  1. With the free shipping, this is a good promotion - but nothing I want/need. Ready for new stock please!

    1. Me too! October roll-out was pretty boring. Do you (or anyone) have any idea when the new roll-out should be available?

    2. Do you know when the new arrivals will be on-line?

  2. Has anyone seen the Collection Silk-Wool top in painterly floral IRL? Is it worth the full price? It is always excluded from sale.

    1. I have the skirt and I think it is just as pictured online and stunning in person. I normally find that J.Crew items don't always look IRL like they are pictured, but in this case, I thought the online photos were a great representation of the fabric. I personally felt the skirt was a special enough piece to pay full price for. I imagine the shirt would look as stunning IRL also. HTH!

  3. I got a November style guide at my local store last night. There are some cute things. They have gone crazy with the buffalo plaid shirt, offering in several different color combos. There was a cute pair of tortoise patent loafers that caught my eye. Other than that, I don't remember much else. According to my local store, the big roll out is this Monday. Also, the first few pages of the style guide are not on shiny paper, more matte finish paper. It looks a little different due to that but maybe that is part of the change as well. It seems there was a lot of focus on coats as well. Maybe that is something they think they do well, which I agree they do. I have at least a dozen from them myself. Also, picked up the embroidered star t-shirt which is quite cute. I like that the stars are actually embroidered. I am going to use it as a layering piece. It is $24.99 less 40%.

  5. @DoodleDachshund - did you take your usual tee size in the embroidered tee or size down? Thank you! I can't wait to see Nov. Style guide, that's great that you were able to get one already.

  6. I got my usual size. I will tell you that the V-neck is low. I am wearing mine layered under a denim jacket with 05363 wool scarf from 2 years ago (antique floral pattern) and wait for it...the Sunday slim chino with metallic tux stripe. Yes, I bought them and I actually love them with this look. I like the richness of the brown and the little tux stripe is a surprise love for me with the rich camel tones in the scarf and the little stars add interest instead of just a plain gray tee.

    1. DD, that sounds like a nice pairing! How did you find the fabric of the tee? I almost ordered it yesterday but wasn't sure since it says it's a poly/cotton blend. I ordered the pocket t-shirt with metallic trim (c9403) and am hoping it's a winner. It got good reviews and was actually an extra 50% off when I applied the code.

    2. It is very nice and drapey and seems pretty substantial. The embroidery is very nicely done.

    4. Thank you, DD! The low vneck might be a deal breaker for me but I'm still on the fence since it sounds nice otherwise. Glad you liked the chino with tux stripe, your outfit sounds nice!

  7. If you've been looking at the sleeveless v-neck shift lace dress, yes it's very cute. However, it's on sale in-store for $129.99 and still regular price online. I bought it and wore it to the Steve Jobs screening last Fri. If you go to the movie, don't go to the bathroom in the first 40 min because my part is somewhere in there. I will be blogging about the dress, etc...as soon as I can.

    2. Oh Gigi, thanks for that tip about the dress, that is great to know! I know you weren't crazy about the top that came in that style, but i'm glad the dress worked out for you - i think that lace design is lovely. Lastly, a million congrats on your part in the movie, I love news like this & i'm so happy for you!!

    1. cousy - Have you ever tried Loft or Ann Taylor for jeans? I absolutely love my Loft jeans. I recently got the flare jeans in a 8P. They're currently an addtl 60% off right now. For you & others reading, take your usual, J Crew numeric size. For me that is 6 or 8P. If you have hips that go to the side (pear?), get the curvy. If you have a booty in the back but are straight on the sides, the curvy will probably not be a match. Just get regular.

    2. Thanks for the tip - there's a Loft near my office so I'll check it out.

And congrats on the movie role!
