This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

    1. A trench coat you shouldn't get wet... no thanks.

    2. I’m thinking of it more like a warm weather layering piece than an overcoat. Similar to a denim trench.

    3. I am thinking this might be the jacket that is pictured with the natural colored montauk tote.

    4. Checking. There was also a red jacket and pant with white stitching shown with one of the totes

  2. Oops, hoping quality is better.

  4. Stopped by my local store for returns. Extra 60% off sale items (final sale) and a whole section of redline $19.99 and under items. Saw t-shirts and cotton tanks as low as $1.99. Picked up a chateau puffer for only $55!

    1. I went to Georgetown yesterday. Pretty full sale section and all final sale. I was wondering what happened to the 60% off... even the associate commented about the 60% to 50% change! Found the cashmere joggers and a T-shirt. Quite a few pieces that I had not seen before but nothing that I needed even at 50% off (or even 60% off today). I think that I am done for the winter season. I also checked out Anthro's last day of 50% off final sale, while I was on that side of DC. Nice selection and I left with a few definite "me love" pieces, even at final sale!

  5. Ordered the Liberty Print Dress in June's Meadow and it is lovely. I ordered a P as it is long and I am 5'3 which was the right call. Very nice. Covered buttons, partially lined. A very good buy in a dress at 30% off given the prices I am seeing. Would consider it if you need a fun dress.

  7. So I interacted with seller... size wise... she responded.. I made an offer and after that I get a sign .... can’t buy, make offers or send messages?

    1. Maybe someone else made an offer. Otherwise contact Poshmark support, maybe she closed her account? What’s the name? I’ll look into it.

  8. I’m surprised I like more than I expected. The slingbacks in Margaret Annie floral are so cute. I don’t always love florals but I like the vibe of this print. There are two red jackets, the barn jacket with the margaret Annie print under the collar and the one with the white buttons and stitching that I’ll have to look into. I am not sure about the second one, it’s a wool blend yet the coordinating pants are poly, and the color may be more orange than I like, but the barn jacket is a true red.
Overall there’s something fresh about the new arrivals, or it could be that it is actually springy feeling. I don’t need much but I can see adding some of these pieces to my closet.
Still waiting for sale prices but quite a few items have potential.

    1. Its prob because its Chris Benz first collection.

    2. I like those shoes too - also the loafers. And the topstitched jacket!

    3. I'm seeing a lot to like, too. Was wondering if this rollout was designed by Chris Benz, so thank you to Ina for letting us know. The Margaret Annie slingbacks are absolutely adorable as well as the loafers. I am definitely buying the perfect fit shirt in this print. The ruffled top would look hideous on me - it's a lot of ruffle. The camo flowers shirt looks interesting but will have to see in person. There is a cotton cardigan with large buttons that might work but length is listed at 21" so probably too short for me. Also want to try the vintage straight khakis and some of the new jeans. Really pleased with this rollout and hope it is a sign of better things coming from J Crew.

    4. Thanks @Anne for directing me back to this thread and the new arrivals convo. I see a bit to like - buying the chartreuse pleated midi because that will fill in a hole in my closet and the length is longer. I like the ruffle top but think I might go for the shirtdress in the print. Last summer I reached for lots of dresses over and over again. The length is good in the tall and it could be a real workhorse for me. I love all the patterned slides but those will wait. Oh, the Traverse City tee is a must for this Michigan girl, though I’ve never been. I’m going in April though for a conference and I’m sure this tee will make its way into my suitcase. I like a lot of the eyelet tops but I want to go through my closet to see what holes I have for spring/summer before buying. Also like the boyfriend sweater blazer but sorry it’s a weekend only piece, which isn’t all bad but I have to think that through.

Overall, a very good rollout for Benz’ debut!

    5. I seem to be the lone dissenting voice but I don't really see a lot to get excited about. There very few things that look promising and there is not as much color as I was expecting. Maybe it'll make a difference to see these items in person. I really hope that is the case!

    6. The Margaret Annie slingbacks are lovely, one of the first things in the rollout to catch my eye. I also like Margaret Annie Academy loafers. I love the tone-on-tone print of the Sheath dress in Colorful Gingham and also the fact that it’s not a mini dress. I love the Long Sleeve button up shirt in embroidered eyelet. I liked the bit hits of colour in this rollout, the Brilliant Sunset colour is similar to bright cerise (which I love), and the yellows and kiwi. All that being said, I won’t be purchasing anything unless I make a trip to the US.

    7. I placed an order of mostly swim/resort, PJs and accessories. I'm trying the Ratti Bahama print V-neck beach coverup and ruched bandeau swimsuit, the
Scalloped tiered dress in textured gingham (I'm trying both green and black), a couple of pairs of PJ pants, and the Wide-brim bucket hat in colorblock. I'll probably return most of it, but it seems like everything I want to try is not in the store so I have to order it if I want to see it.

  9. Anyone ever see the Cameron or Martie pants (both in bi-stretch cotton) in the ivory color? How sheer are they?
