. I hope that it works out for you.

    2. Perfumes is retained by oils, so that's why a plain water soak may not help. Might try soaking in water with white vinegar then again in plain water. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to use a soap or detergent.

    3. I soaked with a little Dr Bronners lavender soap which I use on all my hand washables. I’ll
Try with a little white vinegar too.

It def was more of a direct strong scent as opposed to an ambient store smell. And I can’t remember the last time I wore perfume so I’m even more sensitive.

    4. I once had a bottle of perfume leak in my suitcase, and one dress that happened to be wrapped around the perfume box got soaked in perfume and reeked of it. I ended up soaking the dress in detergent and washing it, and repeating the process about three times before the smell diminished enough that it wasn't noticeable anymore. It was a cotton dress (I'm not sure how the fabric content affects how strongly the perfume adheres) but I'm hoping you'll have luck doing the same thing with your sweater!

    5. I don’t know about Everlane, but I’ve occasionally seen department store tags on clothes in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s, so they do get some leftover department store stock. I used to live near a Marshall’s store that sometimes had a few pairs of Free People store display shoes and boots. I was so excited when I found them in my size as they were always $39.99 rather than around $300 retail.

  7. My liberty romper got canceled! How is it possible. I bought it at 7am. Lol 😂 ohhh well not like it’s summer now!

    2. Check for your size popping up again. If you order and then call CS they will adjust the price to your cancelled price.

    3. Thanks all!! Probably a sign that I don’t need it! Lol! But I will keep an eye out for it!!!
