Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. FYI - EXTRA20 for 20% off sale and free shipping on $150!

  2. Thanks for sharing, Maureen. Does anyone know if the sale section has already been updated tonight or if there's still a chance for popbacks later tonight?

  3. So much for the 15% + free ship excitement...

  4. A bunch of in store markdowns are happening tomorrow.

  5. A, I *think* it is updated, as the zebra tunic is back. I could totally be wrong...

Going in to return some things that didn't work, reconnect with my PS (probably thinks i died or something) and *hopefully* try on some knit dresses. The smaller store I went to today had NONE :(

  6. Thanks mommydearest.

Has anyone seen the Linen neon pullover in store? It doesn't say catalog/online only in the description, but I've been hunting for it and haven't seen it in any stores, so I'm wondering if it's available in-store at all.
    It's this sweater, item 26033

  8. I don't know if this was a 'hidden' item, but have you ladies seen the fade-out sailor tee (27321)? I am perplexed by this - why would you want something that was faded on just the lower left hem? Some of these items (like the painter cardigan, too) make me wonder if they make an execution error in production and then decide to just run with it. :)

  9. Sadly I will be going in to return the silk cargo dress. The curse of being tall has struck again. The dress is about 33" from shoulder to hem which hits me about mid-thigh. Even taking down the hem will only give me about 2 more inches and 35" is still a wee bit scandalous for me.

Christy, I have to disagree :) The birthday 15% and free ship was good on all items, not just sale, and it had no minimum. It was an excellent code! When you factor in shipping, assuming you don't buy the amount necessary to result in $150 AFTER the discount, the 20% off sale actually only works out to about 10%.

  11. silver_lining that is an odd item. I can't see the allure, it does look like it's damaged or defective. Not a look I go for, personally.

I bought the painter cardigan after seeing it in the catalog but I returned it. The hyacinth color is very pretty and I didn't mind the white "accents" but it is incredibly thin, you can practically read the tag through the fabric. The fit was a little bit off as well, I didn't like the low placement of the buttons. I bought a couple of the cotton bling-button cardis and they are much nicer. Although lightweight they are quite a bit thicker than the painter and the fit is really nice.

Nothing in the sale section for me at all. I took advantage of the BIRTHDAY code on some FP items, which was much better for me. Thanks again to Alexis for that.

  13. I'll be stopping in to make a few returns, other than that I'm all set for now. Purchased several FP items using the 15% off birthday code, so no need to purchase anything at the b&m. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  14. silver_lining: I like J Crew is starting to make a heavier weight slub cotton, the Sailor tee looks like it is made with a heavier knit and the Vintage Slub polo definately is. I agree the Sailor tee is a odd item it looks like one of my laundry mistakes.

I took advantage of the birthday code, I will pass on this one.

  15. Would love to hear if the stores are having an extra % off sales. Anyone know? thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My store was not doing an extra % off on sale!

    ReplyDelete
  17. rynetta,
    Thanks for letting me know.

  18. A few notes from my visit today:

No additional % off the sale section. I haven't really had luck getting them to honor this in the store. My normal PSs have done it for me before, but the cashiers are so rude it turns out to be more of a pain that it's worth.

Maybe everyone knows this already, but the Jaipur perfect shirt is down to $49.99

I cannot recommend the ruched v-neck dress (26513) for a busty figure. Unless you are pregnant. Then it could be cute

New arrivals will be out Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  19. mommydearest,

More new arrivals on Tuesday? That explains the online 20% off I guess. Getting rid of items for another new roll out. Is the roll out online and in stores?

    ReplyDelete
  20. silver_lining: J Crew removed the hidden item #27321 on their website today I wonder if they saw your post.

    ReplyDelete
  21. casual-crew,
Oh, you bet they did see the post!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Within 30 minutes or so of silver_lining's posts about hidden items this morning, none of the items were viewable on the JC website. silver_lining, thanks very much for taking the time to share all this with us. I wish I had gotten to the computer sooner! I guess we'll all see them in a few days or weeks anyway, right? Just no FS on them for now, drat!

  23. Speaking of hidden items, I saw an ombre ocelot pencil skirt this morning as well and now it is gone. At least, I think that was the name. It was an ombre animal print in a pencil skirt anyway.

I have to laugh when hidden items are posted here and then yanked from the site. The IT team that manages the website has been one fiasco after another since the "upgrade" a couple years back.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Whoops, sorry guys - usually there are only 1 or 2 hidden items at a time, but there were just so many that I came across, I thought you'd want to take a look.

  25. Today, the Jaipur button up top was marked down to $49.99.... a few colors of the scout chinos were marked down (army green for one! yum!) Denim Minis (the dark ones) were $19.99 (yes! you read that right!!) A few other very nice pant mark downs as well!!! My SA told me they were readying for a shipment of new merchandise that would hit the floor Wed. night, so that was why so many great sale items! Darling ruffle cardi that seems new was also on sale!! The Kelsey was down to $49.99....

Have fun! Oh!! and I almost forgot, my personal favorite, the dotsalota was marked down to $79!!!

  26. I reviewed an asymmetrical ruffle tiered dress that is currently retail only. You can see it in this post.

Chic Chauffeur - in which store did you see the dotsalota cami on sale? I will call them as soon as they open. Thank you!

  30. Stephanie I saw some of the dotsalota cami on sale at the Murray store in Utah

  31. I saw the fade-out saillor tee (the hidden item mentioned) in store yesterday. It looked quite cute, but then again, I didn't pick it up so only saw it folded and didn't see the "fade out" part. I still think it's cute, but I don't love or see the point of the faded out part.

  32. My store marked down a lot on Thursday and had a full sale section Friday. Sadly, there was not an additional % off.

They are preparing for another roll-out on Tuesday. I saw a few things, particularly cute gingham shorts (3 inch) in orange and purple.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I also saw the fade out tee and I was not impressed. The gingham shorts are adorable! The ginny dress is marked down to 79.99 in stores. They didn't have my size but my ps called and was able to match the store price and for some strange reason, they didn't charge me shipping. They have added a great new feature where my ps now has a ps in Lynchburg. Now, if I need something, I can contact my local ps who can let his ps know what I want - no cc info required to pass via 3 parties. Plus, I may be able to email his ps eventually. Lots of tees marked down. And, new arrivals will also be in my b&m on Tuesday. Oh, I bought a new striped tank that comes in faded black or neon orange. Love it, although my 36C chest sized down to an xs, so many will be sized out of it.

  35. Could someone let me know what is on the sale racks? I won't be able to make it to my b/m today, but may go tomorrow if there is something I've been eyeing.

    TIA

  36. I have kindly received an offer from a friend to pick-up some items for me while she's in the States.

Can anyone tell me what Madewell is offering for jewelry, sandals and bags?

I wish they posted more online. I do see the website will be up and running for purchases this Summer.

    Thanks

  37. Just returned from the Durham, NC store and they had the purple watercolor skirt and the pink watercolor-y skirt (sorry, forget the name) down to $39.99! I was so mad my size wasn't there. Mostly 2's and 4' in both items. They also had a few swimsuit separates marked down -- I saw the thicket floral bikini there ... all pieces were S or M, no larges (boo hoo) ... hmm, what else, lots of vintage matchstick jeans down to $29.99, several Alice tops down to $29.99 and t-shirts out the wazoo. Lots of perfect shirts -- the purple paisley pattern one from the last rollout ($49.99 I think) and lots of watercolor cardis; I think they are still $59.99.

    - Ginny dress - $79.99
    - Watercolor garden shell - $39.99 - Columbus Circle has tons of them in many sizes!
    - Watercolor pastiche cardigan - $29.99
    - Jaipur perfect shirt - $49.99
    - Thicket floral perfect shirt - $49.99
    - Sunshine peony & watercolor pastiche perfect shirt - $49.99
    - Drapey Drexel plissé skirt - $49.99 - I'd have gotten it but it's just way too short for me!
    - Lilly peep toes - $79.99
    - Patterned classic ballet flats - $39.99
    - Pastel petal perfect shirt - $29.99

  39. I noticed the following pencil skirts on sale for $39.99 each:
-Sunshine peony pencil skirt (item 22591)
-Watercolor floral pastiche pencil skirt (item 24085)
    -Watercolor garden pencil skirt

I ended up getting the Watercolor floral pastiche pencil skirt one size larger than I normally do and it worked out great. Such a lovely skirt for a great price! :)

  40. If anyone sees the purple watercolor pencil skirt at $39.99 in a size 10 anywhere, can you either pick one up for me or tell me where it is so I can call the store? Also looking for the sunshine peony skirt in the same size at the same price, but want the purple one more. Thank you!!

  41. Went to the mall yeasterday and there was a lots of different sizes of the $39.99 pencil skirts in Paramus. Waterfloral, watercolor and sunshine peony. Andre dress for $59.99. Perferct shirts in all sizes including jaipur, and thicket floral for $49.99. Destroyed matchsticks in almost all sizes for $19.99, this is down from $148, I would never bought them at original price, or even half but at $19.99 this was no brainer. I also bought Andre dress. I know a lot of people complained about cleavage on this dress but you can easily pin it and it still drapes beautifully. it is more forgiving on larger chest because of the draping. And you can un-pin and wear with statement necklace if you are going on a date. At $59 I love it. Paramus is closed on Sundays but you can call them tomorrow.

  42. Elaine, the Charleston, SC, store had several of the purple floral skirt. Since I already have it, I didn't look at the sizes, but it's worth a try if you want to call. 843-534-1643

  45. Elaine: I know for sure the New Haven, CT store had the purple skirt in size 10. (Only one though.) Good luck! :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Alexis, I just now realized I hadn't included my email address (ARGH!) but I will call the New Haven store first thing in the morning. Hope no one swiped it yet! Thanks so much, Elaine

  48. ajc, was the sunshine peonies skirt $39.99!? I am unsure about it for $65, but I'd keep it at $40 :)
I swear the ones I saw at GSP in Feb had a whiter background but the one I ordered online is definately yellow. Not my favorite. Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Pauline, they had at least couple of size 4 Andre dress in Paramus on Saturday (and it is closed on Sunday).
Mommydearest, I am not 100% sure if they were 39.99 because I wasn't interested in that print. I know other two floral skirts were 39.99 because i tried them. But I assume yes since others are reporting that's the B&M price. I would give them a call to find out :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Elaine: Good luck with the skirt! I hope you get it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. ajc...thanks so much for the tip! I will be calling the Paramus store today!

    ReplyDelete
  52. ajc....I just wanted to thank you again! The Paramus store did have the Andre dress in my size and a pencil skirt I was looking for as well. I called 15 stores yesterday and couldn't find a single store that had the Andre dress, so thank you for your help!
