J.Crew Updates With New Arrivlas & 25% Off Tees, Shorts, & Swim

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had a small update to its website (click here to view online). I actually did not even notice it until I got their email! ;)

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).

J.Crew is also offering 25% off Tees, Shorts, and Swim for the family with promotional code SUMMER. This offer expires May 9, 2013. The fine print includes:
Offer only valid on the purchase of items listed in the 25% Off Tees, Shorts & Swim assortment at jcrew.com and as advertised in J.Crew stores. Offer valid from May 7, 2014, 12:01am ET through May 9, 2014, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in Liquor Store or Ludlow Shops; in 769 Madison Avenue, Bloor Street or J.Crew Factory stores; at jcrewfactory.com; or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. In-store discount automatically applied at the register. To redeem online, enter code SUMMER in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
The 30-50% off promotion for sale merchandise has ended online. However, I am curious if stores will still be offering 40% off Final Sale in stores.

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. Oh my - the styling on the gauze maxiskirt is likely to deter sales...

But I love the Bantu frog print bikini though...

  2. There wasn't much I felt like I had to have with this rollout but I might take advantage of the swimsuit deal since there is a bikini top that comes in lots of pretty colors AND cup sizes AND doesn't have a skinny non-supportive strap. Bathing suit shopping can be a pain sometimes for those with a little extra going on up top.

  3. Perhaps I am a dum-dum, and I admit I haven't yet had my second cup of coffee, but I can't even tell what's new. It all looks the same.

  4. I'm waiting ever so patiently for a promo on the photo floral dress (mostly so I don't end up buying it and overnighting it for my college graduation on Saturday...LOL).

  5. I'm really interested in the linen tanks (both solid and stripes)... has anyone seen them in stores yet?

  6. I might be interested in a couple of things.....but I'll have to wait to see them in the store. I don't know why they even bother with those tiny pictures against the white background and no details at all in the "description" box. It's just frustrating! And I'll agree with cousy....what were they thinking on the styling of the gauze maxiskirt. Seriously!?

  7. I was hoping the roll-out would be slightly bigger, but its probably better for my wallet. Side note, for anyone interested in the stretch eyelet dress, I was able to buy it yesterday on sale for $65!! It was final sale, but I was so happy I waited to pick it up at a much better price point. Stores were doing 40% off on final sale items, and I am assuming that will be the rest of the week.

  11. Silver metallic Cleo loafers are now $89.99 less 40% in store. The bee/heart print shirt was in the sale section but no markdown stickers applied so who knows what the price is. Also saw the metallic linen slicker in the sale section - I think it was $279.99 less 40%?

    2. It was just in the new arrivals about two weeks ago, wasn't it? Wish the embroidered chambray tunic would get marked down. That's what I really want! :)

  12. The Jacquard Back-zip sweatshirt looks interesting. The description says 'slim fit'. It doesn't looks slim on the model, maybe a bit stiff. Anyone see this in-store?
I like the Scallop button shirt, too, and the Embroidered Tassel Chambray top. Although, I could do without the tassels.

    3. I can still see her last couple posts in Feedly, and she didn't mention anything. Her blog was taken down shortly after her last post - I clicked through to read comments and the blog was gone. I hope everything's ok. I also really enjoyed her blog.

  14. Just getting around to checking out the new stuff, and this thing is awful! If it looks like this on the model, what does it look like IRL? Totally sister-wife, and for $78? You've got to be kidding me:
