J.Crew Fall Rewards Card {be on the lookout}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Pam & GigiOfCa (in this post), as well as Susan, Twiga, jcrewlover, & FiFi's PooH (in this post), who let us know that they received their J.Crew Rewards Card (click here to learn more) by regular mail recently. Also, "thanks!" to Jean who let us know that J.Crew sent an email (shown above), letting card members know about the latest reward card being sent.

Pam mentioned the following: "I just rec'd my Fall rewards card! Pretty pink card with "note" from Jenna Lyons on Fall arrivals and mini-look book". That package from J.Crew sounds lovely! :)

Moreover, "thanks!" to Jamie & RatsOnParade (in this post) who let us know that the latest Rewards Card expires September 15th.

So if you are a card member, chances are you will be receiving your rewards card in the mail in the next couple of days, so keep "an eye out" for it. :)

Have you already received your J.Crew rewards card? If so, please let us know! :)

  2. In CA, received mine today! Just in time to shop for new arrivals! Yea!

  3. I received mine yesterday. And spent it last night at Easton -- all the new arrivals were out on the floor. (Over at Polaris they were still putting out the new items -- but the rest of the floor was mostly bare.) Geez, those rewards cards don't last long! ;)

  7. Rebecca: Mine said "Please use by September 15th" (paraphrasing since the card isn't in front of me.)

  8. Thanks! OT- Those who have tried the Eden jacket in the B&M, how does it fit compared to the Ecole jacket? I could never get the Ecole to fit correctly and I have high hopes for the Eden.

  9. Thanks for the update about Easton, RatsonParade. It's time for a shopping trip. I haven't been in a B&M for two months!

Spent a few minutes on JCrew's facebook page. I like the photo part where people show how they wear they JCrew items but it was nothing compared to FFM's polyvore sets.

Does anyone own the crinkle safari skirt? I need a casual summer skirt that can go with several tops for a vacation. I also need to be able to wear low, comfortable shoes with it. I"m hoping this is the one and I'm hoping it's on sale soon.

  10. I got mine yesterday and since I'm meeting my Mom to go shopping tonight, I'm sure it will be gone today... :)

  12. I received mine yesterday! Does anyone else think Jenna Lyons got married? The "letter" from Jenna was signed "Jenna Lyons Manzeau" (or something like that, can't remember exactly). Has that always been her last name and I just missed it??

  13. Repping for VA, I received mine yesterday. I do remember someone saying on this blog that the cards are mailed out in two batches, so maybe for those who haven't received yet, be prepared for a happy mailbox soon! :)

  14. JTS - They've been married a while and have a son, Beckett.

No, I'm not a stalker or even an ardent fan. I've read articles on this blog mentioning her husband and son. I just googled "Jenna Lyons married" and the page came up at the top.

Like many women, me included, she probably uses whichever version of surname makes the most sense for the situation. I use my birth surname except when I am in my husband's home area and then I use his surname because it is a recognized name in the community and his family refers to me that way.

  15. spent over 2 grand on my j crew card w/in the past month..... and i get $25 in rewards. That can buy me 1/2 of a sleeve on a new cashmere cardigan. Sweet. Oh how I wish the JCrew card was like the Nordstroms credit card. I guess a girl can dream.

  16. lkltxva-

The rewards period close at the end of the following months: March, June, September and December. So, likely anything you spent in July won't appear until the reward cards for September are issued. You get $25 in cards for each $500 spent. Hope this helps.

  17. I just received an email from J.Crew titled "You have earned a J.Crew Rewards Card". I don't know how to save the image of the email but have forwarded it to Alexis.
This is the first time I have received such email and I think it's very nice of J.Crew to do so. I know other retailers like Banana Republic or Victoria Secret don't do that.

  18. Rebecca-

I tried on the Eden jacket yesterday. It fits perfectly. TTS.

  19. It seems like the west coast reward cards take longer. Did anyone in the far west get theirs yet? I didn't (Puget Sound Area). Thanks!

  20. In TX...Wheee! So excited that I received my rewards card right as I was leaving the house to head to J Crew today. And I have a gift card to use too! I'm a happy girl!

  21. I am about $60 shy of a rewards card this time, sigh.. I spent a lot but then I returned a lot. bad fit and enormous markdowns after I bought made me return. still, love the new stuff though.
OT- does anyone have the gap friends and family 30% off email for this weekend? I would love to save some money! Thanks!

  22. lkltxva,

Your post cracked me up. Your right though, $25 really doesn't go far in a J. Crew store.

I received my card yesterday, but I will exhibit self control and not use it until the end of August, when sale prices hopefully kick in.

I love the colors for fall. It's about time, those summer colors were tres depressing. I also love the textured and colored tights. I rocked those as a college girl in the 90s. I think that's a trend I can do now in my 30s.

OT: I'm curious if any of you think the price points this fall are way higher or about the same as last year? Some items seem reasonable and some are insanely high. I always find J. Crew shoes way overpriced.

Alexis - maybe that could be a topic for discussion?

  23. Crewlade-

Email me and I'll forward you the discount email for Gap, etc.

  25. has anyone seen the anton sweater in stores yet? I am dying to try that puppy on!

  26. got mine in today's mail... purchased eden jacket, fits TTS, BTW, in the Iris color which is really more like a burgundy which will look fabulous with the steve madden mirakle booties I am getting at the Nordie Ann. sale. Also tried on the ribbon front top, I think it runs a bit small. Also got the Imperial tee and the sparkling rose tee in the champagne color, along with a slub sotton tank that's retail only-smiliar to the rolling ruffles tank, but it has silk pieces and it's more fitted.

  28. I got mine yesterday and planned to use it next month (when the FS is over, and some new items are onsale). Anyway, I love the little lookbook and want to buy somethings (e.g. scattered petals tank (17207), le jardin cami (18679), tissue stone necklace tee (18528)).

  29. I'm in Socal and I haven't received mine yet... maybe this afternoon the mail carrier may deliver...

  30. I checked out 2 B&Ms last night, both of which had all their fall items out, and I was disappointed that not all of the new sweaters are out yet. Only saw the Shirred Ruffle Cardi, Pointelle Cardi, Tissue silk-trim parlour cardi and corsage cardi. Also, I'm lusting over the Aubergine cords but it seems those are a catalogue-only color! Bah. However, I did see a few graphic/embellished tees that are retail only. Also picked up a retail-only Merino cardi in the Evening Primrose print - LOVE this print, beautiful colors! The deep rose color is also beautiful and loved it in the Frances cami (size down, fits like the Victoria cami). Great colors in the cords, too, and love the ankle fit!

  31. The ankle-fit jeans seem so popular, I have to wonder, are any of the fans over 5'9" ?? I think for those of us who are tall it could get to a point where they look like capris and not transition so well into fall.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My rewards card came today! I am headed out tonight to check out fall stuff, but my B&M is small so they won't have too much I imagine.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was drinking the crewlade and spent $777.77 (exactly!) online on fall stuff last week and then got my rewards card this week.

I will probably return $333.33 of it anyway, and the rewards card will get used regardless. But damn, I need a second job.

  34. In NY - I received my rewards card yesterday, I have an appt with my PS on Friday.... although I already ordered a bunch of fall pieces last week.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I also got the evening primrose cardi - love it! The print is so pretty. I was hoping to see the maya cardi, but they didn't have it. Hopefully it will show up in stores in a week or two. Has anyone seen it yet?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I got mine today in Ohio! I might have to wander over to JCrew tonight... just to try things on, because I want the Eden but need a tall.

    ReplyDelete
  37. CaptainCrew: I was wondering the same thing. I am 5'10" ish and I just don't know if "ankle" anything would work for me. Probably too much like capris. Sigh.

  38. Hi, is there ever a JCA event in Chicago? I have yet to come across any, but I'm a mini-JCA :)

  39. Here's my review of 2 new items I just got:

Bell flower top: had to have when I saw it with the new arrivals, but just don't love it on me IRL. Fits true to size but the silk is kind of thin and clingy, plus I think the design makes me look too top-heavy. Returning. Just a note, the sage is monochromatic but I saw the ivory in-store and the little things coming out of the flowers are actually gray on that one.

Cotton corsage cardigan: I didn't realize how long this was IRL. It also seems to run on the larger size so I would size down. It's a nice weight materials and the flower appliques are cute, but long cardigans look frumpy on me so it's going back. If you don't like the other long cardigan styles you probably won't like this one.

Overall, struck out, but there are some other new arrivals I have my eye on, so hopefully those will turn out better.

  40. My rewards card came yesterday and I'm on the West Coast...

OT: I received the Tissue Boyfriend Crewneck tee in tea rose and heather grey. Love the fit, but they are a little oversized..could have definitely gone down to a small in these. I will try to shrink them and see how they work, but they should be fine for summer. But unfortunately, if they don't shrink, they won't work as a layering piece.

DS received his pocket crewneck tees (which he loves - super soft and no scratchy tags). I have to say, we received some Olive Juice Kids items today as well and the difference in quality is very apparent. DD's skirts, shirt, and dress were $10 a piece but they are so much better constructed with higher quality fabric. They are currently running a $10 "Final Sale" on their site too and some of the Girl items are definitely worth looking at, especially when compared to crewcuts....they styles are slightly plainer, but I know they will hold up on the playground!
