Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. 30%-50% off sale prices continue with code SALESALE. States that it's online only so maybe there's a better discount in store?

  4. The most recent code, GOSHOP, seems to be working sitewide on regular price items for 30% off. Shop now before the code ends at 11:59 PST tonite. I bit on a few things even though they're going to be at the Crewlet in 6 mo. (slaps knee)

  9. OT, but how do you clean your fabric shoes? I have the Marina espadrilles in flax, and got some dirt on them. I thought about using a gentle cleanser and a soft brush, but am not sure if that would ruin them or not.

  10. I was in store yesterday. Lots of skirts, sweaters and tees on sale but nothing that appealing. That said with the extra 40% and student discount I grabbed a bright orange Jackie cardigan for $27 and the silk maxi dress for $42. I might go to another store close by to see what deals they have.

  11. Clearance at the outlet was an extra 40% off. I finally got the polka dot popover in blue for $20 and this necklace http://factory.jcrew.com/womens-clothing/jewelry/necklaces/PRDOVR~A6675/A6675.jsp?color_name=fresh-bouquet for $12 w/ student discount. Also toothpick jeans were 60% off!

    1. It looks nice on you, Gigi. I know what you mean about J.Crew's dresses. The last time I bought a dress from them is when Marissa Webb was the creative director; the last fall collection she designed before leaving, that says a lot. All J.Crew has been producing are potato sack dresses. Rare do I like a dress, and if I do, its a collection pieces that's $300 and up. Ridic.

  13. Visited today. I got the soft pencil skirt in rosewood ($79 online vs. $49 in store). Plus it was 40% off and stackable with the student discount (at least the store I went to making it only $26). Great deal - totally had to bite.

  14. Just came back from the store: 30% off certain dresses and shorts.
I tried the embroidered floral racer dress in neon flamingo on my instagram inawonderland5.
They also had a new sleeveless striped long tankdress in nazy/cream and denimblue/ cream.

  15. Went to both a Factory and retail store today.

Factory store had great deals going on. Most items were 40 to 60% off plus the 25% off if you spend $100. I bought the punk floral sweater (I went with the smaller of my two sizes), navy espadrille wedge similar to the retail "Seville". I honestly couldn't tell the difference in quality (the retail version was lined in leather, not sure if the Factory version is) but for me the Factory version actually fit much better. I never could get the right fit in the retail version, even when they came out with the 1/2 sizes. I took my typical non JCrew shoe size in the Factory version (in other words, I didn't go up 1/2 size as a I typically do in J Crew shoes). I also purchased the tortoise crystal pendant necklace and back up white cotton button blouse. All items came to a little over $110 with all discounts. I tried on the punk floral swoop but the static cling was driving me crazy and didn't love the open back.

Now the retail store made me sad. This is the first time a long time that I almost completely bypassed the retail store during a visit to the mall. Honestly I don't think I would have gone in if I didn't need to visit a store right across the way. There is nothing I'm excited about and i'm sick of seeing the same sad items hanging out in the sales section. I rarely check the web site any more either. It used to be the first thing I would do in the morning, even before my coffee! I certainly hope they turn things around. Maybe for Fall.

  16. Has anyone seen a Mini Transport Crossbody in Colorblock in store? Saw it in the sale section early on and have been waiting for a pop back...

    1. Call a store and have them locate one for you! They will ship to your house and will honor the sale price + 40% off. I snagged the leather mini transport crossbody in pecan for STEAL because it happened to be on promo for $124.50 for the first couple days of the sale. With an extra 40% off it was only $78. I know the colorblock one was cheaper and they are def. on sale in store right now so give them a call.

    2. Just called and they are on the hunt! Thanks.

  17. I bought perforated Nora flats and Cleo loafers, which make a good alternative to sandals for the summer.

Elsewhere, I noticed that Lord & Taylor is selling a copy of the Scalloped Linen Jacket (item 81918) in robin's egg blue. The color plus the cut is just too much for me -- glad I have J Crew's original!

    1. Another "hey, you look familiar...."

Talbots knockoff of the peony tee. Pretty shameless copy-catting.
