  1. So frustrated by pricing games this week. The pull on linen skirt in stripe but classic size is 40% off but not the tall. Ugh Jcrew!!!

    1. Call and complain if you have a VPS. If you don't have one find one. I can suggest someone who has been with the company for more than 10 years. Please note, there are not many VPS's left as the company has downsized in this area. Moved the majority of them over to customer service. Any pricing issues, complaints etc. COMPLAIN and keep complaining. You will eventually make headway on this I promise. Previously had similar experiences and it worked out.

  2. Have you tried the Factory version. Its more a-line than pencil, and has a great length. I usually buy Tall. Make sure you size down in this skirt. I am usually a S/M and got the XS in this skirt.

    1. I was able to get a PA via email on 2 items I bought on promo last week that were now on sale today. I don’t know if that helps at all!

    2. I got a PA this morning over chat. They actually added it up wrong so I corrected them and they gave me an additional refund

    3. was the PA period 10 business days at one time? it’s now 7 calendar days.

    4. For the time I recall it's been 7 days from delivery or ship date

    6. I called CS this evening and received PA's for several orders; I was able to stack THESKIMM promo with educator's discount. This results in an extra 50% off sale items if you buy $100 and use JCSM18 too.

    7. 1,000 thank-yous, Mygoddy! I made three different pop-back purchases over the past day and 1/2, and during a Friday afternoon lull here at work, I decided browse through this Aficionada site, where I had the good fortune to stumble across your promo codes. Opened the chat box to J.Crew CS, and the rep was happy to combine my three orders into one, and adjusted my $210 total purchase into $140! I'm not sure where you found THESKIMM and JCSM18, but you saved us $70.

    8. @Every Mann, happy to help. I received the JCSM18 code in a Hello Summer insert and THESKIMM was posted by another JCA. This community is very helpful to each other.

  4. the inconsistencies of some customers getting price ajustments and others not...why should it matter what CS you get? I guess I get the cranky ones. I have been told a 'firm NO " for any pa's for the past mth or two. Do I have some kind of "red flag' on the order history. I am not a bad customer.... I promise!

    1. It should not matter at all and I do not believe that you have been red flagged. With the lack of quality and design with their merchandise which I believe is downright ugly and tacky apart from perhaps 5 or 6 items, I have returned a ton of items. It's your right as a consumer to complain. Complain directly to CS or a VPS. Explain why. They make notations. Feedback. In addition to this, the company has hired quite a few new employees that are inexperienced to say the least.(I spoke with a former pizza delivery guy, I kid you not) This is by no means a condescending statement, simply fact. Some are very helpful, some simply lack training. As far as their overall pricing including discounts, they use algorithms to drive traffic on their website. Here is another vent while I'm at it. Educator discounts. When I started shopping years ago I complained to my vps. I explained I have a PhD from MIT, I do not teach full time, but I do mentor women in the Aerospace Industry and could I have a discount. She gave it to me. I continue to receive this. Bottom line is, you are entitled to discounts and price adjustments period. Whether you spend $50.00 or $5,000.00 and you return items, keep them or whatever, ask for price adjustments and complain. Keep a log of everything and make sure you receive an adjustment which has been properly calculated. They tend to make mistakes. Good luck.

    2. thanks for the reply. I do wish i qualified for additional discounts..but don't. i just watch the site and always call in when prices change. i have been given pa's in the past. it stopped as i said a few mths ago.

  5. The price fluctuations are just goofy. Items that were 50% off and more yesterday are now up again (white jeans, star t-shirt, seersucker jacket). Note to self - if it isn't final sale, buy it when you see it. The price may change the next day!

  6. Yikes! I want to assume best intentions, but “you are entitled to discounts and price adjustments” screams, well, entitlement. The educator discount cannot (or typically doesn’t) apply to whole store promotions or sale merchandise anyhow. I think the point of the educator discount is to throw a bone at teachers for their work and incentivize them to go there instead of Loft and other places that have a similar discounts. My legitimate question is, if J Crew offered a military discount, would you/anyone feel inclined to ask for that discount too?

I commend your advocacy and your willingness to seek additional discounts - I, too, try to stack deals when I can and I hate paying full price! I think with all things in life, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but I would politely suggest that “expecting” and “deserving” are a lot different than hoping someone does something they don’t *have* to based on a given policy.
