Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Re: Pinterest photos of the February Style Guide.

I wasn't wowed by it. That's just me. There are only a few things I'm interested in seeing, but that's just from the style guide, there will be more online.

Curious about the pants. If J.Crew offers the Patio cotton in petite. Also pull-ons, Teddie...
I also want to see the shoes. I missed out on a couple from this winter season.
And lastly, that grey Collection Moto jacket-love how it was paired with white jeans!

    1. My store (willow grove mall, pa) was supposed to get them today but the store director just called me and said the new arrivals got delayed because of the snow storm

    2. Will the new arrivals be on-line tomorrow?

    3. Yes. Per J.Crew. I asked them on IG.

    4. I talked to a CS representative today. Lynchburg was closed on Saturday, and the distribution center reopened late on Sunday. UPS wasn't operating most of the weekend. Lynchburg is catching up on orders from the distribution center today. A lot of shopping centers were closed this weekend in the storm area - even if they received merchandise today, they may be delayed in putting it out. I'm sure we'll all live through this :-)

  3. I didn't visit the store, but since our weather has been mild as of late, I took advantage of the warmer temps to wear my J.Crew Collection Tweed Topcoat to church yesterday. I purchased the coat a few years ago, and it has become a favorite item in my wardrobe. More outfit details and a pic in this post.

  4. I visited a store yesterday. It was the smaller of the two near me. It was pretty empty of merchandise. I tried on two items. Pics of the Fine-striped V-neck Cardigan of my Instagram

  5. I cannot wait for 9:30pm PST. I am so over the merchandise that's online...

  6. This is maybe a little o/t, but I'm headed to NYC for a few days soon and thought I'd pop into one of the J.Crews there to check out new arrivals. Does anyone recommend one Manhattan J.Crew over the next? I'll be mostly near Lincoln Center and midtown, but wouldn't mind going downtown if a store there is bigger or has a better selection!

    1. I've gotten the best deals at the Columbus Center J Crew. The one in Rock Center is always picked over, esp for sale items. The one on Madison and 45th-ish is small and the sale section is a mess with items shoved together. I love the one on 5th Ave and 15-16th-ish. The women's section is on two different floors but sale items are hit or miss (and some times they have no sale section at all). I only buy when items are on sale.

  7. I went to my B&M earlier today for a return (caged bow flat in snakeskin/ Made in Morocco/ ok, not awesome) and employees were busy with new merchandise.. Got to see a few pieces : plaid popover , pencil skirt diagonal mixed stripes (navy/white & bright blue/white) ,pencil skirt patterned in blue/off white (jacquard fabric/on the heavy side),bucket bag in pale beige/pink.. Jewelry inside case only w/ 30%off (nothing new that I could see) and sale section with add 50% (very picked over/few shoes/tshirts & turtlenecks).

    1. just and add-on... they also had a new print (blue background/large scale print) in a top and shorts - strangely similar to the new print that factory released a few days ago(sleeveless top). Or my mind was playing tricks..

    2. I saw that this afternoon at my J Crew (South Hills in Pittsburgh) too Nan so your mind is definitely NOT playing tricks on you!!

  8. Just got my Feb Style Guide in the mail, it is very thin. Very understated and casual vibe but I am enjoying how they have styled many of the items. Like the new Tippi with the buttons, interesting addition. Looking forward to seeing what is available online tomorrow.

    1. I received my style guide, too! Early. Past years, mine has always arrived 2-3 days after the new stuff rolls out.

Interesting that they are launching sunglasses. Wonder how long that will last. I prefer the name brands (3rd party) they carry.

  9. I ordered a pair of Biella loafers in 2 sizes. One is too short and the other my heel slips. If anyone has these, and has worn them, can you advise on how they wear? Can I expect them to stretch out a lot? I think the right one is wider because people must have been trying it on in the store.

  10. Saw some lovely things in the collection store, a suede top that came in pink or - um - blue? Also liked the grayish-tannish leather moto jacket, although since I'm seeing all kinds of moto jackets all over the place, I'm dubious about making a big investment. Best thing about the jacket, no puffy quilting anywhere on it. And the new cross body bag looks like a contender. They claimed they couldn't give out the new catalog until Wednesday. Hmpphh.

  11. I went to a J Crew this afternoon, and while there wasn't much new merchandise out save for a single of that striped Tippi sweater with the buttons on the shoulders from Pinterest (for layout purposes tonight, I'm assuming), stuff had definitely been moved around since I was there last week. The sale section (still extra 50%-off, final sale) had been condensed from three walls in the back room to just one though, plus a table and some bins, with shoes moved to one wall of the shoe section. No new sale stuff though, it was pretty cleaned out there as well.
