  1. really tired of these pricing games. The liberty lady jacket was 20% off full price on Friday ($158.40), 30% off sale price yesterday ($124.60), and now 40% off sale price today ($106.80)... Customer service will be getting my price adjustment requests today :)

    1. Wow, I'm surprised that the Lady jacket with Liberty® trim went to sale so quickly. I hope the Long spaghetti-strap dress in gingham goes to sale very soon too!

    2. I'm kind of mad that I bought this jacket at 30% off shortly after release because I thought it would sell out. I feel like I wasted my rewards because it is cheaper now than what I paid net with my rewards. Sad trombone!

    3. That's how I felt about the Oxford Check coat and a few other items I bought this holiday/winter. Then I think, I can't win them all. ;) mostly I wait until sale items are 40% off sale, but sometimes I don't. This week I'm annoyed at a few items I didn't grab at 50-60% off sale. Grrrr.

    4. Good point SuzHas. I probably did get a better deal on the Oxford check coat that I bought late in the season. At least you got to wear and enjoy your coat while mine still has the tags on it.

    5. Yes, I wore it twice. Lol. (But then again, I don't get "dressed" everyday and I knew it would be more of an occasion coat for me.)

  2. I've learned to play along with the pricing games, so I called CS for PAs. They're super helpful, but definitely need training on percents. Getting $ back is worth it. Posted IG pics of April Style guide (peterst1).

    1. Agreed! They also need training to recalculate sales tax on adjusted prices (can be substantial when it's basically 10%).

    2. Thanks for the style guide pics!!

  3. I ordered a few things and got a price adjustment for yesterday's purchases - the mint/navy bow Tippi, striped favorite shirt, double pleated midi skirt in shadowbox and the navy easy pants.

Ohh and that reminds me that I should get last week's order adjusted - I also have the pink Rhodes pants, dark grey paper bag waist pants and full length wool flannel tie waist pants on their way. But...boo to pricing games indeed!

  4. I am happy I held out until there was a promo that brought the items in my cart down to prices I was willing to pay. And surprise!, the items were all still available. I have done the price adjustment game but it gets time consuming. I picked up the mint/navy bow tippi, fleece lined leggings, de feo long sleeve tee on promo today, sleeveless ruffle ratti fruity floral silk top and the mini rider bag in red (FS but I know I will use this for an upcoming event). This is the first order I have placed in several weeks and had a gift card to cover over half the cost so I don't feel too bad about it and they are not FS so I have the option to return. Win win!

    1. @Unknown, I'm surprised as well, since several JCAs were told last week that there would no longer be extra percentage off sale and other things along those lines. It's all so ridiculous, who can keep up anymore! Sigh.

  6. I should know this, but if my order is in "released" status, what does that mean? Do you think it's going to ship? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, I believe that is the status when they've "approved" the order and are packaging it up for shipment.

      Delete
    2. I'm pretty sure that "released" just means that the payment has been approved (or released) by your financial institution. Sadly, it still may not ship :(

    3. @Lauren, I could be totally wrong! I thought that's how they explained it to me once but I may absolutely be mistaken. I hope it ships for your @cate !

    4. i've had orders cancelled after having been "released," so i think "released" just means your credit card worked.

      Delete
    5. Thanks everyone. Sure enough, they canceled an item in my order :(

    6. Oh no! I'm so sorry, Cate 😞

    7. Thanks Mrs. Garzelloni! I ordered the item from eBay instead.

  7. It would be super awesome if the website would actually work. 🙄 It's been sluggish for days. #endrant

    1. Omg, I thought something was wrong with my phone but the website has been awful for several days now! Though it seems to work fine on my iPad? Haven't tried the laptop yet...

    2. I get constant errors using the site from my phone. I can generally browse categories okay, but then when I click on an item, I get an "oops, something went wrong, please try again" message. It happens all the time, and often multiple times in a row, so I often just give up. I never have the same issue with other websites, just JCrew.

    3. Not that I'm happy it's not working for you guys, but I seriously was going crazy thinking it was just me!

    1. I agree!! So irritating! I was going to shop the sale section, but I can't even scroll through the first page. Grr!

  9. Hello, first time posting here.
I am not a regular Jcrew customer, I prefer to wait till a 40% and see what's available. But I have been looking at the Maddie tall size for a while now, and can't really see paying the full price. So, I'm pretty glad for the 40%, my size still available, and trying the green color tall maddie for the first time, since I never see tall sizes in the store before. I also order 2 teddie pants to try out for size. Not sure how the cropped length would look on me.

    1. Welcome! You're not alone in being a sale shopper 😄. Hope the pants work for you.

    2. I hope the pants work out for you! The teddies didn't work on me but I've always wanted to try the maddie pants. It's great to get sale items that aren't final sale. :)

    3. Thank you to both of you. I am hoping that they fit. I will find out next week. I just got shipping notification from them :)
