J.Crew Offers Free Shipping on $150+

"Thanks!" to so many of you, including Tammy (in this post), as well as Gigiofca (in this post), who let us know about the following offer.

J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code BEACHY. This offer expires Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Is it just me, or was anyone else expecting another type of promotion besides free shipping?

Were you expecting a different promotion today? Will you be using the BEACHY free shipping offer? If so, please share! :)

  1. Blah. I was hoping for a 40% off promo soon...

  3. This makes my wallet very happy.

They did the same thing last year with a discount only coming around mid month. It's a good way to encourage their customers to visit sales elsewhere. LOL

  4. Ugh, as much as I appreciate the free shipping, I am disappointed like the other gals. I was hoping for some discount off their full-price items that would incent me to buy instead of watching my cart and sitting on my hands! But like ABC mentioned, this "good deal" lag has lent me looking outside the JC/Anthro shopping bubble.

I was especially hoping for a discount on full priced shoes:)

  6. Has anybody tried the Pastille Tweed skirt? Does it run TTS? I should probably order it now while I can get free shipping so I have a feel for it before it inevitably goes straight to final sale.....

  8. It's completely useless, since we already have a free shipping code for $100+ orders. :)

I shopped in the store instead -- 30% off sale items. YAY!

  9. Yeah, the sale sections are bursting online and in stores. I was hoping for an extra percent off sale items to clear things out for fall.

  10. Barbabelle -- I posted a review with pics of the Pastille Tweed skirt here. Very pretty skirt, ran TTS (for their pencil skirts) for me.

  13. Blah indeed! Where is an additional percent off? I'm not buying final sale JC so if you want me to purchase I need an incentive; %off Full Price items, PLEASE!

  14. This happened last summer, when things finally went to sale, only to be final sale online, and then in store they kept doing 30% so people who shop online got burned super bad.

  15. oh, ps I am one who gets burned. So i don't really shop much; breaks my heart when I hear I would be paying 30-40% more than an in store shopper

  16. Free shipping on $150 is an insult; I don't know of any other company that requires a purchase of $150 for free shipping. Add that to final sale and you have to wonder who is giving any business to JCrew. My local B&M is so stuffed with sale that the sale merchandise has spilled out into the middle of the store instead of just across the back. So I guess there's the answer: nobody is buying, they're tired of being sCrew'd.
