  2. I really like the suede ankle wrap wedges. I ordered the navy and I think I'm going to order the brown, too (currently 25% off). They are comfortable and flattering. I like that the wedge gives a little height, but they are still easy to walk in. Great, easy summer sandal.

    1. Did you take your normal size? I have been thinking about these. Thanks!

    2. I did, and it fits, but I would say that I could have also maybe gone up a size. I know that's kind of ambiguous, but it *just* fits if you know what I mean. I didn't bother ordering the size up to see, because I am impatient and want to wear them, but I probably should have just to see what the difference is.

Its a really nice shoe. I also like that it can be tied in a few different ways . . . all the way up the calf, just around the ankle, tied in front, tied in back, to the side, etc.

  3. Last summer I picked up a pair of Parker Ankle boots for at song at my local Factory store. They were the J.Crew version, retail $320, but wound up there somehow, maybe because they were being discontinued, I don't know. It was an impulse purchase, and a little different from my usual style, but they ended up being my absolute favourite boots to wear this spring! They added a nice touch to so many outfits, I found myself reaching for them every day, and they broke in really nicely. I'm sad that it's now getting too warm to wear them.

  4. Wearing the Tortoise flower necklace and Venus earrings from a couple of years ago with a red and white striped t-shirt and brown ankle pants today. I especially love this necklace. I remember thinking $138 is totally over priced but I had to have it and I'm glad I did.

Does anyone have the new style guide to share pics with us?

    2. I got mine yesterday (of course, I placed an order yesterday BEFORE I got it). But no worries, I'm sure there will be something else I want . . .

    2. There are some nice items! Everything says excluded from promo so hopefully there'll be a promo next week for new arrivals.

    3. There's some cute things. That stripe popover is *not* one of them. Unless you are a 78 year old man with a metal detector on Miami Beach.

    4. LOL Blakemdjohns, I made the mistake of ordering the striped popover a few weeks ago based on the NYFW photos. I've already received it and returned it..actually, I couldn't get it back to the store fast enough. The fit is horrendous imo, but I bet it will still sell out. It's short, boxy and I found the cut of the shoulders/sleeves extremely unflattering. Then again, I tend not to like what everyone else likes...ie: not a fan of the off the should tops/dresses.

    6. Thank you for the heads up! I was really looking forward to more summer blazer offerings but am bummed that two out of the three are Regents and that the third has "shrunken" in the description. The Regents have just never worked for me.

    7. Re: striped popover, I had a similarly striped shirt with long sleeves back in the late 80s/early 90s. It's not a look I plan to revisit!

On the other hand, those leather gingham collection sandals are divine!

    8. Thanks for this! Just placed an order for the cute - albeit a little overpriced - Kayu™ piƱata tote
item F2871 - now I must plan a worthy vacation to take it to!

  8. I love that J. Crew kept their functioning cuff buttons on their super 120 suit jackets.
At this day and age, most retailers (talbots, Ann Taylor, banana republic) had value engineered their cuff buttons to fake, fixed ones. Thank goodness that JC has not done that. I love flipping up the cuffs and showing the contrast lining underneath.
