  1. Another sample sale? Wow. Why not just sell everything dirt cheap online, or maybe better promos to get people buying...

  2. I didn't go to the one earlier this year, but I might go to this one. Anyone know if they typically put more stuff out/mark things down further as the sale goes on? Or if I go on the first day will I basically see everything that's going to be put out?

  3. Considering the other one was pretty crappy I will pass in a heart beat.

  4. I don't live in NYC but will be there this week in time for this event. Since I don't live there I have never paid attention to how these things work-is there a range of sizes available or just 2-4s like other "sample" sales? Thanks!

  5. I plan on going, but if the prices are the same as last time around I will be disappointed. Anon, at the last sale most of the items were size 6/XS and one or two-of-a-kind. However there were some items that ranged in size from 2-8.

sherbie, I think they did one markdown at the end of the week but it still wasn't really competitive with final sale prices on the website. They restocked almost every day so don't feel compelled to rush there on the first day. (Unless you want to -- I did last time!)

  6. Another one???? Does J.Crew have to pay Clothingline to do this for them?

  7. Just got back from the sale... There was a line 100 ppl long at 11am. Everything was overpriced. Tshirts were 10, dress pants and skirts 50, cashmere sweaters 60, knit tops and blouses 25, jackets and outerwear 75. I didn't find a thing. No shoes. I've gotten much better deals at a regular sale. Stay home!
