J.Crew Email: Only one more day. 20% off women's knits & tees + FREE SHIPPING. Online only.

J.Crew sent an email this morning to remind us of their latest promotion. They are offering 20% off select styles of Women's Knits and Tees (click here to shop online). This offer is expires 11/15/09 and is available online only.

From yesterday's "Women's Knits & Tees: Now 20% Off" post, there was a good a discussion about the quality of J.Crew's tees. Although we disagree about the quality & whether the tees are worth the price tag, I think we can almost all agree that we adore the design offerings of their tees. :)

Moreover, J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code 150SHIP. This offer expires 11/15/09. On a sad note, it looks like the spree of Facebook free shipping (with no minimum) codes has ended. {sniffle}

Happy {weekend} shopping!

  1. I am glad I did not wait to order my Slub cotton faded floral tee in the dark charcoal. I was able to get it on sale and use the last Facebook free shipping code!

  2. Last night a J Crew rep called me and asked if I had received my rewards card yet, I said no, then asked for a price adjustment on the reindeer tee I had ordered the day before all the tees went on sale! She did it with no problem! I placed another order this morning with the last Facebook free shipping code with zero issues....

  3. OT, I've still been absorbing the new arrivals and am now definitively disappointed in the sweaters. I will not buy another blend from JC because of pilling. The cute handknit looking cable is acrylic, wool, and I can't even remember what else. WTF? I have been looking at Garnet Hill instead; they have some cute things at good prices and made with good materials. Oh, and what is going on with the fleur-de-lis buttons on the Fair Isle sweaters? Talk about schizophrenic!

  4. Corry,
Yes, acrylic is not good for a pricy sweater!! Yeah, I will buy an inexpensive acrylic sweater but not a full priced one from JCRew!

Take a look at LLBean and Lands End. They have really uped the style factor lately.

  7. Jen: What time did you place your order? I tried using the code at 3:30 am and it had expired.

  8. pixelant, that code should work. I ordered the navy Crosby coat and the navy cashmere cardigan yesterday and used it, it's supposed to be good through the 15th. In fact, it's posted at the top of the Shopping Cart on their site.

As for acrylic, no thank you. I do buy their basic cashmere cardigans because I like the look/cuts/colors, but they need to up their quality.

I was flipping through their Holiday 2007 catalog and what happy catalogs they used to have. And the solid Lexington jacket, how gorgeous was that? That one was in South America too; Argentina.

  9. Am I the only one who noticed that yesterday the Frances Cami came out in new colors and they were all at $69 or $68 and today they are all back up to full price at $88 except for the purple color? What the hell J.Crew is this item on sale or not????? This sort of thing is causing me to purchase more and more from other retailers who are more consistent with their pricing.

  10. Has anyone tried the signaure black leggings, item number 17689? They are on sale for $23.50 and I wanted to try a pair! Since they also have an xxs I was thrown off and wondering if perhaps they run a little large?

  11. The leggings are great and comfy but run big!

  12. I used this code at 8am CST:
    FBFREESHIP

  13. Thanks Heidi. I totally agree it is a bad business practice. I love J.Crew and find this disappointing.

  14. I'm not ordering anything else with this promo but I'm glad it included so many new items . . . other promos (such as the coats) often seem to exclude the good stuff.

Agree about how confusing it is for items like Frances and Eden to swing back from sale to FP and back. I understand temporary promos (such as the tees) but these apparently arbitrary price shifts are irritating.

  15. Jen: Thanks that code works, so the FB codes are still around yea!

  16. Can anyone comment on the Sequined Starland tank, whether it runs TTS or not?

    TIA!

  17. OT, but I just found out about this site- http://www.priceyeti.com/. (disclaimer- I'm not affiliated with it at all) Essentially you make a list, and it tracks the price for you. Then it emails you when the price drops. Just thought it was pretty neat & wanted to pass it along. :)

  18. Just returned from Crewlet. The place is loaded with lower-quality knock-offs of prior retail store styles ... Golden Roses, Victoria, those cheapo Jackies, embellished tees. I find the prices SO high; I seem to do better trolling online Sale esp w/Free Shipping. They were unloading a ton of jewelry and the bright spot of the trip: a decent version of the Crystal Symphony Necklace for $37. Also got the Snowflake tee for $27 so worth the trip for me.

  19. I just received a Jcrew catalog in the mail yesterday. I was so excited because I haven't received a catalog in so long! I was even more excited to find a free shipping, no limit coupon in the middle of the catalog! And then all my hope evaporated as I realized the catalog was from October and the coupon expired on Oct. 4.

  20. I just ordered the gathered tie top in ivory. I love the look of it, but hope it's not see-thru. Has anyone tried it on?

  21. OT: Lots of the CC accessories are on a buy two, get 30% off. This includes the cutenick crazy bead necklace, which brings it down to a whopping $10.15. These are really darling, I bought one in the papaya awhile ago and ordered another in shadow (also for me!) Much of the adult jewelry is too much for me, too expensive, too complicated, or too big in scale. The crazy beads are perfect, though, and can be worn longer or shorter, and still ship for free without a code. A really good buy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ^ Also, with the buy two, get 30%, some accessories in the sale section are marked as being part of the promo. You don't get 30% off the sale item, but it will apply to the full priced item. Kind of weird, but whatever.

  23. CheesyGoodness,
Appreciate the necklace tip as I have the same issues with JC jewelry being to heavy and big for me. However, the two necklace colors my daughter and I like and would get to share/wear are backordered until Jan. 18th!!!! INSANE.

  24. Thanks for the code Jen, it works! I just ordered the piano key necklace (it's 29.99 online, but was still under glass at my B&M today at FP). ;D

  25. @Julia: I received that too! Only I got mine last Sat. If you call or email CS, they'll probably waive your shipping on your next purchase if you tell them what happened; my CS said if I did an online order they could reimburse me for the shipping, but I'd have to pay it first... IMHO, it seems like less of a hassle to just use the FB codes.

  29. Any thoughts on the slub cotton silk streamers henley OR the textured jersey streamers tee? For those who have tried/bought it, how is the fit?

    ReplyDelete
  30. AppGal: I bought the streamers henley and promptly returned it. It is sheer, and the trim was already fraying around the buttons. The fit was tts.

    ReplyDelete
  31. AppGal: Thanks for letting me know! I just ended up using the 150SHIP code. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. AppGal--I love my streamers henley so much (in warm shell) that I ordered another color on sale. Steam it for that relaxed look shown on the model, otherwise it truly looks strange.
