New Crewcuts Looks & Is Final Sale Over Soon?

As many of you have mentioned, J.Crew's latest email is about their Crewcuts line. New Fall looks and new sale items are now available in stores. How cute & stylish are those outfits?!? Love them all! :)

Sarah (in this post), Tigs (in this post), and others made an excellent observation about the bottom of the email, noting that it reads "don't miss out... it's the last week of our final sale." Silver_lining (in this post) also pointed out that it would make sense as it would coincide with the new holiday roll out. Could it be true that the "final sale" at J.Crew will finally be over soon? ;)

  1. Did you notice the email states "don't miss out...it's the last week of our Final Sale"?

Don't miss out? Why hurry for final sale when next week, you can purchase a sale item and have the option of returning it if it's not to your liking.

  2. Last week of FS. Interesting.

OT -- anyone own the python 3/4 jacket? It's from this spring, I think. It's collarless, taupe and white pattern, belt tie. They pictured it with shorts. Wondering if it runs TTS. And did you find the print overwhelming if you're of shorter stature? ;-)

  4. Gigiofca - I own one in 2P, and I found it to be a perfect fit, it is my usual size in JC jackets. I'm 5'1, and I've gotten so many complements for the look of this jacket that I don't think the pattern was overwhelming at all. Love it. Hope that helps.

  7. Dear JA...could you please ask FFM to style me black? I just got a great job with a cosmetics company and for the first few weeks I have to wear all black. Very hard for a colorful dresser. After that we will be able to add navy, brown and charcoal. I'm just finding it difficult to come up with all black combos and not be boring. I love cute clothes, and spend a lot of time at work. I'm looking at the boule ring for an accent piece though, don't you think it would be perfect? Thanks so much.

  8. OH HOW I HOPE THIS IS TRUE!!!!! I would LOVE to see the Final Sale GO AWAY!!!

Nicole: Congratulations on your new job! Question for you...are you looking for only J.Crew clothing in black, or do you shop elsewhere, too? Also, are you allowed to wear colorful shoes or must you wear basic black?

  9. OT-
I was at my store today--they had the new perfect fit tanks with the darling chiffon rosettes on the shoulder (think rosette merino cardi) but my PS and I agreed you cannot wear them alone and they DO NOT work under cardi based on the placement of the flowers. It's a bummer as they are CUTE! They are in the new catalog and would be great for spring but I don't know about winter--I expect they will go on sale. There is a new rosette cardi that is SO PRETTY in heather acorn and heather chalk. Only saw in catalog.
Also--some great tees with silk/satin rosettes and bows they are $49.50 and yes, it is a t-shirt. I caved with the 20% for one of them.
With regard to anon comment about fuschia--it is called BRIGHT fuschia for a reason:) It is BRIGHT but very fresh and pretty.

One of my fav items but it wasn't in the store was a new cardi with turn back cuffs that had two vintage buttons on the cuff and down the front-merino and $78! Good price really. OMG-this is SO going in my wardrobe!
Also-they are making the cashmere crewneck cardi to look like jackie in a RAINBOW of colors-GORGEOUS!

    Big wedding section-very pretty.

There is a jacket called Maggie double serge--looks VERY cool/cute.

Another cardi with bows around the neckline--very cute!

There is a new ruffle neck cami like a Eliz or lydia blouse that is GORGEOUS!
I mean this catalog is chalk FULL of goodies:) YOUR GONNA LOVE IT:)

Whomever mentioned that those who like ribbons, bows etc. will like the new catalog--THEY WERE RIGHT AND I AM ONE OF THOSE!

I tried the penny on in store--VERY WEIRD FIT. It hung so ODDLY on me--I am a 2 but 4 made no difference--that will be on sale soon.

  15. covert5: I saw the bright fuschia cord pants today, and bright is right! Whoo! Almost painful. I would wear this color in a sweater, tee, or jacket, but I don't know about pants. And, I wear orange, yellow, bright green, pants, but these were pretty bright. IMO

  16. Do any of you high-heel-averse types have the Penelope mary janes? They're so cute. Do they run small? Could you wear them for a few hours with some standing and a little real walking?

  17. Thank you FFM. I will be able to sneak more with shoes after I've complied for a period of time. For now, all black. And all black clothes too. I'll shop anywhere:) I just happen to love J. Crew. I think I may do a Tory Burch chunky heel pump to start with. I'm excited to see what you come up with. I love your style.

  18. Fidele, I ordered Penelope peep toes MJs and they suppose to arrive on Tuesday. I will be able to tell you then how they run, I have Kinzie peep toes from last year and they look remarkably alike in terms of construction. Kinzie run TTS and are super comfy.

  19. I love crewcuts for kids. I have 2 boys but I refuse to pay full price. Kids grow way too fast. I always buy the clothing on sale. For myself I will pay full price on clothing if I really love it because I know I will have it for a long time.
