J.Crew Wedding Event at Clearance Store

A big "thanks!" to Alison who shared the following {fantastic} news with us!

According to the Richmond Bargains (click here for its entirety), J.Crew is hosting a Weddings & Parties Sample Sale.

The sale will be "featuring an assortment of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses from previous and current collections". Moreover, "sale includes “Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses, Special Occasion’s Dresses, Shoes, Accessories and Jewelry. No men’s or kids or women’s pants, shirts etc." The fine print includes: "some merchandise may be of sample quality, have damages, or irregularities".

This event will run from Friday, March 11th until Sunday, March 20th. (Hours are 10AM to 6PM.) The location for this shopping event is:

  1. Interesting. The one clearance store in Lynchburg has racks of the bridesmaid dresses and many of the expensive bridal gowns from current and past seasons. I wonder how much more they will have at this sale? I'd check it out if I was in the area... even the most expensive ($3000) gowns were, if I recall correctly, only $1200 in the store and had a minor defect if any defect at all. Maybe the prices will be even lower at this sample sale. I doubt it though... the one warehouse sale I went to in Lynchburg had the expensive wedding dresses in it that were "priced as marked"... and the marked price was the same price as you could find an identical dress for in the clearance store a mile away. Not a bargain considering the warehouse sale dress had been stuffed into a box and touched by who knows how many people. It was obvious that they just took dresses out of the store and stuck them in the sale for the same price.

    Ok that sounds totally negative... but just trying to share past experience for anyone going to this event!
