Sneak Peek: What's to Come this Fall {thanks Slastena!}

A big "thanks!" to Slastena (check out her "Little Fall Sneak Peek for You" post from her {amazing} About All and Nothing at All blog) who shared some more sneak peeks with us. {yey!} There is a little something for everyone in this batch of photos! Just click on any of the images to view them larger.

I was ready for Fall with the weather getting a bit cooler this past weekend (and all the rain, oh the rain!). Now I can't wait for Fall with all the new arrivals slated to come.

What are your thoughts? Has your opinion on the upcoming line changed? Are you looking forward to the upcoming Collection?

  1. Ohhhh, that looks like a new color in the Hacking Jacket! I was thinking about the purple but now I think I might wait and see what new colors the next rollout brings :).

  3. Speaking of new colors on the wool jackets, and maybe this has already been discussed on this blog and I missed it, but did anyone else notice that the schoolboy blazer is now offered in a "maraschino cherry" color instead of the "decadant red"... I wonder what the difference is? Odd.
Loving the colors of the fall jackets this year!

  4. I always look forward to seeing blazers! I've yet to get one from J.Crew. Maybe, this is my year...

  5. I am in LOVE with the color on the Hacking Jacket! Sounds like from the articles I have been reading lately that Drexler is finally realizing what a mistake he made getting away from the classic pieces and going too trendy. Hopefully they will steer back to a proper course this year. Can't wait to see what else they have in store for us.

  6. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fall clothing. It is my weakness and Jcrew has typically done a great job with Fall. As mentioned by others above that jacket caught my eye! If only I could live in a climate that wasn't summer 9 months out the year!

  7. I purchased the veridian pencil (lovely, btw!) and now I am anxiously awaiting the shipment of my caramel double cloth trench coat. Now if the weather just weren't in the 90s...

    Thanks for the pictures, Slastena!

  9. Maybe this was already discussed somewhere, but where do we think this catalogue was shot? With the onion domes in the background of that one picture, I'm guessing Istanbul or St. Petersburg? I love when they go on-location.

  11. @ Lindsey B : I too noticed the color switcheroo on the red schoolboy blazer! Is it just a name change or a completely different colorway? Hmmmm... another JC mystery!! LOL. ;o) !

  12. Totally OT, but I have two Madewell 10% off + FS codes that I will not be using. If you are interested please email me at LilPeanutMC@gmail.com. The codes expire on Wednesday.

  13. I went to my J.Crew today and they were putting out the new arrivals. There was a new blush colored tweed pencil skirt. It looked rather thick and reminded me of the Wool Tweed Oona Skirt (which I found to be too bulky and not figure flattering) so I didn't even bother to try it on. I did try a new brownish plaid pencil skirt that has a small faux pocket with a button on it just under the top left side of the waistband. It was very cute and reminds me a lot of *old J.Crew*. The skirt was lined and priced at $138.

The Hacking jacket had not been unpacked yet so unfortunately I didn't get to try it on, but I did try on the Caramel schoolboy blazer, and it will be a definite pass for me, even on sale...I am not a fan of this year's version at all.

I also finally got the chance to try on the Leopard Tippi sweater and love it. I'll definitely be getting that one eventually. The store did have a small sale section, but seemed to basically be filled with tanks and tees, plus a few of the Ikat perfect shirts.

  14. Has anyone else noticed that there is an obvious crystal missing out of the front of the Crystal Mosaic Bracelet, item 51490, in the photo online??

  15. Are we expecting new arrivals online this week?? I'm ready for some new eye candy.

  18. MegCrew,

Like your post. I am the opposite. I wish I could live in a climate that was warm 12 months of the year instead of only about 8 months! I would love to give all my heavy sweaters away and never use one again:) :)

  19. I am in such a dilemma. The hacking jacket gets to my B&M tomorrow and they are holding the green double surge pencil skirt for me. I don't know if I should wait to use me 20% off for the newest arrivals on Thursday. Ahhh...I wish we could use the 20% off more than once. Has anyone noticed any special promotions in the B&M's. Such as % off jackets or sweaters...etc? Help!

  20. Just hope the weather gets cooler soon. ;-)
