Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new WINTER/SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  3. Both the Century City and Santa Monica 3rd St. Promenade stores still have the additional 40% off sale items in stores. I am visiting the Desert Hills J Crew Outlet this weekend so I'll update you guys after that (with pics)!

    Happy Shopping!

  4. If anyone sees any of the new spring items on sale such as the
Swing sweater or Silk Marlice popover, can you please post. Thanks :)

  5. Decent sale update this morning; the Natasha blouse in the wildcat print is marked down, so I bit. I've wanted it since the first day I saw it in-store. The long-sleeved wildcat blouse is also back in a 6 and a 12; I won't fit properly into either so I dumped it at the last minute. Neither item shows up as final sale. HTHs someone.

  6. I will be visiting the collection store on Lincoln Road in South Beach this weekend. Looking forward to trying some things on in-store, it's been months since I was able to do that.

  7. xoxo I'm looking forward to your thoughts on what you see there. Have fun in South Beach!

  8. Wondering when we will see a FP %-off promo (is that a contradiction in terms?). That Ashbury floral print is calling my name, and I'm still hoping someday the double-serge wool skirts will come down in price...they are workhorses for me. I can't believe how much I wear them. Even at FP they are worth buying, but I love them even more on sale! :D

  9. i'm waiting for a promo sale online... i'm going to treat myself to a few cute things when there is one. looking forward to hearing what everyone else finds in stores though! :)

  10. If anyone sees the gingham perfect shirt in neon yellow and a 4 or 6, please post! I would love this for my spring wardrobe. Last I heard, the shirt was in the sale section. TIA!

  11. I bit on the wildcat Natasha thanks to Elaine's post. I love animal prints and I find any print that mixes black with tans/browns to be super versatile. Also ordered my 3rd Jenna's v-neck cardigan, in the heather graphite. Already have black and pale pink, love both. $35 is slightly steep considering I picked up the ones I have in-store for ~$25 each, but oh well.

  12. I went to do some returns yesterday. If anybody is interested I saw red wool cafe capri in Paramus NJ store in size 2. They were 89.99 before 40% off. In Hackensack NJ store I also saw charcoal no2 pencil in size 2 at 79.99 also before 40% off. That was late last night so there is a good chance they still have it. hth someone.

  13. I'm probably dropping by my store tonight and will report. I'm hoping our next online promo is 40% off sale with a lower min for shipping. They will need to clear out a lot of inventory before new arrivals come at the end of the month so I'm hoping we see what we did years past. I haven't ordered because last year I did so and then the next day 40% off hit! Plus there isn't anything I MUST have.

I have really enjoyed the madewell sale though! The $100 free ship min and 30% off is great. On top of that I don't have a madewell in my state so Im not charged sales tax.

  14. Xoxo, have fun!

I think I'll take a peek. Nothing I'm dying for but at least I'll say hi to my pses

  15. Elaine and Lawyerette - I bit on the Natasha as well - had been eyeballing it and decided it was now or never!

I am also really interested in a review of the swing sweater!

  17. I HAD the solid Natasha top. Wore it twice and the raw edges were becoming a mess. Just an FYI. I am sure it won't bother others but it did me. I also had trouble getting the blouses neckline to lay right. It is long and flaps open and I had to keep pressing it to try and get it right. Just could not get a right balance between too many buttons undone and too many buttoned up if that make sense!

I have the swing sweater and am very happy with it. I am hoping to get it at a sale price but will keep it even at full price. The color is a white and gray marble. You do have to wear a cami under it because of the size of knit. I took my regular size and it has a fit like on the model in the book.

  19. I needed a pick-me up this morning so I bit on a few fs items that I am pretty sure about (like the cafe capris in camel) or aren't a big risk in term of price (picked up the factory pluma necklace. For $27 I am fine with factory quality). Also got a pair of toothpicks cords in snowy thistle because my daughter has the Rileys in this color and each time that she wears them I think that they are super cute and I would like to have a pair myself. I am living in cords right now (since winter is finally here) and these will give my champagne ones a break. I am also fine with the price ($35) since there is still plenty of time to wear them.

    1. I can't wear toothpick and would love the matchstick or boot cut in snowy thistle. I got them in the muslin but they aren't the same. I did buy the wildcat Natasha, a pair of grey matchstick cords and trying the double rope bracelet.

  21. OT: Is Madewell available in the UK just a J. Crew was (and still is) on Net-a-Porter?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Would somebody please let me know if b&m j crew stores will be offering 30% of sale tomorrow, Saturday 21st? Thanks in advance!

  23. Thanks Min! I love the look on the model - do you think it would fit okay on someone gusty?

  24. I went earlier this week (Tuesday, to be exact) to the Cherry Creek Denver store and everything was an additional 40% off the sale price. They'll be closed at that location this weekend for remodeling, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it but I got: The striped Wynter V-neck sweater in navy/acorn(I'm a small but I bought a medium b/c that was all they had) and the trapper hat in heather graphite, which has been sold out online for some time. I also bought a couple tortoise hair clips which were 25% off if you bought two or more. I'm probably done now for winter as I am all set for the snow that is coming down in Chicago! Those items probably weren't selling in Denver b/c it's nearly 60 degrees there.

I think it would look good because it is a looser fitting top, but it is hard for me to tell seeing that I do not have that problem at all...

    ReplyDelete
  26. I stopped by while at the mall doing a return to another store...still 40% off the very reduced prices but still nothing tempting. They said new arrivals on Monday - so guess I'll have to stop by again!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lisa -
I saw the Saturday pants, lots of the black and a few of the blue, and they were all xs or xl. Call 804-364-9561. Good Luck! They are 40% off there too!

  28. Review of the Crosstown Circle Skirt on my blog megancrewreviews.blogspot.com

The summary: I should have purchased my flair skirt size but other than that I LOVE it.

  29. kikki cee - I don't know whether Madewell is on net a porter or not, but they do have quite a few things on shopbop, and I'm pretty sure they ship internationally. fwiw, i've been really pleased with the quality of all my madewell pieces, and I've found the sizing on par with JC. HTH! :)

No visit this weekend, but I will be traveling to NYC for my first time this week for a work trip, and will def visit a Madewell (none near me) and will likely find my way to a JC at some point.... ;) Very excited! Any recs appreciated - my emails in my profile! I am taking one personal day while I'm there, so it's not all business. yay!

  30. I'm just not intrigued by anything right now but am looking forward to hearing others' reviews and finds!

  31. Thanks Min! And when I reread my post, I saw I wrote "gusty", not "busty"! Insert your own joke! My goodness - mind working faster than fingers....

  32. Extra 30 FS is over online. There was a decent update this morning and I see a couple of low-risk items I've been trolling for, but it is so annoying that there are such huge price discrepancies vs. in store! The thin tortoise Lulu Frost bangle I picked up in store for $12 is $39.99 online. Really?

I will brave the 6 inches of snow we got here in Chicago to make a couple returns and see what's new in store. I've gotten lucky on a few great items in the sale section that must have been catalog returns to the store, so sometimes it's worth another look.

    Happy shopping!

  33. It's been a couple of days but the Burlingon, MA store had quite a few of the Cafe Capri Harvest Tweed pants in the Olive Mint. They were sizes 4 and up. The price was in the $50's but there was the additioanl 40% off. They are really amazing in person.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm not venturing out in the snow, but if anyone knows if the %off is still going on in stores, I might change my mind :)

  35. Savvyshopper: extra 40% still on here in Chicago area.

  36. I thank everybody who has responded to my desperate pleas to find Saturday pants in my size! I was wondering, does anybody know if J. Crew does a ship-from-store? I doubt they do, but that's looking like the only way I'm going to get ahold of those pants at this point. :/

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi Lisa, Yes, call the store. They will charge you for shipping on sale items, but they will send it to you!

    ReplyDelete
  38. i am also looking for the Saturday Pant in any color in sz small except for navy. they're so perfect for sitting at my desk pretending to work on my dissertation.

    also, @ruffles

did you go to michigan or north ave? what did the sales look like?
do you remember what the shoes they had? thanks so much!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Does anyone own the Quoddy suede chukka boots? If so, did yours come with a storage bag? I received a popback that I suspect may be used or from a sample sale. They were in a generic J.Crew box with no tags or storage bag. I don't see any dirt or wear on the soles, but I'm still a little concerned that they aren't new, as my Quoddy ring boots were in a Quoddy box with a storage bag.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @suilove, I was at Michigan Ave yesterday and they still had 40% off. Sorry, I didn't pay much attention to the shoes this time but I did notice a few boxes.

  41. After having my PS do a search for the Saturday pant to no avail, I called about 35 stores myself throughout the country to try and find some (Suzy I called the number you gave me and they were completely sold out :( ). Closest I was able to find to what I wanted was XS in black in Pennsylvania. Ended up placing an order after not finding anything else. They waived the shipping and honored the 40% off. Nabbed them for $25 :)

Still on the look for heather midnight, so if anybody sees them in that color in a sale section somewhere, keep me posted!

  42. Popped in to return my glen plaid bow pencil skirt (hadn't worn it in almost 30 days, so figured it wasn't going to work for me). The sale section at my store is absolutely pitiful. It's so empty they have removed the bars from the double rack sections in an attempt to make it look fuller. Everything left is XS or XL. Sad...

  43. Sunday am sale section updated to 1100 for women.

  44. In case anyone is looking, the Emeryville, CA store had the glimmer long sleeve tee in khaki in XS, S, M and L. Two of each size, except one in size L. They also had 4 or 5 of the deck stripe boater tees (irl pics). I really like the cotton on that one.

The other day the Walnut Creek store had the polka dot blouson dress in size 16. Important as I believe this size has been cut out of many J Crew offerings in the past year or two.

  45. Lisa,

Your Saturday pants are online right now, but they are $50.

  46. The Miami Collection store on Lincoln Road was still 40% off sale but there wasn't a lot on the racks and it seemed like mostly one-offs. The ipad and iphone covers were reduced and 40% off, husband picked up a red ipad cover for $11. Ashbury floral cover was quite pretty and on sale but I don't have an ipad myself. There were several of the glitter iphone covers but they were shedding a bit. Also saw some glitter gold Mona heels and red flats but forgot to check the size.

I do remember there were lots of vintage and painter tees on sale. Unfortunately I was with my husband so I didn't want to spend a lot of time going through the sale items to take mental notes as I'm not much of a sale shopper. As it was I tried on more than a dozen things and then hit Madewell two doors down as well.

  47. @kms423 --

Thanks so much! Just called my store and had them place an order for me.

Crossing my fingers it won't get cancelled again!

    ReplyDelete
  48. ...Just kidding. Even though the size appears online they are completely wiped out of inventory for them. :(

  49. Looking for black
Emmett ankle boots in size 7. Has anyone seen any in the stores? They did one of those WWFIFYs that returned a negative response in a suspiciously short amount of time. Thanks in advance.

  50. magistra- I looked for the same thing, same size last week and they found 2 pairs but she said they were being shipped back to warehouse so I'd have to look for them online.
