  1. OMG, seriously, I am new to J Crew, but just about to abandon it almost as fast as I found it. I just received an order, and TWO of the FOUR items have OBVIOUS DEFECTS!! It's gotten to the point where as soon as I receive an item from J Crew, I check it for flaws. Usually, at least %25 of the items are flawed. I am venting now because the item I was MOST excited about has the largest flaw. Grrrrrrrr. J Crew has LITERALLY ignored my past TWO emails, so this time I took a picture and I am contacting them again. I don't care if they are willing to accept it back even though it's final sale, what about the INCONVENIENCE of it all? The money sitting on my J Crew card that they are busy investing and making profit on until I get the return processed? Seriously, I have received fewer flawed items from Old Navy. I swear I'm done. If a company is going to charge the prices they do, the least I should have to endure is paranoia of defects. I don't know how to post pics here, but I gladly would.
These are large enough flaws that a decent quality control department (including re-inspecting returns) would catch!

  2. The pic is now my avatar. Oh, and don't even get me started on my Linen Silk Pockets cardi, which has been worn a handful of times (desk job, not a wrestler), never washed, and has several holes developing. Another fine "final sale" item.

  3. Oh, Amy, it has a scary little face. Worse than finding the image of a saint on a potato chip. And it isn't even hallowe'en yet.

  4. Wellfed, LOL. I needed that. I bet you are a riot IRL.

  5. Amy: super bummmer! and I hate when there is something wrong with an item that is no longer readily available and you really want it ... but not with a hole in it!!!!
I know this doesn't address the quality problem-o (which I totally hear you and agree with you on!!) but call the "We'll Find It For You" number if you really want the item. They aren't supposed to search sale stuff, but that have for me when something had a flaw! HTH! Sorry about the crap items!

  7. Amy & wellfedfred - I actually think the face is rather cute! Lol. Maybe I need to get a Maru face as my avatar.

Also, re Madewell, I want this. Need a sale though...

  8. Social scientist, VERY cute dress, but holy short! Hopefully not as short as it looks, as models are usually amazon tall.

  9. Yeah I was thinking the same about the shortness :-/. I'm not super tall but I do have a long torso so it might cancel out, I don't know. If that fails J. Crew has a velvet dress too.
