25% Off at J.Crew (select items, of course!)

"Thanks!" to  many of you, who shared the following email & promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering 25% off select regular merchandise and what looks to be like 25% off all Sale with promotional code SOGOOD. This offer expires May 15, 2014. The fine print includes:
Offer only valid on the purchase of styles marked "25% off with code SOGOOD" at jcrew.com from May 10, 2014, 12:01am ET through May 15, 2014, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in J.Crew or J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code SOGOOD in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
Not the best promo, but not the worst promo either. I have to say, I do enjoy seeing so many back to back offers from J.Crew.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. Thanks, Alexis. I received a similar email this morning but for card holders for 30% off with a one time use code. The fine print says it's only for styles that are marked "30% off with your exclusive code". I couldn't find any styles with this specific notation, so my hunch is that it's applicable to the 25% off items in the promo, but card holders get 30% with the unique code instead of the 25%.

    1. I got an e-mail that said, "Cardholders, something special (just for you) inside..." but the email was the same 25% offer that was on the site with no code for 30%. Go figure!

    2. I got the same as Silver Lining. I don't know why they are referencing cardholders in the email to me if I'm getting the standard promotion. And now that I know others are getting 30% off, it doesn't make me very pleased as a cardholder.

    3. I also got this same "special, but not really" promotional email. Is there a way for all cardholders to get 30% off?

    4. I'm in the special 25% cardholders group. It's not a cardholder special, dummies, if everybody gets the same dang durn discount. Not to mention that the email doesn't specify that you must use the JC card as a pay type.

Belongs in vent thread: Between legal and marketing, they come up with some of the lamest #$! emails.

    5. Wow, that sucks that JC didn't send the 30% off unique code to all cardholders. What gives, J Crew? I rarely use my J Crew card anymore. Maybe they are trying to entice me to use it? Who knows.

    6. It looks like the 30% code can be re-used. Here's the fine print -- "Exclusive code may not be used on more than five (5) separate orders."

  2. Morning! I got the 30% off in my email today… however its not working on ANY items. Anyone else having this problem?

  3. I used my J. Crew card as the payment type and thought I got 25% off using "SOGOOD". How is anyone getting 30% off?

  4. Another JCA posting info in yesterday's Seek thread, but I'll share what I saw as well:

In-store - 25% off chambray shirts, handbags, in-case jewelry, pima drop-shoulder tee & select ballet flats. Belts might be 25% off, too. 30% off dresses. Fluted skirt $79.50 promo vs $98 online. Not elgible for SOGOOD.

New review of the linen abstract flower sweater & collection leather perforated shorts.

  5. If any JCA spots the silk sweatshirt top item , in ivory size 4, please let me know ASAP! Still kicking myself for letting it slip away.

  6. This new promo included a few items I'd like, but took others off promo. If they'd kept one of the tees I was interested in on sale from the last promo, then I would have bit. As is, there just aren't enough items to make it to the free shipping limit. So, I will sit this promo out, too.

  7. I also got the "special jk lol not really" 25% off email this morning. Ordered the Tippi in Vivid Tangerine - it was on promo for $69.50 so it came to just over $60 with tax & shipping. I could have waited for a better promo but I have had an orange Tippi-shaped hole in my wardrobe for a while so I don't think I'll regret it. I've said it before but I am going to be devastated when the day comes that they decide to discontinue that sweater. It is perfect.

  8. I'll post this again, in case it works for anyone else. The 20% off swim coupon cards they put in the packages worked on all merchandise when I used it. It doesn't beat the 25%, but it was working on partner merchandise and full price merchandise.

    1. I used a swim coupon and everything in my cart was 20% off as well! I grabbed a couple things that weren't on promo like the Silk Stripe Sleeve Tee that I have been dying to try since I saw it with the paint splatter pants in the SS14 show last fall.

    2. That is great!! Did you get the tee and did you like it? I haven't noticed this reviewed by anyone yet. I bought the Fuji Instamax camera and some film for it, since I thought it was probably excluded from promotions.

Does anyone want to try it? I'm not sure you even need to buy swimwear with it. Here are a couple of codes, expiring May 31st:

      SWWGW7SGZ
      SWWHR5F23

    3. (Please post if you use the codes, thanks!)

    4. Hi! I have used "SWWGW7SGZ". I just tried it on a necklace and it worked! :) Thanks so much!
