  1. Yesterday I got my Lucca sandals in the mango colour - they are by far the loveliest shoes I have ever gotten from J Crew! they are bright orange and just gorgeous and sooo comfortable! There was a little snafu on the price (when they shipped, the 20% discount was not automatically removed as promised, but when I called the personal shopper took care of it right away and gave me free shipping to boot!) but all in all, so worth the price!

  2. WMM,

Did you order your usual size in these?

    Thanks!

  3. I went shopping at the local mall (i am in Canada) and was absolutely amazed at the hideousness and cheap look of the sandals at most of the shops! I love jcrew sandals and shoes, they are so classic. Even though they are expensive, they are so worth it!

  5. WMM, I also got the Lucca sandals in mango and I love them! They are very comfortable and the leather is so soft. It says man made in the online description but I would swear it is leather, it feel like it. The color is georgeous!!!! I only ordered them to try on to buy if they go on sale but I cannot part with them now. They fit TTS.

  6. To clarify, I was talking about the leather lining, not the upper, which is definitely 'soft Italian suede', as advertised.

  7. The leather linings of the shoes are awesome. The Odeon oxfords have the most beautiful linings I've ever seen in a shoe costing less than $500.

  8. Tamara, Odeons oxfords also say 'man made lining' in description. Does it feel like leather to you too?

  9. opehlias mom - ajc is right - they are definitely true to size! I am just crazy about them! I have ordered a couple of ballet flats this year, too and I can verify that they are now truly comfortable!!!!

  10. OT and maybe someone else already reported but walking to the parking garage today I saw that Madewell is opening in San Francisco! It looks like a huge space downstairs from their JC location. Looking forward to it.

  11. The French Made, I'm not sure where you live in Canada but I find that the best shoe stores are usually stand-alone and not in the mall. I'm in Western Canada and there are great shoe stores here with a multitude of quality brands in gorgeous styles, just not in the mall. If you have a trendy shopping area where you live there could be some lovely finds in shoe stores there.

  12. gem twin, is Madewell opening in the Market Street shopping center? If so, when? I will be in SFO later this year and always hit the Market Street J.Crew, would love to visit Madewell if it's there too.

  13. Madewell is opening in SF/Westfield Center in July. Walnut Creek, CA is supposed to get Crewcuts in July. I don't know the specific dates of the month for either.

  14. gigiofca, is Westfield the shopping center on Market Street? Haven't been there for a few years already, I can't remember anymore, but I think it is.

  16. ajc, after I submitted my post I imagined someone writing "the lining in the Odeons is not leather"!! So I'm laughing reading your post. Well, that's really great pleather then, because it truly looks and feels like leather. :) The workmanship is superb.
