J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here). The February catalog (click here to view) is finally up.

I am off to check out the latest arrivals...

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. Is this it? Gives new meaning to "mini rollout". I hear considerable demand from JCA's for something to buy, and JC is not offering much.

  2. I was hoping for more. A lot of swimwear that I liked (but don't need), but was hoping for spring-y tops and tees and tanks.

    1. Agree, I like the swimwear but that's about it. Not liking the prints this rollout. Also the new scallop dress says it hits below the knee...but is 36" long. Um, no.

  3. I like the sweatpants with the stripes down the legs -- very cute.

    1. I purchased those this past weekend and when I tried them on, I loved them. However, they are not a "long" pant and more to just below the ankle.

  4. Very disappointing. Literally not one thing went in my cart.

  5. And no promo-come on JCrew you can do better!

  6. So I guess its good that JC walked back Mickey's "we can't compete with designers" comments, and that the PR folks want us to understand that they are not lowering prices.

Otherwise, I would have been surprised by the $175 sneakers in the Crewcuts section. It wouldn't matter if I was as wealthy as Bill Gates: I would never in a million years by my daughters $175 sneakers.

  7. I didn't really notice any new arrivals. I gave up looking after a quick scan.

I have some new reviews here. The flower-sleeve sweater, linen c'est la vie tee, cutout floral sweatshirt & collection cashmere sweatshirt

  8. i did a quick look at JCrew and saw a few things but loved what factory has and added a bunch of stuff to my wishlist for everyone in my family! I found something for me (lots), my husband and all of my boys.

  9. So looks like embellished shirts are still a thing at JC...

Love the pretty swim collection and the Collection wool-silk dress in tile medallion. That's about it.

    1. Agreed that the tile medallion dress is pretty - maybe the best thing in the rollout. Would love a review!

  10. Nothing! I'm over the jeweled collared shirts (long, short, sleeveless --- blah), and while happy to see a longer skirt that is not pencil, this pleated skirt seems very unflattering and the dresses with the big slit at the neckline I'm over as well. Maybe late March I'll see something.

  11. Not impressed. I'm hoping for an extra % off sale to buy something and use some gift cards. Or I may jump over to Factory and see what I can do.

  14. Can anyone comment on the Teddie Convertible Hobo? With rewards cards coming out and it being on sale its tempting! I need to replace my 3 year old everyday J. Crew purse and thought this crossbody might work.

    1. I own it, loved it at first until the short strap began to crack in many areas...looks really cheap. They said I can return for a new one but I imagine it's going to happen again. They also told me I'm not the first to experience this. Disappointing because it's really cute

  15. Just returned from my B&M. A number of items I purchased on promo last week were in the final sale section - cheaper and with an additional 30% off. Of course I took the bait and bought them, but now I'll need to make a return trip this weekend to return all my original purchases. Tired of this pricing game JCrew!

    1. what items were new to the final sale section?

    2. Campbell capri in wave print 69.99, linen paneled tee, 34.99 , jeweled tuxedo tank 59.99, merino tipped side panel v-nec ksweater , 59.99, embroidered tunic 69.99, piped andie chino, peasant top flower patch print blouse, hugo guinness nobody's perfect tee. Other things too that I can't remember. Some shoes. Those prices and then 30% off.

    3. Seriously? That is just nuts. Makes me wonder what is coming next.

    4. So let me get this straight... an item (the wave print capri for example) is 50% off two weeks after it is rolled out? Ooookay.

    5. Whaaaat? What have they been drinking? I guess I am the only one who bought the Campbell fp and was already happy with the price adjustment from the 25% off promo...

    6. The moonglow paisley silk top as well as the paisley linen tee marked down also.

    7. I know...it's so frustrating! Maybe it's their new strategy avoid having 1700 items sitting in women's final sale for perpetuity.

    8. I visited my B&M to do a return. Purchased the Pointed Facets Necklace, which is the Faceted Dots Necklace a5882 online, since all full price jewelry was 25% off. They also gave me a price adjustment on the Pave Stick Earrings I purchased on 2/1. As mentioned by NOVA Mommy lots of recent arrivals on sale with 30% off. They did also have quite a number of Darby's on sale different colors and sizes. Mnnies were same promo price as online, except the Beechwood color which was $59.99 with 30% off, all button downs were 25 off, ballet flats 25% off. This was Cherry Creek, CO store.

  16. I like the striped Tshirts. I know they are just striped Tshirts, and are overpriced. But I like them.

  18. I'm not enthralled by anything at J. Crew right now. I'm bored of all the bling. I think they should go in a more minimalist direction and work on the cuts and shapes of their clothes, maybe more texture, as opposed to all the embellishment and moroccan inspired this and that they've been doing. After seeing the fall NYFW photos, I feel like they are still off the rails somewhat in their style direction. They don't seem to know what real women want to wear.

    1. I completely agree. J Crew seems more trendy, less preppy/classic. And nothing's machine-washable! I've been spending more of my money at Madewell these days...

      Delete
    2. THIS. I want pieces that can be worn without pattern mixing, neutral pieces that are still interesting, just more chic overall.

    3. I made my first ever Madewell purchase yesterday, it may end up being my go to store for a while.

    4. I completely agree about Madewell. I find their clothing much more wearable for day to day, and the prices are more reasonable, too. I've picked up several items over the past couple of months, and have been very pleased with all of them. There is also an Extra 30% Off Sale styles at Madewell until 2.17.14. The promo-priced items also receive the discount, and I've updated the Madewell Promo-Priced items list. See It Here.

    5. The Perfect Chambray Ex-Boyfriend Shirt in Harvest Wash is one of my recent purchases, and I wear it on a regular basis. Not only is it made very well, but it's comfortable, too. I have seen it popback in different sizes on most days, so if you're interested in it, keep checking back early mornings to see if your size shows up.

    6. One more thing...shipping is free on all orders at Madewell until 2.24.14.

  19. I thought that the stripe knit shift dress (A3446) was cute until I saw that damn zipper in the back. Come on, a zipper is just not even necessary on that shape!

  20. Went to b&m today for returns. 25% off outerwear. I got the field jacket for $111.

  21. OT but if you have been following NY Fashion Week, the reviews are starting to come in for J. Crew:

  22. Ouch. Fall 2014 is not looking good. The colors are so unflattering. Won't be getting on the 'Goucho' pants trend any time soon either. I think my pocket book will finally get a break. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You are so right. And since I did the "goucho" pant thing the 1st time around (giving away my age) I'm excused from doing it again. Didn't like Fall 2014 at all.

  23. Fall 2014 is a hot mess. What's up with the big fuzzy sweaters? What is that furry, HUGE and many colored thing that hangs from the models? Is that a scarf? Yikes! I agree with Cerebral, my wallet will be getting a break.

  24. Outstanding article! I want people to know just how good this information is in your article. Your views are much like my own concerning this subject. It may be very beneficial for me. Ecosusi
