J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  2. Got the seersucker shift- in P8- and those pockets at the hips are horrible I don't need mine to be highlighted more (I guess I could hit the gym but....nah)- and the arm gap ugh the dreaded arm gap! But I got at final sale so will keep to consign later.

    Also got the silk strap maxi for my upcoming trip to cambodia and bali....Horrible!! the fabric is ugh like it's going to pill any minute and super clingy which again don't need since i don't go to the gym. I have gotten other maxi's from crew with much better fabric and flawy without being to clingy or too flawy....but thankfully it's not final sale so back it goes!

  3. Got the 1035 suits in super 120's with the 30% off full price promo a while back. Have not been able to post on my blog yet but a quick review here in case someone is considering: very nice quality and fit, I paired mine with the Telegraph pencil skirt. Color navy and heather grey are classics.

  4. The featherweight cashmere cardigans are awesome! I might have commented on this last week. They are an amazing staple. Dressy, casual, very lightweight, but provide just the right amount of warmth in the summer. Great through fall and spring too. I should've grabbed a pretty color yesterday during the 40% off. I have navy and black.

  6. Sorry OT but can anyone recommend sizing for Boden tops, skirts, dresses? I wear XS in most crew sweaters & 2P/4P in tops/dresses.

    2. Gigi, thanks for the shoutout. Just saw this. :)

      I say if you are an xs or 4p in J. Crew tops, go with a 2 or 4 in Boden. (Maybe try a Petite option if available, too.) Boden runs a touch smaller than J. Crew, but not by much. My usual is that if something in Boden is woven material, I size to my larger Boden size, but if it is from a knit *stretchy* material, I will go with the smaller size.

      Boden dresses usually are fitted through the bodice and shoulders and less fitted through the waist. The hips can be either very fitted or super loose depending on the style of dress and the material it is made from. Most of my returns to Boden are from dresses that fit just fine up top but are far too tight in the hips. (I am a pear shape, though.)

      Does this help?
