  1. Alexis,
that above poster needs to be blocked from JCA> can it be done?

  2. Among the 4 army jackets shown, I like J. Crew one the best. It has a feminine cut (unless it's pinned) and a longer length, and the material is not too destroyed to look like a homeless vet.

  3. I love the JC version, but I bought a similar jacket from Old Navy a couple months ago and I *adore* it (bought it in 2 or 3 colors). Not sure why it got marked down super quickly, because it fits like a dream! If it wasn't just cotton, like if it had a water-resistant coating, I'd love it even more. ;-)

  4. I cannot believe that anyone would pay 300$ for something that looks like this!

  5. Karen: I know! It's terrible that the Spammer continues to post. :( Blogger doesn't allow me to block. I can block IP addresses, and I will try to find theirs.

  6. when something becomes as obligatory as the army green jacket I tend to avoid. But, it is very practical and I have been eyeing a JC version in a different color.

  7. @Karen and Alexis - I read chinese and that spammer's name keeps changing from post to post.

But, believe it or not, the comments were never obscene or inappropriate marketing, just sentences that are totally OT. e.g. the ones from this morning read, "What beautiful words! Your site deserves lots of viewers."

  8. I love the dress Beyonce is actually wearing. Off the shoulder styles are so hard to find. Anyone know who it's by? (Hopefully not that House of Derriere nonsense of hers)

  9. About the Army Jackets. I bought the *boyfriend* version when it came out last year and absolutely loved it. I wore it exactly the way Emmy Rossum did, with lots of black and an attitude to match! But it's hard to get excited over it in People when
    1) It is on its Nth version and release (Again, I found it current last April)
    and
    2) It's the middle of Summer and People should be realistic. Those are old photos of those "starlets." In the now >100 degree weather, I am highly doubting these ladies are walking around with an army jacket and boots.
Given how quickly People turns issues over, they should be focusing on the here and now. Leave the fall trends where they properly belong -- with Vogue, Bazaar, Elle and the other fashion mags.

  10. Love the J.Crew version of it. Tried the new one on in the store and it is soft, but not so soft that it would wrinkle.

I bought last fall's version and the one in the boy's collection for my daughter who really loves it- she's six, but we bought it a couple of sizes up and rolled up the sleeves- so she will get some life out of it. We have been collecting the National Parks junior ranger program patches over the years together and have sewed them on her jacket, which personalizes it in such a fun way.

We have fun wearing them together.
