Madewell Email: Our sale just got better...(new styles added + free shipping)

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the latest email from Madewell this morning.

Madewell added new styles to their Sale section (click here to shop online). The only drawback: items are Final Sale. Yuck. :(

Madewell is also offering free shipping on all orders (no min!) until December 19, 2011. This offer is applied automatically at checkout. Great time to check them out with free shipping!

Will you be checking out Madewell? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)

  1. Just posted a few reviews of Madewell final sale items over on the reviews thread. I'm wearing the smokeshadow sweatshirt tunic right now and it's sooo cozy.

  2. Sooo tempted to get the Betty Tea dress. That is so freaking cute, but I worry about the drop waist-esque pleats. Also, the measurements I got from CS seem a little odd:

    Size 4 waist: 27" Chest: 38.5"
    Size 6 waist: 28" Chest: 39.5"

Although, if the waist is elastic, then it makes sense...

  3. JCrewJD, I have reviewed that dress on my blog. It's is VERY cute.

Also noticed the alexa chung for madewell risky business striped shirt in the store. The silk is absolutely gorgeous!

  5. Madewell stuff just doesn't work for me. Seems cheap or something. Do they have an actual catalog?

  6. Rose, I had been debating on the risky business shirt after seeing Alexa wearing it in an interview. You tipped me over and I just ordered it. I already have the Cora and have been wearing it constantly.

I am a big fan of their shirts, scarves and shoes right now. A lot of what they sell isn't my style, but the items I have purchased in the last year have totally lived up to their name. My Madewell purchases see a ton of use and are holding up better and look nicer than their J Crew counterparts, so I certainly wouldn't say they were cheap.

That being said, I have seen us much variation with their items quality as J Crew.

  7. The American Observer, the Madewell photos are not great on the website, but the fabrics are much better quality than I've seen at J. Crew.

kitsmommy, I didn't mean to be an enabler, but that shirt was so beautiful looking, I had to share.

  8. Review of the Madewell Silk Speakeasy Dress over on the reviews thread.

FYI, about the Betty Tea Dress and many others from Madewell with a similar silhouette, I find the busts are often very generous. That is why your measurements, J.CrewJD, did not surprise me. This is one of the reasons I really like Madewell, but it doesn't work for everyone.

    HTH!
