Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. WellFedFred, called the new promo already. But just want to mention if you are looking for a Downing Tote, now is the time. They are showing up in the Sale Section as select colors $129.99-$136.00 Extra 40% off with code WEEKENDMUST and in the Spring Picks as select colors $129.99–$136.00 25% off with code WEEKENDMUST. Did a test check out and the Warm Taupe priced $81.60 and the Cocoa - $77.99. Maybe a glitch while they switch over the promo.

  2. Weekend must is a bust. Nothing working for me!

  3. I feel like we are all desperate to buy something we love and there just isn't anything out there at a price we are willing to pay. Everyone keeps mentioning how empty the stores are when they go in. I stopped by earlier this morning to return the third pair of boots that I ordered that were defective and the mall was busy but not JCrew. They had added stuff to the sale section but nothing for me today.

  4. I went Wednesday to return, and there is nothing I wanted at the store. Saw the NB gold/cream sneakers and it looks cute. I like the idea of wearing gold during the spring/summer.

So many poorly designed tops - borderline tacky, and for the price, no thanks. Pretty boring stuff.

I hope this coming Wednesday's roll-out will have nice stuff.

  5. Stopped by my B&M to make a return. Tried on the Martie pant and it was a disappointment. The fit itself was true to size (for reference I'm almost 5'5", approx. 113 lbs., straight body type, and usually wear size 0 or 26 in pants/jeans). The material was very comfortable, stretchy, and not clingy - they aren't like leggings. Backside was also flattering and the length was great as it stopped slightly above the ankles. However, there was quite a bit of bunching of excess material in the front so your eyes are immediately drawn to that are. The SAs speculated that it was due to the higher rise and the zipper on the side. Rather unfortunate as it had such great potential.

    1. The style guide photo of the Martie showed the bunching so I figured it would be a bust on us without airbrushing:)

  6. My store was very quiet as well. I don't get the 30% and FS in mid February - stingy and clearly not attracting customers. Other retailers are doing 50-60% or more off sale! I've noticed in years past that the promos aren't so great when rewards go out at JCrew and that may be the strategy. This is a long dry spell.

    1. Seriously! As I look outside at yet another 3" of snow that fell overnight, I can't imagine wearing anything remotely spring-like, but I also don't want to look at any winter items that aren't drastically reduced.

  8. I stopped in on Friday, I liked a couple of things but didn't bite yet. There was one new style guide out they seemed to be working with so I asked for one. Of course they said no. Don't they want to sell stuff?

    1. I had the same issue with the February arrivals. They said they couldn't put it out since they weren't online yet.

  9. Stopped in and tried on the Martie pants, a no go for me. My minnie size was too tight (maybe need to ease up on the Trader Joe, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter cups). Tried next size up and they were baggy in the crotch area). I did pick up the Buffalo Plaid iPhone 6 case for $14. Also, they had the March style guide out. Took a look through it is a destination guide with pictures of Majorca. For me, I loved many new items, J Crew may have redeemed themselves. Some lovely dresses, a great pair of sandals (Made in Italy) and some wedges, some interesting, maybe boxy tops in colors and prints, the Ryder pant looks interesting. For those that longed for gingham shirts, there are two, pink and blue. I loved the section on styling at all ages and a section called Blueprint, some great styling ideas.
