J.Crew Aficionada on Flickr {upload your fav outfit!}

It's amazing to see so many wonderful resources that showcase J.Crew inspired outfits! From the "Polyvore- J.Crew Aficionada Group" (click here) to blogs authored by fellow JCAs showcasing real-life images of how they wear J.Crew. Even J.Crew got on board with this idea and now offers a place on their Facebook page (click here) for fans to upload their J.Crew inspired outfits.

Well, add one more bookmark for a place to view & upload J.Crew inspired outfits! For some time over at Flickr, many {super chic} JCAs have been uploading & sharing their {fabulous} outfits at "The J.Crew Aficionada Pool" (click here to view). I think it's another great resource to get "outfit inspiration". :)

A big "thanks!" to all JCAs who share their stylish outfits with us!

  1. Wow! What a cool idea! I always need a little extra inspiration putting outfits together. It probably sounds silly, but I often keep older J.Crew catelogs just to see their styling! This is a great resource! :) Thanks!

  2. The photographer for The Gleam of Rose is gifted. Enchanting, each photo tells a soft story. Favorite: snowflakes she seems to be tasting, in long white skirt.

  3. Gingersnap - so not silly! I think most of us JCA's keep our old J.Crew catalogs. One day I was cleaning out my house and got rid of most of them and I've just regretted it ever since! I'm starting all over again...!

  4. Speaking of keeping older catalogues, would any kind JCA still have and be willing to part with (or even scan images from) the J Crew Rome catalogue? Maybe even trade it for something? I am leaving Rome after living there a year, and I'm really sad to be leaving many of the sites, and I'm now wishing I had kept it. Those pictures combine some of my favorite things in the world! So many memories! my email is cesnyder213 at yahoo - Grazie!!

  5. Gingersnap (and btw, love your icon), I think you've hit on a great post topic: Do you keep J.Crew catalogs for styling inspiration? I do - especially the fall & winter ones, since that's when I shop with J.Crew (their spring & summer stuff rarely interests me).

My favorite, almost two years later, remains the seminal Paris catalog. Also draw inspiration from the Highlands catalog & last winter's excursion to Iceland.

  6. I still refer to the Paris catalog. Nothing has compared since. Has anyone scanned/posted it on a blog somewhere to share? I'm not that savvy ...

  7. Ruffles-check out Stacie's blog at:
    http://approprie.blogspot.com/
she is compiling catalogs uploaded to picasa that you can view. She is looking for more to get scanned in. When I am bored and online I like to check them out for further inspiration for my closet! I hope someone can supply the entire Paris catalog b/c I sadly recycled mine a long time ago :( I would love to revisit those scenes...

  8. On a totally different topic...can we start a post about the outlet stores? I visited 2 this weekend and have good news to report (highlights): abstract rose print victoria cami (and matching headband), cords, sweaters, 30% off sale merchandise (got 5" kakhi shorts for $9) etc.

  9. Sarah, what is the abstract rose print Victoria cami made of? Is it silk? I'm not near an outlet, I'm thinking of having one shipped so I'd like to know a little more about it including the price. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

  10. I belive it was silk and it was ~$65. I saw it both at Clinton Crossing (Clinton, CT) and Tanger Outlet (Westbrook, CT).

The Clinton Crossing outlet had a 20% off a single item coupon on its website for JCrew too.

  12. sarah,

I just posted my report from outlet shopping this weekend in the "seek & find" entry... but maybe I should post it here since that is at the bottom of the page?

    here you go!>>>

Went to an outlet this weekend, and there were some nice things there. As others have mentioned, the abstract rose print is back, in the victoria blouse, shirred skirt (or at least similar shape to the new wool shirred skirt), belt, headband and scarf. I tried on the blouse and skirt. if you're petite, these probably aren't going to work for you, but they are cute. For that reason, I had to pass on the top and skirt, so I got a headband to satiate my abstract rose cravings. :)

Other prints back bearing a factory label: florentine (short sleeve sweater, pencil skirt), watercolor (scarf, belt, headband), leopard (in factory version of the simone jacket, I haven't seen a retail version of it in a while, but it looked the same to me).

Also, several retail items were mixed into the sale section: metallic jacquard zoey dress, florentine capri pant, oxford stripe/seersucker blazer, polka dot silk twill top, etc.

  13. yes, the abstract rose victoria cami is silk, and the skirt was a cotton sateen or twill... I don't remember.

  14. Another interesting combo of off season print and styles at the outlet was a slub silk Madeline dress in black crosshatch print (featured in the strapless claudine dress).
