JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

  4. Was struggling with how to wear my hothouse floral skirt (http://www.polyvore.com/crew_collection_skirt_in_hothouse/thing?id=68106803) this summer without it looking too serious because it sits so high on my waist. Today at a boutique by my house I found a cute little mint crop top that shows just about a 1/2 inch of skin at the waist (online here: http://www.sugarlipsseamless.com/seamless-ribbed-cropped-tank.html), and it seems so young and flirty! I'm really pleased with it but am also planning on trying it with the Carrie cami in the bright poppy which should be arriving in the mail any day now.

I think the crop top look could also work well with the shoe sketch skirt or a similarly silky full or a-line skirt, I feel like it neutralizes the seriousness of those pieces and makes them wearable in more situations! Just thought I'd share my little discovery in case anyone else is struggling with these pieces.
