Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  2. Petite Gathered Popover in end-on-end cotton - I loved this shirt when I first saw it modeled by Tamu McPherson at J.Crew's spring 17' NYFW. I almost forgot about it till I realize that the shirt was released already! For ref. I'm 36B, and the P2 still has plenty of room. The sleeves are bracelet length, and very billowy. I found the length of the body to be a tad short, even for my short-waisted body. It falls the same length on me as on the model online. I'm hoping my B&M carries it so I can try a 0.

Petite garment-dyed safari shirt jacket - Got this in PXS Pine. The pleats at the back give it room. I thought it could pass as a jacket, maybe to wear on those cool spring nights, but I guess not. Description says its a shirt, but not thick shirt, not the heavy duty chino thick fabric. If that makes sense...I still like it.

Merci Beaucoup Tee - Another love! I'm liking the rusty color. Got an XS and S. Tried the S first, and prefer the fit. I like it slouchy.

    1. That jacket is really cute; I tried the teak & liked it too. Agree with you on Merci Beaucoup tee. It's really nice.

    2. I love that jacket in the pine color too! I don't see why you can't wear it as a jacket, over a tee as shown. That cropped silhouette isn't the best for me but it looks like a really versatile piece.

  4. I will be stopping in tomorrow to make some returns. My store is doing a DIY paint splatter event and while I think others look cute in the look, it's just not for me!

The navy zip front dress is going back as well as the Ratti monkey pants which were pretty but I didn't like that they were a flimsier silk material than the usual structured silk Collection pants. Also decided against the lace up bonded sweater. It's almost April...time to start focusing on warmer weather clothes! Happy weekend JCAs!

  5. Have a sandal return since I ordered 2 sizes. PSA: If anyone is interested in Collection Thomas Mason Grosgrain Bib Shirt, it's on sale for $56 with promo and available in almost a complete size run. This is a nice shirt; if you like the brand and have wanted to try, this could be a good choice.

    1. Why is the Thomas Mason all of a sudden available in all sizes? Could've gotten it for that sale price.

    2. @JSR I have no idea; J Crew has the strangest inventory management. That's why I rarely believe anything is really sold out. Collection striped sequin skirt was sold out & then reappeared in all sizes & now it's 65% off with educator discount. Even stranger is the fact that Net A Porter still has both items in stock (very limited sizing on skirt), but they're still full price while on super sale at J Crew.

  7. I got an email that there's a digital style guide now (not sure if this pertains to Canada as we haven't gotten paper style guides since the holiday one). Haven't looked at it yet. But the cover says spring 2017 rather than March or April.

  8. Made most of my returns late yesterday afternoon. Store was basically empty. Sale was 30% off, like the rest of the store. Sale section was same old, same old. Racks jam packed.
I'm not really interested in much. I do love the Heels on Fire tee, but I have two concerns...everyone is wearing it and will the red dye run when it's washed. I know it says hand wash. If I get it on sale I'll go for it, although at 30 % off the price is fine.

    1. I like the HoF tee too but when I tried it on the color and the embroidery sort of made it feel like a baseball tee to me? So I returned it. And yes it may turn up everywhere.

      Delete
    2. It reminds me of a baseball tee, because of the script. I don't mind that. Awhile back I got a football style tee with tonal ivory embroidery, the number 25. I love it because it's my daughter's number and it's not so over the top. But because it's ivory stitching on the ivory vintage cotton, I don't have to worry about the dye running.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, nothing wrong with a baseball tee, it just wasn't the vibe I was going for. The quality of the embroidery was very nice.

    4. I really like the heels on fire tee too but I'd likely only wear it with jeans and I have so many tees. I didn't totally understand the saying but Ina's IG explained it. :)
@SuzHas, I have that football tee, thank you for reminding me of it! I really like that one.

    6. Ha, I assumed it was a reference to the Dylan song "This Wheel's on Fire," a cover of which is the theme song for AbFab. (And yes, I bought the tee.)

    7. @Hexicon, that's what I thought.

  9. One thing about the shipping at J Crew - I wasn't sure if anyone else noticed this or if it is just for my particular location. If you order at least $150 worth of items, it automatically goes to the free shipping box. But in the box above, it gives you the choice to choose standard shipping for just $3. If you order at the beginning of the week, it says your package will get there in 3 days. I have done this 3 times now and I received my package by UPS in 2-3 days each time. All items shipped from the warehouse, and NO Sure Post. (It only seems to work if you have at least the $150. But for $3 more, and no Sure Post...)

    1. Karend, it's funny that you posted this because I was going to soon. I noticed this too a few weeks ago and so far all of the purchases I have made have come from the warehouse AND all in one package (unheard of). The $3 is worth it to me as that's less than a coffe from Starbucks.

    3. Thanks so much for the tip re shipping. I just tried it out on my order this morning and will post when my shipment arrives. Cannot stand it when I order 8 items and they ship in 8 separate packages.

  10. Wasn't planning to go but then found myself needing to hit the mall to try something at Eddie Bauer, so swung into JCrew as well. 20% off purchase, NOT including sale, give me a break. Do they really expect me to buy the Pink Houndstooth skirt for $90 today, when it was nearly half that at Christmas? I was in and out in about 2 minutes. Glanced at new arrivals: Berry Tippi print is very vidid and cute but not for me, I liked the Bandana Print vintage T-shirt (but it wasn't special enough to make me want to add it to the small mountain of t-shirts I already own), embroidery on Heels on Fire t-shirt was very nice.

  11. I went to my store at lunch to try on a few items including:

Ruffle top in clip dot (Item G3710): the white is rather sheer, as reviews indicate. The black is not, however. It's a very pretty, and as for fit, I think I need to try the Petite size (I'm a 36B and often take a Size 0 in Regular and 2P in Petite - can size down if the fit is billowy.) The O in this top fit snug at the chest & armpits, so I would need a 2P (the 2 in Regular left too much fabric at the torso, tho fit was comfortable everywhere else. I need this top like I need a hole in my head (so much summer wear, such a short season here in NYC), but I might grab this in yellow. (Eventually....there's a full size run, and tho the sale price is nice, I honestly don't have any place to wear sleeveless for at least another six weeks or more.)

Also tried the Eyelet sweater in summerweight cotton
Item G1290. It's too short (& I'm short!!) Also the design is disappointing -- the bib seems too long, so that it almost hits your navel and then there's two inches of fabric, and that's it. Too bad b/c the fabric is light (though a bit of a rough texture.)

Pencil skirt in polka dot textured tweed (Item G3727) This is a really nice piece, but I would need the Petite since I'm 4'11". The tweed fabric is nice, the dots *might* be embroidered (or perhaps that was the texture) and I'm a fan of pockets. This one is up for consideration.

That's all for now. Happy weekend, JCAs!

    1. Hi TM93, thank you for the reviews! I was interested in the white clip dot tank but hearing it's sheer saves me a return. :) plus I also don't need another shirt like this. :) the yellow looks really pretty for summer!

    2. I thought the same thing about the eyelet sweater in summerweight. I was so excited to try this on, but it was too short and the bib covered too much of the sweater.

  12. Question re: MARTIE pants. Ordered my first pair in black bi-stretch wool. I find the top of the pants, with the side zip, fits very similar to the full length pant in bi-stretch wool. My same size 0 fits well. My question is re: stretching out and thighs. Lately pants are always tight on my thighs. Sizing up doesn't help because then they're too loose on the crotch/hips. does the bi stretch wool loosen up with wear? (I've only worn my full length bistretch wool pants twice for only a few hours so they haven't loosened up at all. Trying to decide if these are worth adding to my collection of black pants.

    1. the cotton marties and wool marties have been quite different ...at least mine have. the wool ones leg is not near as tapered as the cotton ones.

      Delete
    2. I ordered the Martie pant in cotton. I hope it fits me. The wool ones I've tried and was unsuccessful with the waist and sizing up will not fit everywhere else. I get tired of always wearing jeans and want polished cotton pants as an option.

      Delete
    3. @JSR - I have the cotton Marties. I regret sizing up in them as they bag out throughout the day. If your size feels a little tight at first, keep in mind it might stretch a bit to be more comfortable.

      Delete
    4. I bought navy and went back for black. Perfect for my business casual office. I found them true to size. Have been dry cleaning them which is only downside - but would do have been dry cleaning wool pants if not these.

    5. Thank you for that tip, Mrs. Garzelloni!

    6. Laura Matey, do you find the wool ones stretch at all?

      Delete
    7. I have a few pairs of the wool Marties and by the end of the day they have stretched out a bit. If they fit in your waist and behind, I would say you'll find the thighs will ease up during the day. HTH!

    8. Yes. Thank you! That's exactly what I was hoping.

    9. Suz Has - I only have the cotton marties. I have wool campbells in both full length and Capri length and those stretch a bit, if that helps. Realize I should have noted cotton in my original post! Btw I enjoy your instagram posts!

  13. No HAPPYSPRING at JCrew in Canada. I saw 30% off sale and also a 50% off section on the USA website this morning. Canada only warrants HISPRING and 20% off (including sale items).
B&M - 20% off all purchases (including sale section) was the only thing on offer in a Vancouver Store (Park Royal). Disappointing, JCrew choosing to give their Canadian customers an inferior sale section promotion, even though in store we are paying all the taxes. (I think duties was one excuse offered for different website promos for Canada vs USA).
Sale section at Park Royal store full, lingering stock. Rack of Pixies, some jeans (Billie's, Matchsticks) looked like full size runs of striped Jackies and striped bow sweaters. Oxford sleeveless ruffle tops, off the shoulder stripes in navy and yellow colourways. Many orange fringe fabric dresses, few wintress puffers XS. Teddies, Sadie flats, old stock tee shirts, tanks,a few city series and grey Good life logo tees, some piped pajama oxford shirts and chambray shirts and various striped long sleeves tees that didn't sell at 25.99 less 30 or 40% so aren't really likely to shift now at 20% off. Guess minimal corporate focus on the inventory turnover metric! - sadly left with nothing today.
Its too bad - I am a fan and want them to survive

  14. I did a quick drop in on Tuesday to make some returns at the Millenia store in Orlando. Nothing that was a must have for me but seeing the Tortoise and blush necklace in person has firmly placed it on my wishlist. I don't think it's worth the current asking price but I wouldn't be adverse to picking it up at 50% off original price. Quite randomly, there was an emerald Lulu Frost shoe clip in the sale section. Those came out two or three years ago if I'm remembering correctly. I have and use them quite often to gussy up otherwise basic shoes.

    1. i'm in the middle of NYC and the thing refuses my zip code. Granted, it and a few neighboring zip codes are "new," having been created in 2007, and it did take a while for some web sites to catch up (pauses to recall unpleasant conversation with Sears re unwillingness to meet truck in front of building in accepted zip code), but since most of the time JC finds my building for deliveries and bills, and an occasional catalog, one would think...

      Delete
    2. Wellfedfred, does the zip code box automatically populate for you? When I used the find in store option, the box was already filled in with a nearby zip. It would not accept my actual zip code when I tried to change it. The zip was close enough to mine that it brought up all of the nearby stores. I'm excited that J Crew finally has this option!

      Delete
    3. it populated with addresses from all across the US wherever there might be a street address that begins with the 5 numbers of my zip code - i.e., 1006583 elm street, etcetc

i'm sure this minor glitch will be worked out. not the first time an improvement has needed a little more work to be ready for prime time.

    2. Ha, Taylor, always happy to be an enabler. I said I wasn't going to buy anything today but totally caved as well - windowpane Marties, the dark wide leg Rayner jeans (may be a total mistake but we'll see) and the emerald poppy necklace.

      Delete
    3. I picked up the poppy necklace in the copper color. $36 is the right price for me for costume jewelry. It's like 75% off the original price and I kind of feel bad for JC but I just won't spend $128 on a necklace I am going to wear maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Also thanks for the heads up on the new cuts, I placed an order late last night as soon as the new promo came, and by this morning the buckle dress had been marked down further so I emailed for a PA.

    4. I fell off the only thoughtful purchases allowed plan big time this morning. Ordered a bunch of things I definitely don't need. I do anticipate returning some of it though. Reordered windowpane Marties in a smaller size, the lightweight bow sweater, silk pleated ruffle top, ruffle pants in khaki and chambray, silk foulard pants, liberty Campbell blazer and denim ankle wrap shoes. Wow! Typing that out really makes me feel like I fell off the wagon. I did upgrade from free to $3 shipping and it says delivery by Thursday which is worth it to me as I want to make a return run this weekend. I am 45 minutes away from a store so I only stop in every 4-6 weeks. I will post reviews once received.

    5. I fell off big time too, but I also plan on returning a few things. Ordered the NBxJC perfect tank top in stripe and the ruffle waist linen pants in leopard to try for size. Also got the NB 696 sneakers ($36 after promo!!), perfect shirt with eyelet trim, side-slit sweater w/ striped ties, windowpane Marties, and a girl's cashmere cardigan in the largest size avail. I ordered everything one size bigger than I usually take, and the tall version of everything just in case (even though I'm petite). Can never tell with JC sizing.

      Delete
    6. ^^Kinda hilarious that we have petite ladies buying the tall versions of everything. Are you listening J.Crew? Enough with the too short dresses, skirts, and cropped pants!

      Delete
    7. Wish they were paying attention, Cass. I was tempted by the colored cropped
high rise denim, but they are sold out in tall sizes (almost a full size run left in regular length).

    8. I ordered the Scoopback ballet tee in stripe and the Saturday pant hoping that it's like the old Saturday pants which I have and constantly use. I also reordered the Striped Sailor pants. If the price goes down again on those, I'll get a PA.

For anyone that likes embroidery and eyelet pieces, Gap has some lovely new arrivals, with 50% off-instore for F&F, and 40% everything (including sale!) online, PLUS a bonus of another 10% off this morning! AND free shipping on all orders.

    3. I'm jealous to hear about everyone's great deals today! There were a few things I would have ordered if CDNs got 40% off too, but I'm guessing a lot of sale items will sell out with the 40% off and I'll be shut out if/when they extend the offer to the Great Whit North. In the meantime I ordered 3 spring/summer tops from Gap (hurray for tall sizes!), couldn't resist at 40% off, I love embroidered denim.

      Delete
    4. Sorry shopgrrrl, it sucks that they aren't extending this to Canadians. Just curious, if you find JC on eBay can you still get a good deal or do they tack on a lot of fees etc through the Global Shipping Program? Anyway I'm sure the website will have lots more promos to come.

      Delete
    5. I stopped buying clothes via eBay after the GSP was introduced. It ends up being much more expensive as items coming from a private shipper via Canada Post were rarely (in my experience) assessed duty or even taxes, whereas the GSP requires you to prepay them as I understand it. I know it's a drag to have a package show up at your door with a duty/tax bill owing, but for items under $50, it's unlikely to happen (even though our postal import limit is a measly $20). Others may have different experiences, but I used to buy regularly from eBay and only had taxes/duty assessed once, and that was because the shipper put the value at $90 for some reason (I had paid $20).

  22. I emailed this morning for a PA on a bunch of items I ordered last week. Took advantage of the 40% to order the star toothpicks, the black/crimson liberty florals, and a pair of jeans I ordered two weeks ago that are now reduced further. (Haven't been worn).
I never wear white jeans but I love, love, love stars so I hope they work. Reviews said they run big but I ordered my regular size because I hate when toothpicks are too tight. (Then again, I hate when they're too loose, so we shall see...).
I think I saw the liberty floral quite awhile ago in the sale section but didn't get it. Not sure the size will work since reviews said it runs really small. I certaInly don't need it but I've been feeling the need for a little more color and for me a black based floral is a good way to add a little color.

  26. Am I the only one in America that didn't know that the in-store 40% promo is final sale? I would have ordered online if that was the case. JC better be glad that I got that necklace for a "grand spanking" extra great sale price otherwise I would have been extra hot and declaring a strike!! Usually, there are 50 signs yelling final sale and most SA reiterate at the register.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Does it say so on your receipt? Last time I asked to price match online and they told me my purchase would be final sale, but nothing on my receipt indicated that. (I kept the purchase but I'd double check, and if it's something you need to return it can't hurt to ask.)

      Delete
    2. In-store items marked down and ending in .99 (with or without an extra percentage off) are _always_ Final Sale. The SA may or may not mention it, and your receipt may or may not say it. Sometimes the SAs make a big deal and use a red stamp on all the FS items.

      Delete
    3. @Rashawnda I purchased the cropped lady jacket last month, and I had no indication it was Final Sale. I tried it on with a toddler present, and bought it because it was the only one in my size. I decided I wanted it in petite only to see Final Sale on the receipt. That was very disappointing. If there isn't a sign declaring that, I think the associates should have to tell us.

    5. Thanks everyone! I did not notice the final sale until I saw the receipt in my email. I usually see the final sale signs posted or I asked at the register(don't play with my money!). Nothing from the SA and no store signs in the sale section. I missed the earrings (give me a shout if anyone see them in a store...thanks!!) but I love the water lily necklace so I had no plans to return it. I was just caught off guard when I saw the receipt.

  27. Okay this is severely OT but this just doesn't sit right with me. The House just voted to make all our private data up for sale. Crazy. Fair is fair though. I'd love to see what some of these #*% are hiding. This is one GoFundMe that I'm definitely backing; shownBuy Congress Personal Data.

  28. Another unimpressive promotion this morning. This morning it's 30% off selected tops only on the website (at least in Canada). After the disappointing Canadian 20% off purchase promotion (compared to better discount for US shoppers), they continue to give me reasons not to shop and help me with my "buy more thoughtfully" efforts. A mixed blessing, I guess.

    1. Yes, I'm definitely feeling like CDNs are 2nd class citizens with JCrew these days. I won't be placing an order.

  29. Toronto Modern if you look at the US site they have 40% off sale and free shipping today. Canadians get nothing except the 30 off selected tops. They keep doing this they will lose all their Canadian online business. Maybe that's what they want?? Ann Taylor does this. They offer different promos for Canadian customers online. I've stopped shopping with AT because of that. JC is next!

    3. I am hoping this is a error. no % off sale while US site has 40%???? US has free shipping as well!!. Canada being left out is very dissappointing. I would have ordered today...But I am not going to now.

      Delete
    4. I wonder if you call CS and ask to place an order and have them honor the promo they would do it? They're losing sales like this and we all know they need the sales.

      Delete
    5. JCrew with their zero Canadian promo and no free shipping today is so out of tune with what other retailers are offering to Cdn consumers. Gap/BR family 40% off and free ship over $50, and other retailers in store discounts. Even Zara in Canada has 50% off racks these days, outside their typical twice annual store sale schedule.
I also feel somewhat insulted - are we taken for fools who can't do the retail math? Is that garment coming from JCrew USA inventory to Canada really worth 40% more here? On principal I will not order while there is such a flagrant disconnect between USA and Cdn promo pricing.
Not sure what the strategy is here - to blow out old inventory only to USA customers at 40% off, or a longer term strategy to kill JC online in Canada. As everyone points out, sadly it is forcibly giving me the push to more selective and mindful purchasing and to shop my closet. But along lines of Stray Cat's theme, do still love the fact that JCrew can turn out items which can be styled to look great on both my millennial daughters and myself in a far older age bracket.

    6. Hi GoWest! You know how all these games the Crew plays feel to me. It feels passive-aggressive. This seems to be a reoccurring theme in our collective cultures and minds and we've all been dancing this dance forever. Not just where shopping the Crew is concerned but in all facets of our lives. But I'm seeing a different reaction now. We are choosing through our words, our actions and our pocketbooks to not participate in those games that keep us literally enslaved. If we keep making our voices heard and wielding our money like the powerful tool it is, we can change the passive-aggressive play into honest and fair relationships. We want that in all areas of our lives. I stayed away from the Crew for 9 months. And I felt free. The minute I came back and made an order the games they play became part of my life again and I was not happy. I'm going to voice my thoughts, talk to Customer Service, write emails, talk to my local store managers about my FEELINGS about this jacking around approach to dealing with customers. And I'm going to use my money as a tool...even weapon if need be. I love the Crew and I'm tried of seeing them sandbag themselves at every turn. It's time for them to move into the New Age...it's here and you're either on the rocket or you're not. I'd hate to see them choose to be left behind.

    2. Thanks--I checked it out! I appreciate looking at the pics but am not really liking the items. :( They continue to do juvenile or retro-looking prints. What happened to the lovely pencil skirts and silk tops they used to do in modern looking florals or abstract prints? I didn't put one thing on my WL from today's roll out either. The liberty prints are too casual/country for me and the drake's/ratti prints are mostly too out there for me. :(

    4. @Cass, I totally forgot that there was a mini roll-out today until you mentioned it! Buzzed over to New Arrivals, but I'm not seeing any must-haves (or even, Wishlist) items right this second. (Mostly b/c I already have similar in my closet.) Not crazy about the Florida print. The lone print I DO like is the palm leaf one that seems to only appear in Swim right now (a pencil skirt in that would be so cool!) That's OK though - my credit card is trying to lose weight anyway! :-)

  31. Hey sugar pops! I want to start a new thread...this morning I got an email about new offerings. I clicked on and saw the cutest gingham off the shoulder top. It comes in navy and turquoise. My first thought was "THAT is SOOO cute!"....then the naughty gremlin in me said "you're too OLD to wear that!". What do you all feel about that? I really admire those super fashionable daring women who wear what they want and what makes their hearts sing. I wear what I love and if I don't think I can pull it off it's always because the garment simply isn't faltering on me. Have we grown past the "myth" that women of a certain age shouldn't wear certain things? Your thoughts on this would really interest me. And yes...I'm going to order that off the shoulder gingham top. It's represents a personal challenge for me to live out loud!

    2. I say go for it! Wear it with confidence. I also think pairing it with maybe with linen full length trousers give it a bit of maturity, instead of pairing it w jeans which will look like you're going to the county fair. I like how the green color is paired w chinos--gives it that urban vibe.

    3. You guys are dolls! Thank you for kind comments and you are so right! This is the year in which we all come into our own and be who we really want to be! I love the idea of making it chic with a classic pant or skirt and I love how it reflects a chicness in a "country girl" kind of way...I'm thinking of images of Brigette Bardot. I adore gingham and I'm excited to see the Crew giving us lots of pretty options. I also love the off the shoulder chambray dress. Are my shoulders trying to make a statement??? Hee!!!

    4. I am on the cusp of 40 and starting to think about this topic. I hate the term "age appropriate" so much- I don't want to be boxed in by my or anyone else's expectations of what I should look like, act like, or dress like at any age. I highly recommend checking out the Instagram account- advancedstyle, for some wonderful inspiration of style and confindence from women who don't seem to care about the term "age appropriate"!

I love the Brigette Bardot reference. She was gorgeous and that's how I'm going to feel when I wear my shoulder top. I can't decide between the off-the-shoulder and the cold-shoulder. I love them both.

    7. You gals make me smile REALLY big! I'm turning 60 this year. No one believes me when I tell them. You know why? It's not only because I have worked hard to keep myself healthy physically, mentally, emotionally but I've learned through 59 years of living that keeping your mind flexible to all possibilities in life and your heart open to all the magic and love in the universe, we stay young in all ways. THAT is why people don't think I "look" 59. Age and all the self limiting ideas about it are figments of our minds that hold us back. I'm going to wear my off the shoulder top with pride and that pride will shine out to other 59 year old women to live the glorious life that we all have available to us. My shoulders say "I've shouldered alot of change AND pain in my life and look at how strong they are. They can support all that life has to give and they are beautiful!"

    11. I can't stop thinking about this....I challenge J. Crew to embrace age. I get compliments all the time, daily usually, about cute, nice, etc. I always look. I'm ALWAYS wearing J. Crew. Maybe not head to toe, but I wear alot of J. Crew. I'd like to see the Crew be visionary and use older people as models. They've done it in the past...I want them to do it all the time! And not marginalize us as showing us only as grandmothers and caregivers, like I've seen some clothing companies do. I don't have kids. I can't relate to that. We are all facets of life....mothers yes, but artists, athletes, teachers.....As we all have talked about, it's not just 20 somethings buying clothes. We as a culture are changing dramatically and we can't hold onto old ideas that no longer serve us as a whole. I'd LOVE to see women my age styled by the Crew! I'd spend alot more money with them I'm sure. Let's stop making owning fun and pretty clothes an exclusive club ....everyone loves beauty no matter how old you are. Ok....off my soap box!

  34. Just came back from a trip to the store to make returns.
Tried on the leopard pants. I found them true to size. I know everyone else said they run big...my smaller size fit perfectly but because they're so light I think I'd size up. When they go on sale I'll try them again.
The ruffle waisted short in black was an absolute LOVE for me. They sit very high on the waist in my usual 0 but in a very flattering way. I love how the shorts flare out on the legs. That silhouette works for me. Very retro inspired and I love the thick fabric.

I tried on the star toothpicks which I had just ordered, then bought them. At the register it said final sale on the screeen so I almost stopped dead in my tracks but didn't. Now I got home and I don't know if I can actually wear them. I posted a pic on IG @wearthislikethis. I'm kind of self conscious in white jeans and well... in the store I liked them but at home I'm not so sure. :(

Nothing else I was really interested in, although I also like the fringey lace mini skirt i didn't see it and forgot to look.

    1. Good to know re: leopard pants! My order is coming Saturday (god willing..). WHat did you think of the length?

      Delete
    2. I'm 5'6" with average length legs I think (my torso is long but my legs aren't short if that makes any sense?) and I felt the length was just about perfect. Maybe they could be cuffed once if you were wearing an ankle strap sandal. The ankle was not as tapered as I expected.
Now that I think about it, it's possible I preferred a size up because I have a long rise.
I think the silhouette is fabulous and I hope they make these pants in solids too.

  35. Wow, the chambray off the shoulder dress with tie waist sold out in hours... I had it in my bag at work today and got home ready to make a purchase and it's gone from the website! Or maybe it's just a glitch. Either way, I'm so sad!

    3. Hi Ladies....silly me! When will I learn! When it's a pre-order item you have to hit that order button ASAP! I had it in my basket, left for 10 minutes and it was gone. I called CS and a sweet young woman asked for me if there was going a reorder. Yes it has been reordered. But no one has any idea when it will be here. Of course I had to ask more questions and I actually dared suggest that for CS reps. since they are the first line of defense they be armed with as much information as possible. Then my sweet young rep. started to get a little upset to which I assured her that I wasn't mad...but glad I will be able to buy the dress...but that it causes shoppers to have to literally stalk the item and that gets us all irritated. At least it does me. I proposed they look into installing the function that emails you when at item in back in stock. I use those services on other shopping sites and it works great. NOW this morning I see it's back!~ What the hay????? So I ordered it. Geez....THIS the game playing that made me take such a long break from the Crew. BUT....I've thought about this. Those fashionable ladies I admire didn't roll out of bed looking like...they made their plans, set their sights and went after what they wanted...so it's what I have to do if I want to look nice. So I gotta play the game or sit on the bleachers with my mouth shut. Hee!!!
