  1. Loving the Toothpick Cone Denim jean in Harborside wash (E5854). There's only one review online and it's a bad one because the reviewer's pair of jeans ripped under the pocket when she was putting them on. These are not thick denim, so I guess that could be a risk with them. Good amount of stretch, nice blue shade of blue, high rise (not usually my favorite but I like it on these). I'm already buying a backup pair because I like them so much. So comfortable I could sleep in them (but I won't!). I've never much liked the Toothpicks in the past, but I'm converted on this pair.

    1. Forgot to add that there is a bit of whiskering, so if you don't like that, you might not like these. It's subtle, though.

    2. Hi cate, I'm glad to hear the positive review! I was curious about the harborside wash. Is it a light blue shade? Is there a lot of variances in the color throughout the denim?
I became a toothpick convert last winter after I purchased the Hannah wash which was more distressed than I ever buy but they were so comfy I had to have them. I've kept buying different washes since. Surprisingly the toothpicks were the most comfy post baby and still are my most comfy.

    3. jan, the wash is not that light. It looks very medium blue to me, maybe slightly lighter on front of thighs. I don't think there is a lot of variance in the color throughout. A bit, maybe?

    4. Thank you, cate! I hope to try them in store next time I'm out of town. My Parker wash jeans are so light on the thighs compared to the rest of the leg I kind of regret that wash or at least the pair I received.

    5. You should look at them in person if you can, then. I think you'll probably like them, though!

  2. Love the large plaid scarf (e5510) in soft terracotta (hint: it's red). Big, but not blanket scarf crazy-big. JC continues to do scarves well.

    1. I love this scarf, too. I was surprised how soft it is.
I got the heather natural red. It's a great neutral. The hint of red is an orangey red, the natural has a pinkish cast to it.

  3. Love JCrews customer service. Honestly I feel that you can't beat it. Their customer service never lets me down unlike some retailers. I'm looking forward to spring rollouts and praying that 2016 will be a great year for my favorite retailer. :)

  4. Loving the sale update this morning. Was able to finally order striped tunic with faux fur trim (hoping this will just be a fun piece for casual wear with navy suede leggings or a skinny jean) and talll wool patio pant in chartreuse. Ema's review on her IG of leopard collarless silk shirt made me pull the trigger. Glad this is a top I can wear year round.; planning to pair with chartreuse patio pants or a red slack with a black slingback or leopard print kitten heel slingback.

    1. Yay Mygoddy. I recently got a lucky popback on the striped tunic with faux fur. I posted some pics on my IG @shoppingcelle if you want to take a look at my mini review!

    4. Thanks for your kind words Mygoddy. I paired it with the navy pixie jodhpur pant with the inset leather panels FYI.

    5. @shopping celle, thanks for letting me know which pants you're wearing. I missed out on those LOL! They're really cute.

  5. Super off topic...but buyer beware...I saw a blouse in store from Banana Republic and in store retail price was $88. online for exact shirt it is $98. I called CS and they said they can charge diff retail price for same items online and in store....Disguisting and horrible customer service to do that...Terrible...yet another reason why the sales are so down for that store...just thought i would warn you about this price game even though it's off topic..

  6. I just posted in the "vent" thread, but over here on the "love" side I have to say my long wintress puffer is into it's third Winter and it's doing great, it's been a great coat and it's very flattering. Love that they offered it in a tall size for my long arms.

    1. Agree! I have both the retail and the factory version of this coat (have had the factory version for about 4 years, retail for 1-2 years). The factory one is actually nicer IMO, better down filling than my more recent retail one (I might sell this one). They're both great coats though.

  7. I'm still loving my Tippi fair isle sweater (grey). I'm thinking about getting another because I'm sure I'll wear this one to death.

    1. It's a great sweater, isn't it? Wish the other colorway would pop back in my size.

  8. I love getting my rewards card! Anyone know when the next one goes out? I feel like I've gotten off-schedule somehow. Can't remember if we've had one recently or if there's one coming up....

    1. my rewards were adjusted and mailed on Jan 2 (according to the credit card site)... and it takes like a month to six weeks to get it by mail soooo... early-mid february?

      Delete
    2. It takes so long...you should have access to the rewards instantly.

    3. @Miss JR, where does the site tell you the rewards card was mailed? No sign of mailing on my JC card account :(

    4. when you log in to the jcrew credit card site... you see the menu in black on the left (home, payments, account activity, etc)... there's one for rewards with a little trophy next to it... click it and you should get a little mini list with various "points adjustments" and stuff... you should see a "rewards mailed" in the transactions section... mine currently says: 01/02/2016 Reward Mailed - Arrives In 4 To 6 Weeks

      Delete
    5. No, sadly there's only the list of transactions. Guess I'll have to call.

      Delete
    6. You should also be able to search by date if you have too many recent transactions that are popping up first. If mine says mailed on the 2nd, try doing a search for January first to today.

      Otherwise... Yeah... call. :/

  9. I'm wearing the patio pants in mini-dot wool and I LOVE THEM! The fabric is really nice, they fit me well in my usual Jcrew pant size, and they are LINED!

Sorry for shouting, but lined wool pants are something I've been looking for, and even though these are cropped, they are nice and warm and perfect for winter.

  10. I mentioned in another post about a sales associate making a mistake, re: price adjustments (said I needed to bring the item in with tags attached), and online customer service was wonderful about fixing it and making sure I got the money back, even though by the time they e-mailed me back, it would be past the seven-day deadline. Even when the debit card I made the original purchase on in-store wouldn't work for an online-processed price adjustment, they were happy to give me the money back on a credit card instead. So thank you so much for J Crew's customer service being as great as ever :)

  11. I've been eyeing the sweater skirt. It's currently at $99 with a 40% off promo. Do you think it will get reduced? All sizes are still available!!
