  1. I'm not loving much in this little roll-out. I wishlisted the velvet tee, though.

  6. I wanted the fair isle sweater (pictured above) from retail last year but waited too long, so I'm very happy to see its return. Nothing else for me this round. I had been hoping for a machine washable, less expensive rendition of the sweater leggings, but I guess a sale on the retail version is the best I'm going to get.

  7. The dress and pencil skirt in the "vibrant current" print are very pretty but even on sale I'm not sure I want to buy light-weight unlined cotton pieces this time of year. I tried the skirt in "navy geo" a few months ago and just felt like the mat would be really prone to wrinkling and needed a lining!

  8. This is a great promo to stock up on some gifts. I ordered two men's sweaters for $30 each, a men's pea coat for $90 and the henley hoody in parisian blue for myself -- looks like a fun cozy lounge piece.

That stackable promotion is really pretty good.

    1. Oh, meant to say I'm not loving a lot from this rollout either. Also agree that the items are very resort/spring for this time of year.

  10. I have from retail both of the things I would have been interested in: the pear sweater and the fair isle pictured in the post. I did order the tipped shirt because I missed out on the silk retail version. This one is poly, has anyone seen it in person? Then I also threw in some festive holiday bow tights to get the extra discount!

  11. I kinda like the pear sweater and the velvet tee.

  12. There are more items in store that aren't online. There is a black embellished Charley that is really pretty (but expensive at $108, I think, maybe $110), a factory version of the hot pink/navy windowpane blouse (it is pretty thin but pretty), and possibly a couple others.

I bought the bow print top. I am not a huge fan of poly, but this is a really nice, thick, drapey crepe that is much nicer than what is usually used for factory poly tops.

  13. J.CrewJD - Good to hear on the bow print job. I put that on my wishlist. Poly isn't always ideal, but snagged silk is worse.

    1. You are so right, gigi. I passed on the retail version bc the silk was so flimsy!

  14. I would echo others and say I'm underwhelmed with this rollout - hopefully can get up to the store to check other things out, as I'd be interested in that pink windowpane blouse. I also like the metallic heart tee- I don't have any of the past sweaters/tees in this print. Aside from that...I don't have a huge wishlist from this rollout which I guess is a good thing!

    1. The pink windowpane blouse was online this morning. The link is not to the correct image, though and it is the french hen blouse that shows on the main page. However, when you click on it, you will see the windowpane blouse instead.

    2. thanks Stephanie! I didn't even click on the birds blouse because I thought I had already seen it. :)

    3. No worries! Lots of oddities came online with the new roll-out this morning. For some reason it wanted me to ship to Canada! :)

  15. A tipped blouse similar to the one on A Bigger Closet blog was in the rollout. I liked that outfit, so was happy to see I could get a version of this top. Added that plus the bow print blouse. Unfortunately, added things in multiple sizes as it's never clear what size I am at J.Crew or Factory. I used to be able to toss in Size M or Size 8 in whatever I was buying into an online cart. I've ended up with a lot of ill-fitting items that I've had to re-buy or exchange for smaller sizes (if the smaller sizes are still available). Sigh! 16. In a word, meh. I was hoping a Factory version of last year's merino Fair Isle leggings would come out.

In retail news, new markdowns - funny birds tee $34.99, stripes & dots tee $34.99, classic rinse matchsticks $79.99 (watch out on these, JCAs are reporting they fall apart), matchstick cords $59.99, merino scarf sweater (parsley) $89.99 (grey one is still FP), textured-stripe sweater in both colorways (didn't catch the price) - these prices were all before 40% off that's still in effect.

    1. Oh, also the bar-stripe tee in grey/navy was back in a full size run (at FP). Online, it looks like they're going to release an ivory/gold stripe version which you can see if you search item #04325.

    2. I was able to nab the gold stripe last wk when it accidentally showed up as part of the new arrivals! Just contacted cs. It already shipped Saturday.

  18. I was in my B&M Factory store yesterday and they were working on putting out the new merchandise. There was a ton of newer stuff in their sale section (more than online). I picked myself up a few items I've had my eye on.

  20. Hoping for some help! Does anyone know how the Factory Patch Pocket Popover compares to the Retail Merino Pocket Tunic? I love my retail version in garnet, but also like some of the colors of the factory version. If anyone has any thoughts, ideas or opinions on the two, I would love to hear them! : )

    1. The Factory Patch Pocket Popover is the factory version of the retail Collection Cashmere Pocket Tunic. The styles are nearly exact. It is not very similar to the retail Merino Pocket Tunic. I ordered the Factory Patch Pocket Sweater to try and I didn't like the knit blend that much. It was a blend of viscose/nylon/wool maybe? It was fine but the cashmere one was so much nicer.

If I were going to compare them side by side (the two you asked about, taking the cashmere one out of the mix), I'd say the Factory Patch Pocket Sweater has a higher neckline than the merino pocket tunic, with a wide neck band, is not as straight a silhouette, is thicker but not super thick, the pockets are a bit more side-entry as opposed to the slant entry on the retail merino pocket tunic.

    2. Also the retail merino pocket tunic has a tailored vibe to it, whereas the factory patch pocket sweater has a relaxed slouchy vibe.

    3. Wow! Thank you to cate and LekkerNewYorker! Your information and details are a huge help- I was hoping that the two were very similar. Although the Factory sweater sounds interesting in its own right, it's not what I am after for now (at least not until a better sale : ) You guys are totally awesome and I so much appreciate your help!!!

  21. I have it and I like it. However, it's really not like the Merino Tunic. It's thicker, with a higher neckline and not as long. It's a dfferemt feeling altogether. But, it's nice.

  22. I placed an order and used the earlybird promo - windowpane blouse, bow top and the metallic heart tee...I saw a pair of gold sequin pumps on Instagram last night that are apparently at the Factory store...will be curious to see these IRL and if they pop up online...
