J.Crew Is On Facebook {let's be friends!}

J.Crew's sister store, Madewell has a Facebook (FB) page (click here) for sometime now. I often wondered if J.Crew would get its own Facebook page (especially since its a good way to market their brand). Well that question has been answered as J.Crew recently came out with its own Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/jcrew

There are lots of neat features to the page including (1) sending virtual gifts of J.Crew inspired sketched images; (2) a gallery of how real customers wear their J.Crew; (3) behind the scenes with the design team; & (4) Jenna Lyon's latest picks.

What are your thoughts on J.Crew's Facebook page? Do you think this is a smart marketing move? Will you become a fan of J.Crew's FB page?

  3. About time! Lilly Pulitzer has had a facebook page for awhile now and I know many other retailers do too - I'm glad J.Crew is getting with the program on this one...now if we could only get them to listen about flat rate shipping...hmmm. :)

  4. Does that mean we can officially call out bad employees on their own social networking site? Hmmm....this will be pretty interesting.

  5. Thanks for posting...headed there right now! (I notice they aren't giving a 15% discount for becoming a fan like Madewell did - boo on that.)

  6. I'm already a fan few months ago...but they don't do anything exciting like offering special discount for FB fans...
