  1. OK I bit... Eaton boy trousers for $34.99! Had to stock up for work. Also added in the lace-sleeve top (thanks to Gigi and others for the reviews), a couple tees, and the emma leather ballet flats. I'm hoping they work out, I'm in desperate need of new ballet flats and am trying to avoid suede. I loved my suede cece's but they got so so dirty.

    1. Jamie - thank sfor the mention :) You have to care for suede a little more than regular leather. You need one of the brushes to fluff up the nap and make sure you have protective spray on them. When you fluff up the nap (brushing it), they should look fresh again. keep some shoe tools in box in the laundry and take a few pair of shoes out at a time to revitalize.

  2. Had a few things sitting in my cart from when the promo began. A muscle tee, striped muscle tee and a few cheap basics so I pulled the trigger. The only final sale item was the striped puff sleeve blazer which I tried on in store in a too small size to get an idea about fit. Pretty happy with this promo.

  3. Without the promo, the Schoolboy blazer in black (05158) is $198 for petite and tall sizes, but $98 for the regular folks. That's fair.

  4. I caved as well. I had a few things that I was planning to purchase anyhow so the additional 10% helped with that. I picked up the sleveless photo floral top and the sunburst skirt in ashen clay. Figured for $42 each it was worth a try given neither were final sale items.

  5. has anyone been to the store? are they still having 50% off? i put something on hold where there was 50% off but will they honor it if it's 40% today? I know it's only 10 % but good grief.. they keep changing % off daily!!!

  6. I am so irritated! I had a pair of black Minnies and Pixies in my cart this AM - they were on promo and w/the HISUMMER code, 30% off on top of it. I should have made the immediate purchase, but had to get my kids ready for camp and figured I'd look through the sale section a little more later, and poof! Back to full price and the promo/discount is gone. Very annoyed.

  7. The skinny utilit are $79.99 online vs $59.99 in-store.

Review of the gemstone silk floral dress, reg price online vs $129.99 in-store. Select stores still doing 50% off.

    1. Gigi, have you reviewed the skinny utility pants? I think I have a pair from last summer (or the summer before) in green and I wonder if these fit the same. The sizing is definitely different this time around because the pair I have are 0/2/4/6 sizing and these are 25/26/27 sizing.

    2. shopalot - I haven't tried/reviewed the skinny utility yet. I own two pairs of last year's (review here, at bottom). Those ran 4, 6, 8 and I took a 6. I usually take 29 and am hoping these fit and aren't too skinny like last year's matchstick jeans and cords.

    3. Thanks, Gigi. I'll order two sizes and check them out before final sale starts. The pants get great reviews online and I really like the look of the gray ones.

  8. I picked up the field jacket in black - I wore my navy one all spring and kept wishing I had a black one when the navy didn't match my outfit. I have more use for spring/fall items so this will get a lot of use.

I also purchasd the zip back stripe dress ( I sized down in this one) and against my better final sale judgment am trying the pleated crepe shorts. I generally don't do shorts but I'm hoping based on some of the reviews that these might work for me.

    1. Anne - The Fab Life - I got the black field jacket, too. I think it will be as good a basic as the mossy brown one. I love the crepe shorts. They're poly, but they look so much more crisp than chinos that bunch up and look wrinkled. Hope they work out for you.

    2. Ladies I bought the black downtown field jacket as well! I was surprised to see it on promo and % off. I love my moss and navy ones and I love the chic look of the black.

  9. just got back from the store. they are still having 50% off and there are still tons of stuff not moving. i ended up getting the seersucker pencil skirt 69.99 and 50% off.. end up being $35. Has anyone seen/have pearl starburst necklace online for 89.99? if you can add any input, greatly appreciate it.
Also I am thinking about the field jacket in mossy brown... how does this jacket run? i am normally 2 in school boy blazer and most of JC coats. thanks!!!

    1. ladybug007, I wear a 2 in the schoolboy blazer and I bought the XS in the navy field jacket. There is not much room for layering for me; however, I have wide shoulders.

    2. Thanks Shopalot- i don't wear any thick sweaters so I think XS will be perfect. thanks for chiming in.

    3. ladybug007, if you are looking for a pearl starburst necklace with an extra 50% off.. as of yesterday the store in Aventura Mall, Fl had one on display. I didn't try it on but it looked nice:)

    4. I've seen the pearl starburst necklace; the store in montgomery mall, bethesda, maryland, had one about two weekends ago. I thought it was nice, but also kind of cheap-looking - kind of a forever 21 vibe? I didn't think it was worth the sale price plus 40 percent, so I didn't end up getting it.

    5. ladybug007- I have the field jacket in mossy brown & navy, but I took sz Small which gives more room in the arm & shoulder areas and allows for layering. I tried on the xs and it was tight. For reference, I wear size 2 in the Majesty Pea Coats & School boy blazers.

    6. thank you ladies for all your input!!!
I ended up getting the field jacket in mossy brown in xs. I have narrow shoulders and i don't wear many layers so I am hoping it will work out. I did end up getting the pearl starburst necklace at teh store for 84.99- 50% off. The necklace has a nice weight and it didn't look cheap to me but that can vary from people to people. thank you so much!!!

  10. Thank you for posting this, I did not get the email! I changed my email address a few months ago and some emails still go to my old account. I placed an order this morning and just called, and for the very first time, the JC rep just said "of course; I'd be happy to adjust that for you!" instead of the dreaded "as a one time courtesy..." Yay!

  11. I stopped by more store yesterday and today, they were running the 50% off sale. I was underwhelmed by a lot of the clothes but did pick up the Honeypie Perfect Shirt for $20, Ella Bow Ballets for $25 each (got the blush pink and orange color) and the Cleo loafers in red for $30 after discount. My store was full of linen sweaters and shorts as well as merino, none was marked down enough for me to get excited about it and it seemed like all the same colors they issue every summer so I passed. At this point I think I'm waiting for fall, I've been buying a lot of knit dresses from other retailers like YFB and James Perse for my warm weather staples.
