Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Has anyone reviewed the drop-waist dress? I'd like to see it on someone before ordering (they aren't carrying it in my store). Thank you!

  4. Apparently Canadian stores won't be getting the November rollout until Monday - so no JC for me this weekend!

  5. Well, I will be stopping by now since I just got an email from J Crew saying 30% off for J Crew Cardmembers on full price styles in store, ending on Sunday. So will be looking for a price adjustment for the items I purchased on Tuesday from the new rollout. Plus will have more time to try on some other items.

  6. FYI - A new in-store only promo just went out via email; 30% off full price (for cardholders) and 40% off final sale.

  7. I wish that 30% for cardholders was online, too. My store didn't get some of the items I wanted to try.

  8. I went today to return some stuff. Sale items are 40%. I didn't see anything new. The sale section is so unorganized, I didn't even want to go near it.

I tried on this cute thick merino grey sweater with raw wool edges that went from shoulder to sleeves. I like it. I think it will be part of next roll-out. Tempted to buy it, but I'm waiting to see if its offered in other colors.

I also tried the Mixed tweed dress. It didn't fit right in my size, so meh on that dress.
I also tried the Buffalo check flannel shirt-jacket. Like Ema, it looks boxy on me, too. I didn't like that it was zipper, I would prefer if it with buttons. I tried an XS. The length of the sleeves are long. It's a good thick flannel material. The color is navy/cream not black/white. Definitely not for shorties like me.

I can't believe the cocoon coat is part of the 25%, but online is not. I had to ask CS online to prove my point, and they gave me the 25% off the cocoon coat in heather dusk. Pfffffff....

I also went to Madewell. The Downshift shirt i ordered. OH My...the XS did not fit me!!!! I am shocked. I think Ema was right, they do run small. I had to beg Madewell CS if I can exchange it, so I had to reorder the size small at the store.
BTW, Madewell sale items take an extra 30%. I tried on the Leather-pocket installation dress. Fits a tad big. Went with an XS, but didn't buy it.
I also tried the Ultimate leather jacket - YUM! I wonder if Madewell will do another % off if you spend $.....I want that leather jacket!!! Its nicely made. Good quality for the price. I went in Shopbop, and most of their moto jackets are $700 and up.

FYI - I passed by H&M to check something out and I saw that they carry the same Boiled Wool sweatshirt like J.Crew. It was a cream color, and it was around $48-49. Exactly like it.

  10. I went in last night, I love the new collection. I didn't buy anything yet. The new floral sweatshirt is cute but I just bought the Dutch floral one. The lurex sweaters are gorgeous and I like the Robertson tees

  11. I tried on the Roll-Sleeve sweater and it's much cuter than I expected. The hthr orchid color is nice. You'd probably want to size down in this; it's a relaxed fit. It would probably look good layered over a long-sleeved tee or maybe a turtleneck. 30% off in store.

    1. I like that sweater, in that color, too. I wanted to try it, but my store didn't carry it.

  13. Stopped by two local J.Crew stores. Both were running 40% off final sale. I was looking specifically for the Shaped Choker, which the first store didn't have. I got to try it on at the second store. I would have considered it if the 25% off stacked with the student discount, but it didn't (shame since the 40% off final sale does stack with the student discount). It would look super cute with the right top (collared or scoopneck I think). I hope to grab it when it goes on sale!
