Crewcuts Email: crewcuts new arrivals are here. in stores and online.

"Thanks!" to Marietta, who shared the following email with us.

As mentioned in Thursday's post, "J.Crew Updates Website With New Arrivals Today!", new arrivals are available for purchase online. The email above indicates that new arrivals for Crewcuts are also available for purchase online and at B&M (brick & mortar) stores. :)

They are also reminding us about free shipping on all Crewcuts orders (with no minimum). No code is necessary, as this offer is automatically applied at checkout. (This promo has been going on f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Well, it feels like forever. ;) But in reality, since April. Although I am happy they are running this promo, I can't help feel suspicious & concerned about it. Especially since some JCAs have reported the Crewcuts section downsizing, or disappearing altogether, at their local B&M store. Is the Crewcuts division doing well?)

Will you check out the new arrivals for Crewcuts? Will you purchase any items for kids going back to school?

  1. I certainly hope that the free shipping and dissaperance of some in-store Crewcuts only means they are heading toward on-line based sales as mentioned earlier. I waited two long years for my baby to grow and fit into the Crewcuts line, and I have been trying to build up his collection! I don't know what I would put my son in if it wasn't J Crew! There's nothing that compares.

I order Crewcuts much more frequently (sometimes 2-3 small orders a week) than I do the adult line because I don't feel penalized on the shipping charge. If I see just one cute thing on sale, I can go ahead and buy it, without having to wait for a cart-load to reach the free ship minimum. Personally, I 'd love it if they kept the free ship promo indefinately.

  2. Love the free shipping! and like others have used it on one or two items here and there as they pop up in FS (yes crewcuts items disappear from my cart too!) I usually only buy Crewcuts on sale, so probably no new Fall items for awhile. I also stocked up BIG time last year at the end of the season and all my kids have a ton of crewcuts ready and waiting for Fall.
But if I was going to buy any Fall items I might consider the Marquee coat in Sweet Guava-TDF!

  3. Well, they are opening the new crewcuts store on Madison Ave. Store vacancies on Madison Ave are pretty high these days, so hopefully they got a good deal on rent!!!

I can see that they might be having more of a problem due to the economy, as parents might not want to spend $$$ for fancy kids' clothes that they don't think their kids will appreciate and/or will grow out of quickly. Better to buy clothes for them from Old Navy and get JC for yourself!

  4. I plan on getting some v-neck cardigans for my son for back to school. he wears uniforms so it has to be navy and straightlaced and they have it! before the 20% sale is up I'll get some sale stuff and school stuff for the boys, i love crewcuts and hope my next bambino is a girl!!

  5. My sister and I already bought a few things for my niece and I'm going to take a look again today for both my niece and nephew. I do love the free shipping and have used it already this summer. While I prefer sale prices, if it's something my niece LOVES, then one of us pays full price. Although, my sister got 20% on our last trip (20% on 125).

  6. I got the crewcuts crazy bead necklace in bright papaya- for myself! I rarely go for big necklaces, so this was just the right proportions. Like many JCAMoms, I love the CC, on sale only though. Last year I got a ton of stuff during turkey/hohoho for DD, and have been getting things piecemeal during the CC free ship, mostly things for the seasons and years ahead! I have to give major props to the city tee rosette dress she's been wearing all summer. The thick cotton is virtually stain and rip proof, the rosette is practically welded on, and it looks great wash after wash. Sometimes I feel CC quality trumps the adult JC quality by a country mile.

  7. I certainly hope the Crewcuts line will not go under! I love it for my daughter, and she loves it as well. We have definitely taken advantage of the free shipping since it started.
Crewcuts is so much better imo than the other choices out there in her size.....Gymboree (starts looking funny after size 6), Justice (where do I start?), and Gap Kids (very plain and can be cheap-looking).

  8. I buy few very few lines of clothes, and crewcuts is one of my top two (Boden is the other). I really hope j. Crew won't phase the label out. I have noticed the price point is lower than last year. Especially the jeans. I have already bought some great fall items. And I love the free shipping. I probably spend more, even though I think I am (I usually wait for a code then spend 150$) spending less.
