Madewell is Now Available at Nordstrom!

In last month's "Coming Soon! Madewell at Net-a-Porter & Nordstrom" post, it was discussed that Madewell was coming to Nordstrom. Well it is finally here!

To shop Madewell over at Nordstrom online, click here. Even cooler? Nordstrom is price matching Madewell's current promotions. Even better? No code necessary as it is automatically applied.

More cool news? There are several Nordstrom brick and mortar stores carrying Madewell:

If you couldn't tell, I am pretty excited about this. {Throwing up some jazz hands!} Well, if an item is out of stock in the size or color you wanted at Madewell, head on over to Nordstrom to see if they have it! Plus, Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns. So easy!

What are your thoughts on this latest Madewell news? Are you surprised to see the brand being sold at other outlets? If so, please share! :)

  1. Why would they put it in a Nordstrom that has a Madewell store down the hall in the same mall? I would think they target areas that do not have access to Madewell. I saw at least one location above that this is the case.

    1. Just guessing: but maybe it's kind of like how some places in New York City have a Starbucks across the street from each other. That some of Nordstrom's customers don't know about Madewell and this might be some good exposure for them? Again, just guessing...

  2. Ahhh I think this is a HUGE way to get people to buy. Who doesn't love free shipping and free return shipping? I did notice they are price matching...good call! Only funny thing is, now there are four Madewells pretty close to each other in the CT/Westchester area. Now two in the Westchester mall, Greenwich, and Westport. A little redundant, but there is big money in this area lol.

  4. Love this. Don't forget Nordstrom points. You can't get that at Madewell.

  5. There is a pair of jeans I've wanted to try from Madewell, so for the heck of it I ordered them via Nordstrom the other day. They arrived in 2 days in a Nordstrom box with a Nordstrom invoice. The clear plastic bag said Madewell. Nothing odd or unusual about the transaction. It got here faster than my purchases made directly from Madewell, so that was nice and I'll remember that for future if I want something in a hurry. But they don't carry most of what Madewell offers (or at least they didn't the day I ordered, they had about 55 or so Madewell items for sale). It's a nice option to have and it will get Madewell some great exposure.

  6. I think this is great for everyone - customers get access to Madewell and all of Nordstroms service perks and points.

As far as the company's rationale, it does boost sales and it grows the brand without having the huge expense of new retail stores. I don't think we'll see much more growth in the J Crew brand - in fact it's mature and kind of declining in sales - and Madwell is their darling growth brand now.
