  1. So I really needed a yellow cardigan to go over a Barbour T shirt I just got...I didn't have time to hunt for one and the few stores I could go to didn't really any...So I went to J. Crew to the new version jackie bc they had the perfect yellow. It is a great color though not loving the new long sleeve or plain buttons...I also got the online price honored in store because it was cheaper than online during the day they were doing 40 off sale online. So we shall see what this Jackie is like when I wear it...but I already know the old Jackie's look better..

  2. OT, but Madewell is offering 20% off some full-priced items. I ordered the Shibori Cami Dress (item f1417), which I've loved since the minute I saw it. Madewell really speaks to me. I love almost everything I order, and I always find so many new arrivals to love. I find their quality and use of natural fabrics to be far, far superior to J. Crew. It goes beyond just the more casual, bohemian aesthetic (although I love that, too).

    1. Looking forward to the JM Drygoods x Madewell collab launching on Tuesday.
I'm waking up at 3am PST to check out the stuff; before it sells out. :P

I wish they'd do another 30% off full price. There are a few items on my wishlist I want to get but not at full price.

    2. They're previewing a dress if you do a search for JM Drygoods.

  3. Just wanted to mention that J Crew contacted me regarding a critical review I posted about an item on their website....the representative was super friendly and receptive of my feedback, and she suggested a couple other pieces I might try, instead of the piece I didn't like. She also offered free shipping if I decided to try one of her recommendations.

I wrote back with a bunch of ideas/ wants/ wishes for future product...(more colors of Matte Crepe Trousers! Straw Cleo loafers! More edgy accessories! )..and once again I received a kind and receptive response.

This actually made me think....Alexis, would you ever be open to creating a weekly "wishlist" post? As in, things we would like J Crew to offer in the future?

    1. I think this is a great idea, and I'd add that I'd like to see a space to mention great items we'd like J.Crew to re-issue (I know this could be dangerous, but it's worth a shot).

  4. I bought the iridescent clutch bag with the leather tassels and really love it! The size is perfect and the colors on this thing go with so many outfits. One of my better purchases this Spring. I usually carry a leather satchel, but this clutch is great for going out at night when I don't need everything.

    1. I love that clutch! The tassel really makes it. The only reason I didn't buy it is that I'm still carrying last summer's less-fancy holographic clutch.

  5. Anyone have a review of the striped culottes pant? It's nearly sold out but no reviews up yet and I'm wondering how it fits,

  6. Love my new Collection cashmere gingham cardigan in navy and white. I missed the website error but was able to get one thanks to Anthroblogger. Fit is tts and the cashmere is soft. I also love the gingham ankle tie wrap sandals. This shoe has been a workhorse in my wardrobe. I wear them weekly; they're just that versatile and fun. Posted pics on IG (peterst1).
