Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. In-store discount automatically taken at the register. To redeem online, enter code EXTRA30 in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
I love love love that this promotion for 30% off sale is back at Madewell online. :) (This promotion was already running in brick & mortar stores.)

If you haven't checked Madewell out yet, you really should. They are my only source for denim right now. My current fav are the Legging Jeans- so slimming and comfortable! The cut, style, and quality are all there. J.Crew denim (which I love too) does not even compare to Madewell's offerings.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion at Madewell? What Madewell item are you hoping to pick up? Please share!

  1. Yes. I got the station pullover sweater. The things that I like are not on sale yet!

  2. I have never ordered from Madewell, but I just might! I just took a look and I love the Luster cotton v-neck tee. Any thoughts on sizing? I'm almost always a small in JC.
Also, I would love some advice on their jeans. JC jeans have never fit me very well. I'm petite, but with muscular thighs and calves. Would their jeans work for me? Jbrand, AG, and COH tend me fit me the best right now.

    1. JC and Madewell jeans fit about the same, I've tried on a lot of both (and own some). But it will vary depending on style and depending on whether a particular style/wash has any stretch in it.

If you don't live near a Madewell, consider ordering Madewell from Nordstrom because you'll get free returns. That minimizes the risk of trying on some styles. Nordstrom doesn't carry the whole Madewell line, but it's worth a look.

    3. I have to disagree (respectfully!) with cate, I have a similar body type to yours I think--I'm 5'4" and a runner, so I also have muscular thighs and calves (and long torso/short legs).

I do like the old J Crew matchstick style, but toothpicks have never looked great on me. I DO really like the madewell skinny skinny ankle jeans. They're the first skinny jeans I've found that actually fit me! They are, of course, tight, but they fit way better than toothpicks ever have for me (and the length is spot on for wearing with tennis shoes like New Balance).

The slim boyjean is also great if you like that style--I sized down one from my skinny skinny size, and they're still a bit roomy in the thigh (unheard of!).

As mentioned above, Madewell does do free shipping and returns on jeans (even sale ones), so I say give them a try. For reference, I wear a 25 short in matchsticks, and got a 26 in the skinny skinny ankle jeans and a 25 in the slim boyjeans. HTH!

    4. I am petite, 5' 1" and wear a 27 in Toothpick. I never got the Matchstick to work for me. But the skinny skinny crop is to die for in fit. There was a very dark rinse that I sized down to a 25 and that worked. But normally a 26 is the best. Definitely, as suggested if you have a store nearby go in and try on to find the style/fit that works for you. They do hemming for free I believe.

  3. I recommend the miracle tee, which is on promo and takes the add'l % off. Love the dark blue; the horizontal stripe is darling but was unflattering on me.

  4. I bought two items: the Mira pumps in black and Easygoing Muscle shirt in ash stone. I should have read the reviews of the muscle shirt before ordering. They come with pre-made holes in the pocket! You can see it in the photo on the website. One of the reviewers thought the holes were from washing.

  6. Three things I want are on sale and I'm debating whether to order them online now or go to my store this weekend and try to find them there (it would be wonderful to stack the student discount on top of this!). I'm not sure if I will have time to go to the store and don't know if I want to risk my size selling out!

  7. I got the dusk fall blazer online. Not only it was tight in the arms, but the security tag was left on by mistake!! Ugh. So now I have to tread to a retail store to get it removed...
