Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER & FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. There were a bunch of paper poplin perfect shirts in the purple color at the North Ave Chicago B&M (as of Sat.)Also, lots of floral perfect shirts too. I also saw the Surf tweed skirt in 2 and 12. Additional 30% off still applies. Other than that, lots of tees, and flip flops in size 6. HTH someone.

  2. Has any one seen the Vintage matchstick jean in repaired indigo wash in any of your local b&m? I bought a pair for $19.99 about a month ago, but I need a smaller size and cant find them here in Dallas...even with the extra 30% off online they are still $42...if you know of a store that has them, please let me know.
    Thanks so much-

  3. I visited a crewlet this weekend and took some pictures of the fall items that I tried on.

You can see the photos in this post.

I spotted lots of lookalike silk Frances camis, as well as the usual cotton Jackies and some cute embellished cardigans.

  4. Stopped by the NYC 5th Ave store both yesterday and today, and they'd added more items to the sale section since yesterday, still 30% and FS. Nothing "new" - pencil skirts, two styles of Collection one-shoulder dresses (one pink, the other a white/tan with silver threads).

Did try on two interesting things, though, both Collection lace pencil skirts and not online (yet?). Item #29037 - dark green/metallic lace-y pencil skirt, has kind of a floral pattern, kind of scratchy on the exterior because of the metallic nature. $118. Think it was lined, but has no elastic/give so it emphasized my stomach. (Boo). Would size up if I got it, but it'd have to be on sale. Item #28947 - black/silver, a smoother material (cotton?) and has a bit of give/elastic - looked infinitely better than the first skirt, and had a rather nice heft to the fabric/material. Lined, $178. Would consider buying it if it's around in the autumn.

  6. I stopped by the B&M in Sherman Oaks, CA and the sale racks were pretty picked over. Tons of t-shirts though! I saw the buckle shorts, but not in my size. Too bad, they are really cute.

I did end up buying a cute ruffley black dress from the new arrivals. I have not seen it online yet. Black eyelet with ruffled cap sleeves and ruffles around the skirt. Grosgrain ribbon trim and drawstring waist. Hits about mid-thigh. It is so cute on!
