J.Crew Even Sweeter Sale: 100+ Brand New Styles

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know the following news from this morning.

J.Crew has a nice update to their Sale (click here to shop online) section online this morning. Lots of merchandise for everyone. It's pretty amazing how much stuff is getting stocked in the morning.

J.Crew also sent out an email letting us know that 100 new styles were added to the sale section. Plus, a lot of items got an additional markdown on the base sale price. Yey!

Great timing to use with the the additional 40% off all sale items (no min) with promo code SOSWEET. This code expires today.

Did you check out the Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  1. It seems the new stuff added are a lot of bridesmaid dresses. Nothing exciting. I keep checking Pinterest, hoping they'll load November's style guide. Nothing so far....

I did have a good customer service experience. I recently purchased the perforated monk strap loafers during the 25% promo last week, is now on sale for $199.99. So I emailed customer service hoping to get a price adjustment, with the 25% promo reflected on to my purchase. Not only was the price adjusted, but they honored the 40% instead of my original purchase of 25%. Awesome! My original purchase w/ tax was $226....now the shoes only cost me $130 w/ tax!!! Wow...I wasn't even asking for the 40%, but they gave it to me. :) I love a good sale.

    2. Hi Pathos. I have somewhat wide feet, and my usual size of 5.5 fits me. I read reviews on the site with other ladies sizing up, but it wasn't the case for me. Hope it works out for you!

    3. I wish there were a way to filter sale to exclude bridal, swim and maternity.

    4. Cate- agree. And also why do they have to show tall. Petite and regular?

  2. OT, I've noticed that amidst the gloomy offerings this season, there are a few brights - and they are selling briskly. The red Biella loafers are gone, and different varieties of Dulci heels (bright blue, red and pink) are almost sold out. The only color of the Regent blazer that is moving is the red.

    Is anyone at JC noticing?

    1. I agree, Cousy. The good designs are selling quick. Too bad there is more gloomy offerings than good offerings. Slim pickings. :P

Please let November roll-out be nice, and festive for the holidays...

    2. Agreed: I'm ready to buy. But not if this is what J Crew thinks is "sexy" and "chic":

    3. Greetings Cousy - I don't think the dark, monochromatic tones are limited to J.Crew this season. Have you walked into a Banana Republic or Gap lately? It's a pretty cloudy day in those stores . . . .

    4. JenniferD - you're absolutely right. It's just that J Crew was really known for color, unlike its rivals. J Crew's palette has kept me buying (until this year). I just thought it was interesting that the gray items seem to be lingering while the bolder hues seem to be selling at J Crew this season.

  3. I'm glad I placed my J.Crew order yesterday, because today those same items are marked as final sale at the same price. On the factory side, I noticed that the new arrivals are priced lower today than yesterday, so I used live chat to get a price adjustment. To anyone else who bit yesterday, make sure to check today's prices!

    1. thanks for the heads up on the Factory prices being lower today! The last few rollouts they stopped with that nonsense so I stopped checking but appreciate it...I will be asking for a price adjustment!!

    2. I'm glad it was helpful! Honestly I don't understand why J.Crew plays these pricing games, because it's such a hassle for everyone.

  4. Here's a question--I bought some toothpick jeans on final sale at 40% off online, but they canceled my order with a "we wish we made enough" email. Only the local B&M store has them in stock. Has anyone run into this? Will the store honor the online price?

    1. Julie- technically that shouldn't happen. Jcrew is now using an " enterprise" system, rather than " We will find it for you". If it is not in stock in Direct then automatically search the B& M stores stocks. That is why you may receive your item in a bag with a store address. That is unacceptable to receive that email if you see it in the store. The store should honor that price, especially if you got that email. If you have a smartphone, show the email to the SA. I know I would do this for you...

    2. I would call or chat, mention they have them at your store, and ask them to do a WWFI or charge-send honoring the price of your cancelled order. HTH

  5. Ha. This reminds me of a blog post I made recently: "This little bracelet I got for free from Banana Republic by combining a rewards with my birthday coupon. I am rather enamored of it. The sad thing was that I had to look long and hard at Banana Republic to find anything I wanted even for free. That store is pretty monochromatic and dreary right now."

  7. Does anyone have a review of the coated toothpicks with zippers? (Or are they sateen? Can't remember).

Also, just a heads up: I was just over on Purseblog, and it looks like the weekend sale is going to be 30% off FP and 40% off sale. I believe the code they have listed is WEEKENDPLANS.

    1. They are sateen. I have many toothpicks and I took my usual size. Wore them to work yesterday and loved them. I think they have a bit of stretch.

    2. Thanks, Doodle Daschund! I went to my store today and tried the ones without zippers; they looked terrible on me :( I guess J.Crew pants and I were not meant to be together

  8. Well, if you planned on placing an order tonight you're out of luck. I've been trying to place an order for the last 30 min and I couldn't figure out what was going on so I called and apparently their entire ordering system is down. So, you can't order online or on the phone. Boo, jcrew, boo!
