The Great (Weekly) Exchange {exclusively for men!}

This post (of weekly posts) is for individual members who are interested in (1) swapping/selling/sharing and/or (2) looking for and interested in buying certain items from J.Crew's Men Collection. Please feel free to share a J.Crew store location and/or your outside listing/ auction site if it matches the requests made in this post.

Please note: this posting is not for resellers.

Also note that any transactions are independent of this blog. (Especially since you will be using an outside listing/ auction site like eBay or eCrater.) I have no dealings or interactions with any of the potential communication, listings, or transactions. :) Moreover, please limit comments about items to swap/sell/share/finding to the "Great (Weekly) Exchange" posts. (Refer to "A Quick Note to J.Crew Aficionadas" post.)

Do you have any items you would like to swap/sell/share among yourselves through your outside listing/auction site? Is there an item (or items) that you are looking for and interested in purchasing?

  1. I'm guessing either we men buy more carefully or just return our mistakes.

  3. I think a lot of men are averse to buying and selling used items. A good portion of the women's Weekly Exchange is for used items. Some of us covet an item so dearly that we don't mind if it is EUC, GUC or just plain UC! And we're not shy to offer same for sale if we think someone will want it.

    Just an observation, not a condemnation. ;^)

  4. nah, i think men are more inclined to buy off forums like superfuture and styleforum -- where resellers tend to provide pictures, detailed measurements, and the like. men tend to have more questions when they buy and want to know about fabrication, fit, etc.

  5. I buy a fair bit of "gently used" clothing on eBay, and I've gotten some exceptional deals. I look at Style Forum semi-regularly. Good photos usually show you what you need to know; if not, I ask for some.

    Speaking of, I've had no luck trying to find one of the J. Crew flannel shirts from this past fall season. It's a light gray and red plaid; the style may have a name but I can't remember it. It keeps popping up in the online sale section in Small, but I need an XL.

    I also have some jeans I bought recently, that fit me fine but are not quite the right wash. 36 x 32, straight fit, in dark worn wash.
