J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. reviewed the eyelet lace-up leather flats (pink and navy), and the eyelet ankle strap sandals. I love the leather laces and the look is so stunning while the flats are very comfortable. The white sandals are good as well, but if I were to go with a pair, I would choose the higher heeled version now available with the new rollout.

    1. Great reviews! Those pink flags look gorgeous on you. I came here to say that the eyelet lace up flats were a return for me because I didn't need them but they are stunning as you say. The leather is so buttery. Maybe I'll catch them on clearance someday. And thanks for the white eyelet sandal review. I've been on the hunt for a white sandal and passed these up due to the negative reviews. I'm going to give them a try though!

    2. you're welcome @liztriden! About the negative reviews on the white eyelet sandals, I know some have complained about the stiffness of the leather but it did not bother me. However, I agree that the heel of the flats do tend to slip of so you may keep that in mind. I found that adjusting the ankle straps solved that issue but it may be different for you.

  2. I am wearing my new suede Laila wedges that I picked up at the clearance store. They are TTS and very comfy. I like the navy suede color. I have been battling a recurrence of plantar fasciitis so today is the first day out of my New Balances in about 5 weeks. They are tucked under my desk, don't know if I will make it all day. Of all the things for a "shoe girl"...Not fun.

  3. The navy & white striped dreamy cotton pajamas are going back. The seam where the sleeve and body meet is reinforced with CLEAR PLASTIC TAPE as part of the serging. Enough already.

    1. Yeah, you don't want those PJs. I have old Gap t-shirts that have the weird plastic stuff sewn into the seam. Scratches like CRAZY! What is the purpose of using that? Yuck.

    2. Are they knit pajamas? If so, often times the clear elastic is stitched into the shoulder seam to keep it from stretching out.
