  1. WHERE IS MY CITY CAT TEE? (Said in "Where are my dragons?" Daenerys voice with all the righteous anger of a crazy cat lady thwarted.) I ordered the darn thing on pre-sale more than a month ago, but they put it online and sold it out without honoring the pre-sale orders. And I passed up the chance to buy it in the store because I'd pre-ordered it. Still waiting to see if they'll at least give me the courtesy of a "We're sorry" message. Don't they know that we crazy cat ladies are um, crazy?

    1. Wow, that’s a big mistake on their part. I hope that you get your tee soon, that’s disappointing!

    2. Update: after I whined on the IG page I got a ship notice. We'll see.

    3. I hope you receive it and love it!

  2. when did Canadian shipping go up to $14?
it takes 9/10 business days. Canada has not been given a free ship day for a very long time...guess we may never see it again.

    1. Yikes. I noticed the increase to $14 shiping this morning.

I used to keep notes on when they did free shipping because they seemed to have certain days each year when free shipping was offered (e.g. Groundhog Day, Cyber Monday). My notes may not be accurate but I was curious when the last free shipping offer was available to Canadians - my note say March 5 2018! It has been a very long time and I guess we will never see it again.

I know that shipping across the border must be expensive. $14 is not great, but when I'm getting items on deep discount, I can live wiht it.

    2. Thank you for mentioning, I didn’t realize it. With the higher prices that recently came in its frustrating. Many items are 45% higher than US.
The last free shipping I’m quite sure was before the rewards program started which Canada is left out of. So Toronto modern I think your date is correct.

    3. Shipping to Canada is painfully slow. The last two orders placed I actually picked the $25 UPS option. Pricey but arrived in under four days.

    5. I hate to shock everyone, but the UPS shipping now costs $44!

Yes, it's Canadian (not real money), but still shocking none the less. If regular shipping is $14 and expedited were $25, I think I'd consider paying up, but $44??? I know from couriering packages that I'd have to pay about $50 to courier an express package from Canada to the US but that's what I would pay as an occasional customer. I would have thought a business could do better. But maybe not.

    6. I can’t recall the last free shipping day for Canadians, I feel like it was fall 2018, maybe as late as Black Friday. The new $14 rate is just another reason for me to shop elsewhere. I agree with Toronto modern, I’m okay paying it if I’m ordering multiple deeply discounted items. But $14 is a huge deterrent to ordering a single item, or even a few lower-priced items.

    7. $44 that’s insane! Very frustrating. I did place an order with the 50% off sale but otherwise I think I’ll be sitting out for a while.

    9. I had to edit this post with more appropriate language, but I am seriously over this company and their crap.

I can spend $14 for shipping that will take about two full weeks or more or $44 and it's here in three or four days. Then factor in the odds of a return or exchange with their sizing issues or poor quality. Easy answer; off to retailers who truly want my business. Why doesn't JCrew just tell us the truth, they don't want to deal with Canadians or sell to us.

I'm out, enough of their BS, crap customer service compared to before, questionable sizing and fabrics and over inflated prices.

Looks like I be known as the former jcrew guy in Canada moving forward. If you need me I'll be browsing at Polo, or Club Monaco, Todd Snyder or BR.

    10. as a fellow Canadian...I agree with you. placed a GAP/BR order this weekend. no final sale . 50% off plus an add. 10%.
      over $50 free shipping /returns.
J Crew is gouging Canadians..we have no rewards programs,no free shipping days /over charging -exchange rate and closing our stores. yup...they don;t want us anymore.

    11. Follow up to the gouging on shipping. Factory charges $9.95 US for UPS standard (4-7 business days) and $25 US for express (3 business days). So factory is far better on shipping and cheaper. WTF?

    12. To add more bad news, return shipping is now $30. I’m so annoyed, that’s crazy.

    13. They really want to kill all business in Canada and this will certainly help make it happen.

    14. They’ve completely lost me with the shipping/returns price hike. former jcrew guy in canada, you’re not alone, I guess I’ll be shopselsewheregrrrl!

  3. The rewards.
I had $15 sitting there the other day and they just disappeared. So I don't know if I was supposed to have them or there was a mistake. But if I count up my points, it does look like I should have some rewards available.

    1. The same thing happened to me - I had $25 in rewards & the next day $5 I emailed CS but so far no response. The worst part is I placed an order & was asked if I wanted to use rewards & I declined
I’d love to know if you get your issue resolved.

    2. i just did a chat... this is what they said:

There was a system issue where a few people did lose some rewards - we're working on correcting this still, and I'm adding your profile to the list to have them added back.

    3. I had $125 and it went to $10! But I think it’s because I placed an order and returned a lot of it. But still...

    4. I had $25, and it just went away. I called yesterday and just received a call back. I was told there was a "glitch" and those rewards were mistakenly given to me so they took them back. The did the "research" with "leadership" to confirm. This is the most insane thing I have ever heard of quite frankly. I'm not aware of any company that would just take a benefit away from a customer without communicating that to them first, what a terrible business practice. They offered me a $5 gift card for my inconvenience and I refused. It's not even about the $25, it's just how terribly they handled it. I guess moral of the story is to spend all of your rewards as soon as their posted to your account because who knows when J.Crew will decide to take them away.

    5. Also, they're not their, sorry. My grammar takes a hit when I'm mad, lol.

    6. Ha, this weekend I noticed my rewards balance had gone from $20 to $195 (!!!) overnight, without me placing any additional orders to accrue new points. I knew it had to be a glitch of some kind, but I have to admit, I was pretty tempted to place a $200 order anyway, just to see what would happen. (By the time new arrivals were loading on Monday night, of course, my balance was inexplicably back down to $15, oh well.)

    7. I finally received a reply from CS - here’s the response

So sorry for the confusion. There was actually a technical issue that caused accounts to display an inaccurate amount of rewards. We have since adjusted to the correct amount. While I’m unable to honor the $25, I am happy to honor an additional $5 off on your next order.

    8. This happened to me on Monday night.... had $100 all of the sudden so I used them ASAP. My order shipped and arrived today. But I had rewards missing before so felt they owed this to me. Lol

  4. Received the pink Cameron pant in houndstooth. So cute but I returned it Here’s my review:

    Sizing is sooooo off
The pants are well made and yet I don’t recommend them. I ordered a size up as I always do for high rise pants. Tried them on and almost couldn’t button the waist! Major muffin top. Hip width also too small though less so, but showed every lump and bump. Not sure if two sizes up would work, legs might be too wide. Returning them. I’m a loyal customer but not being able to rely on sizing is really annoying
