Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I went to the Vancouver store looking to buy the Wallace & Barnes shetland crew neck sweater which I saw was on sale online. When I got to the store, I was disappointed to see it was still at regular price. Just as I was about to ask the clerk who usually helps me about the price, he told me it was on sale online, so they would match the price.

Online: regular $128, on sale to $89, plus 40% off.
In store: regular $148(!). on sale $89, plus 50% off. Yes, 50%.

  2. Few winter items left at the Houston-Galleria at extra 50% off. I purchased the last tippi cat sweater at 37.00, the polka dot brocade shirt also 37.00. I came out on top!! I also got a cashmere sweater Burgundy/lilac from like $250 to $50 but don't know the name/style

  3. Both Bellevue Square & UVillage stores had a small sale section. There were a few more items at UVillage, among them quite a few wool schoolboy blazers. Both stores also had a handful of pink and red excursion vests.

    2. The sale section was very picked over and only large sizes left, mostly. They had some new stock which I will be reviewing shortly. I saw a new linen blazer in 2 colours which I liked a lot, the new print skirts, the heart print shirt in silk.

The regular B&M had 50% off sale items. Madewell had 30% off sale stock, but also a very small section. A lot of shoes & Archive boots were on sale. New arrivals will be in shortly (I believe either today or tomorrow). HTH

  4. Even with gigi's post on overshopping still fresh in my mind, I still went crazy this morning. But I blame technology. I was completely sane and happy purchasing the purl-stitch cashmere snood on pop-back when the darn J.Crew server wouldn't let me check out.
I then proceded to get super flustered and it all went to h-e-double hockey sticks. I panicked, my heart starting racing, I swore at my poor macbook, then I ran like mad to the home desktop pc where I neurotically and maniacally speed through checkout.
After all was said and done, I ended up jittery, like I had downed to many caffeine drinks (which I cannot consume). A little part of me thinks, "what is wrong with me?" but a larger, more dominant part is squealing with joy and nervously awaiting the shipping confirmation (all appendages crossed). Of course now that I'm coming down I remember that I forgot all about ebates...smh

    1. Lol! I saw that snood and considered it but decided I didn't want/need it that much and someone else probably wanted it a lot. How did I know! Hopefully it ships for you! :-) I didn't buy anything but that doesn't stop me from looking at the #$(*&#$ website at 5:30am just in case, ugh!

    2. lol. Thanks cate. You may have just stopped my obsessing over this. I need to stop. I cannot count the number of stores that I have called in search of this. SAs always think I'm refrring to the other cashmere snood. sigh. I'm going to try to not constantly think about it until I get it. Maybe I'll head to the gym to burn off some of this nervous energy.

    3. Look at it this way, it's very possible that you will fall in love with something for spring that will make you forget all about winter stuff. But I think it will ship. Good luck!

    4. Hope it ships. That scarf has extraordinary powers. Received it as a gift from DH last Xmas & it has made my daily 8 block walk to work bearable during last week's subzero weather. Would anyone know if this came in black? I want another one.

  6. Went to the Madison avenue location to pick up a birthday gift for my mom and the new catalogue for me. One problem, was told they didn't have the catalogue. Why do some stores have it and others do not!?! They should all have it or none have it! So disappointing when I know my friend got one at her store and I can't. Oh J Crew why do you torture us with your games!

  10. Went to the outlet. They had mang tees that were dupes of tees that we're at te b&m last spring. They had spindrift tees in pink, emerald and yellow but not navy. They had color block stripe tees with bright colors at the shoulder area in citron, pink and blue. They had another color blck stripe tee that I have seen on the factory site. They had crystal Venus flytrap necklaces in clear, orange and navy, crystal ones had stones that were larger than the navy and the orange ones. They had orange stud earrings that are similar to te Kate pade gum drop studs, the stones are cut and not totally opaque. They had factory Martina's in black and that tan color. Many other things, but can not recall right now.

  11. I finally made it to a b&m yesterday but the sale section was pretty much empty and the store was a bit bare. The prices were so low but there was nothing really left, I didn't buy anything except for dh. I was surprised to see the black leather iphone cases for $5 after the discount. They didn't have the new catalogue either, looking forward to seeing it.

  12. My sequin polka dot tee finally arrived today (from Oregon) and I LOVE it! I especially love that I paid $25 for it (plus shipping, of course). I'm planning to wear it tomorrow with the tiny dots capris. Yes, I'm copying JC. :) I don't have a white button up, so I'm wearing a black cardi instead.

    1. That's awesome. I think I gave you the heads up about those, right? I have the same shirt in the same size and I can wear it for going out or for work.
