Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. CARDLOVE is working again after the weekend "hold" on it (eye roll). So now many prices are better. Thinking of trying the ruffle neck tuxedo shirt (AS759) to wear under sweaters and blazers. One positive review, one negative review, hmm.

    1. @julielion96, I tried it and not working for me. Thanks for posting

    2. oh no, that's strange! I just tried it again and it worked. It does not work if you're not logged in or if you enter it on the shopping bag page. You have to click thru to payment page (so it knows you are paying with JC card) and then enter the code in the code box on the payment page.

Also I can't find the "goat print" items online. (so curious to see :). I looked through all the new arrivals...is there an item number?

    4. @julielion96, yes I was able to apply card love thanks. Look tonight for the goat blouse. Who know perhaps Jcrew will throw some items out earlier. Thanks for your reply. Have a good day.

  2. New Arrival alert! So, I love the new goat print collection shirt and dress. The colors are set on a black back drop and it makes them really pop. The goat is featured with different horns or poses making it have character. Thankfully, my sister ordered two, one for me and one for her. If you love the animal prints this is a unique piece to add to your collection. No everyone will love it, but I sure do! Also, she picked up leopard cashmere tee for a great discount. My advice is to stop by and check the cashmere sections. We are located in Fort Lauderdale.

    1. Falan Folarin, Have to call my favorite guys over there in FLL. From what I understand they had to order the blouse? Did they have these pieces in stock? I will call now to ask. Thanks for posting.

    2. @Falan Folarin, just called the guys in FLL and spoke with Curtis there. He said it’s quite pretty, they haven’t unpacked them yet and they will save that and the dress.

    3. Now I am intrigued by this new print! Looking forward to it appearing online.

    4. @Lynn Yay! I am glad you called our favorite crew. And I love Curtis! My sister had to place an order. We like them loose fitting so we ordered a size up and they didn't have that size onsite. I am excited about the dress because it is a wrap dress. I hope you do you like them! The colors pop and may seem a little busy but the black contrast pulls it together. It is what I like most. I wish I could upload a picture of it here.

    5. @Jan If you like the animal print this may be a winner. I just started mixing and matching my colors and prior I was very monochromatic. So, this is a new experience for me. But I can say that I loved it. As I told @Lynn it may seem busy with the colors but the black contrast pulls it together to create a very interesting and unique print shirt.

    6. @lynn and correction... my sister didn’t order yet, they have to get our size. But so happy Curtis could set aside yours!

    7. @Falan Folarin, so glad to hear that you love it! Looking forward to seeing it and the dress. @Lynn, I hope that it’s a keeper for you too!

    8. @jan, thank you so much. At least we have an image online this morning. I think though this is one I really have to see in person. The image looks interesting and the colors look pretty. Was advised by the great guys in FLL I would like it. They know my tastes so we will see:) Curious as to what other’s opinions are today. Have a great day and stay safe to all!

    9. I viewed this blouse again a 3rd time and I’m going to pass on it. I don’t like the critters. If they had been Unicorns it might have been far prettier.

    10. Lynn, I agree that unicorns would have been more fun. The colors are very nice. I think they look more like rams than goats due to the size width of the horns.

    11. @Lynn it is very unusual but I just love the animal prints. Lol @critters!!! And good point about unicorns.

    12. @pbanos I agree love the color and you are probably right they are rams. And I see I was color blind it’s navy backing not black.

  3. @dana the leafy tiger print PJ are back in size XS and S. They did shrink a couple inches after wash. Now they looked cropped. I still like the cotton.

  4. I received my last item from the 60+20+20 sale, the faux fur collar/cuff denim jacket. It took so long because my first package contained someone else's order for a sweater instead.

I'm usually a S in tops, unless they are very fitted. Glad I ordered M here, the S would definitely been too tight. As it is the shoulders are right width, the sleeves just long enough, and the torso just roomy enough for a mid-weight layer plus a base layer. Since the jacket isn't oversized it will fit under a parka if I want, maybe even under my leather jacket I haven't tried. Sometimes I wear a lighter jacket with layers under and a blanket scarf, that would work with this too.

The navy faux fur is nicely soft, and the denim flexible enough to be comfortable. I'm not crazy about the buttons, wish they were a little darker, but that's a nit. If they were darker I'd probably wish they stood out more. The sleeves look cute folder up to show the fur, but left down they're warm and feel luxe.

I'm not averse to denim + denim, if the colors are either a perfect match or an appealing contrast. This will also work well with my gold/tan or navy cords, and I'm sure I'd wear it with a sweater dress.

For under $35 I am happy with this final sale choice, glad I went with my larger size.

    1. That sounds cute! There were several denim jackets I liked and after many years I just got TWO from Everlane last year so it’s hard to pull the trigger on another.

    2. Very glad your final sale score was a win! I like the idea of a blanket scarf over it, adding another texture. Anything blanket sounds good to me...can it be bright in the mornings again?

    3. Thanks for the encouragement. I also have a couple denim jackets, which was why I scolded myself for this one...

I've been running at 6:30 every weekday morning since the lockdown, so I know exactly how wet and gloomy the last two weeks have been! The blanket I'm wishing for at that time is the one on my bed.

    4. @pbanos, your choice sounds really cute. Wear everything in good health! I like denim jackets an old jcrew that I never wear, another French one I never wear but purchased a men's RL one with the American Flag on it which I really like. I have an old RL Bear sweater which I wear under it and decided I'm going to purchase the denim jacket with the bear on back. Add some cheer. I'm going to give the other ones away. I love little bears:)

    5. Those bear jackets are charming, though my husband would tease me unmercifully! The flag one must be great.

    6. @pbanos, Winnie the Poo was always one of my favorite childhood stories thus the fascination with the bear.

  5. I like the color block cashmere wrap in navy. Guess who this is for:) Hint, not me.
